"I ordered these new rails because one of my rails was beginning to crack after nearly 40 years. I received the new rails without any problems and immediately put them on my waterbed to try them. I was not really fond of the look and the color of the rails as soon as I saw them, but despite that I decided to try them on the bed. The first thing I noticed was they were not nearly as padded as my old rails and not nearly the manufacturing quality of my old rails. I also noticed they were fitting poorly on the bed, wobbling and sliding up and down and because of the poor fit they would often roll off the bed side rail when getting out of the bed. After several days of this I finally decided to call Waterbed Outlet to return them for a refund. However after a week of back and forth phone calls I was told the rails are nonrefundable because "our site specifically states our padded rails fit rails 1.5 inches" and I should not have ordered them because my rails are 1 3/8 inches and all you have to do is put in a wedge and they will fit. I searched the company web site and still can not find the statement about the width of the bed side rails. Anyhow despite the poor fit, I dislike the color and look and they are poorly made compared to my old padded rails which I have put back on my waterbed. I will never do business with this company again and I advise others to be very cautious if you plan to. My best advice though is to totally avoid doing business with them. They do not stand behind their products."

"I purchased a waterbed mattress cover to replace the one I purchased ten years ago. The quality of the new cover is garbage - thin, no liner, etc. The company did not make it clear that they will NOT accept returns so I am now out $400 for a piece of junk. Do not buy from this company."

"I ordered a product from the website, which promptly asked if I wanted to pay $14 and changes to upgrade to priority shipping. I paid the charge to upgrade. The next business day, I received a call telling me that the priority shipping was actually $55 and change, and that I would need to pay additional money for that service. I stated that I had paid the price listed on their website. They then told me that the terms and conditions have a section (which I confirmed) that basically says that if they say the price is different than the one listed on the website, the consumer has to either pay the new price or cancel the order. Since it was shipping, I just canceled the priority shipping. However, the fact that they basically included a caveat allowing them to increase the prices on any item indiscriminately makes me very leery of doing business with them again. Why would a company include such a caveat unless they intend to frequently increase prices without changing the listing on the website?"
