"Purchased a pre owned vehicle from Volvo Cars Mall of Georgia. I had a slight concern about possible suspension issue with the vehicle. I asked about it and was shown the multi-point inspection sheet that stated everything was good with no leaks or issues with the shocks/struts. I requested that the vehicle be rechecked for piece of mind prior to purchase. I was told that the recheck was done and there were no issues or leaks with shocks or struts. Day 2 after purchase I found the front struts were in fact leaking and began to notice a slight bump and squeak from the left front. Returned to dealer to have them look into it. Now I’m told that it’s normal wear and only seeping, not leaking even though there is oil on the shock tube and oil dripping on the lower spring plate (that’s a leak!). They refused to repair/replace. I proposed that since it was a concern prior to purchase and I was “reassured” that there were no leaks, I am willing to purchase the parts and repair myself if they would reimburse me for the ($900) parts, they refused. Really disappointed in their lack of assistance and willingness to work with me on this.
