"In all my years of shopping online I have never dealt with such a thief of a business such as Vitamin Health and Diet Centers (www.vhadc.com). I, too, will never order from them again.

I placed an order with them on June 5, 2008 and have yet to receive my products. They sure didn't hesitate to debit my credit card for payment the very next day. After patiently waiting for 2 weeks I finally called the phone # listed on their website. I was informed that my order will be shipped out next week. Next week came and went by with nothing delivered. The order status page has changed from "processing" to "backordered". Now whenever I call an answering machine picks up. I call numerous times through out the day, left them voice messages and sent them emails regarding canceling my order and refunding my money. Nothing.

I will definitely pursue this by other means to get my money back. I will also contact the BBB and post my complaint to as many websites and opinion boards as possible to get the word out about Vitamin Health and Diet Centers and their dishonest business practice.

Very, very, very dissatisfied and unhappy customer.

Update: 8/20/08

I want to give an update from my last posting.

After some research on the internet I found that Vitamin Health and Diet Centers also operate under other names such as:

www.vitaquest.com
www.nutritionary.com
www.herbscience.net

This information was found from the BBB at http://ct.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=29&bbb=0111&firm=87053952.

Also from the BBB they report that Vitamin Health and Diet Centers is no longer in business. I really hope that they are being investigated and forced to shut down their website by federal regulations.

On a brighter note, I have disputed the charge with my credit card company and have been credited back the money to my account. After this experience I will make sure to thoroughly check the company's background for reviews and complaints prior to placing any online orders in the future. This is my lesson learned.

"I placed an online order with this company on June 17, 2008 to be shipped UPS ground. On June 27 I called to check status on the order. They gave me a song and dance but stated the products would be to me on the following Monday. When I attempted to request the UPS tracking number, the representative started again playing strange games saying, "Hello," "Hello," "Hello" as if he couldn't hear me. The connection was just fine.

I called him back and with a perfect connection on my end, he again acted as if he couldn't hear me.

The following week, I called several times during their business hours and received an answering machine. It has now been three business days after I left the messages with my contact and order information. No one has returned my calls.

They took my money on the day of order. This is nothing short of theft.

I will be pursuing this matter with the State Attorney General, my personal attorney (because it is the principle of the situation and fortunately I am in a position to do so), the BBB as well as reporting this situation to the companies whose products they sell.

DO NOT, DO NOT order from this company.

"I placed an order with Vitamin Health and Diet Centers on January 23 and paid with Google Checkout. I contacted them through Google Checkout on January 31 and again on February 7 for the order status. To this date, 2 months later, I have yet to receive any response and have requested the order canceled. Fortunately, at least they didn't charge my account. Merely a waste of time."

"Don't buy from this website. After receiving no notice about my order after a month waiting for it, I called in and was told that the product was on its way to the warehouse and would be there in a few days. I was told that I would receive an email from them shortly, but didn't get one. A week later I called and was told that the product was back-ordered (I'd been lied to the first time). I was also told that they were having problems with PayPal (my payment method) but would send the order up to the "back office" for a refund. What bad service."
