"Newbies. Got an ECS k7s5a motherboard and Athlon XP 1700+ CPU. The motherboard is garbage, which isn't really their fault.. it won't take 2 sticks of pc133 without being unstable. I switched to one stick of DDR and haven't had problems since.
Prices are fairly high. $160 for the 1700+ (retail with hs+fan) and $75 for the motherboard. You can find the same combo on various other retailers for a total of $150 and less.
Too bad us Charlotteans have little options as far as PC hardware suppliers."
