"I rarely, give excellence as a customer, as I feel there is always room for improvement however, Village Hats has clearly shown the pinnacle of all-round Customer Service. I cannot find fault. "Anything you have to try on first is going to make it difficult ordering online, hats as well. Village Hat Shop's customer service was top notch as well as their sizing video on their site. I wasn't sure if I should order a Medium or a Large and after calling with questions too, their staff left me feeling confident this new hat will be the perfect match. I shall return. "The Hat is flawless, and I'm delighted with it, but even more so, I'm delighted with the promptness of the people who filled the order and shipped it, to get from San Diego all the way to rural central Virginia within 2 days...and the "customer service" reps are also first rate...both professional and personable, a rare combination that I don't take for granted!"

"The Sinatra hat was great!, it was perfectly described and it looked even better than in the pictures. Although I had to return it for a smaller size I quickly received the replacement hat. Excellent customer service! Emails were replied quickly. I'll continue to buy my hats here."

"terrible service; items not in stock, but takes days to notify after order is confirmed and charged via PayPal. vendor refused to cancel remaining order and only credited tiny fraction of shipping and handling, making only item received more expensive than anticipated; complaint to CS resulted in smarmy reply that I still got a good deal on the hat."

"I've purchase twice from Village Hat Shop, and I couldn't be happier.
The quality of the product is exceptional, order processing was quick, I was notified of each step.
Product arrived well-packaged, was found to be as advertised, and went on vacation with me.
Sizing information was spot-on. I don't normally wear hats ... both of the hats I've ordered fit me perfectly.
As I say, I don't normally wear hats ... but both of these hats are now valued members of my wardrobe.
Village Hat Shop is among the top of my preferred stores. I recommend them highly, and would not hesitate for a moment to purchase from them again.

"I read the first review just prior to ordering. I was a little nervous as I was leaving on vacation in a little over a week and wanted to take the hat with me.

I'm not sure if they read and learned something from the first review, but within 24 hours of placing my order, I received two emails: one confirming my order and the second telling me the hat was in stock and that it would should within two business days.

The hat shipped June 29 (I ordered the 28th) and arrived July 6 (slowed down by the long US holiday weekend).

The first thing I noticed was the hat was packed very well. The price for the quality is impressive.

"Ordered a hat on March 24. Unfortunately their website doesn't indicate whether an item is in stock or not. I received an e-mail stating that the item was not in stock and I would receive an update on when it would ship. I waited, no response, so I sent an e-mail a week later asking for an update. They responded that it would be in and shipped by April 8. On April 10, not having heard anything, I again e-mailed and received a reply that it would ship by the 14th. I finally received the hat on April 21.

I did receive what I ordered, and I'm happy with the hat. I just wish it hadn't taken quite so long, and that Village Hats would be a little more proactive with their order status updates. Aside from that, their website is fairly well organized, and they do have a good selection.
