"So I decided I wanted to get a super nintendo SNES and NES duo, so I looked and this site was top notch just because I saw everything was secure including payment. Well I will never ever look at this site again nor order from it. No communication whatsoever. I went on picked the color I wanted it said it was in stock so cool yay I ordered it with super mario world and mario all stars. A week later they didn't debit my account and order status still says awaiting fulfillment...... So I look at what I ordered again on the site and now it says you cannot order it because it is on backorder????? WTF maybe they should of told me that to begin with before I hit buy. But thats not what bothered me what bothered me was could they email me and tell me oh this is out of stock???? um no, could I go on and change to a color that is in stock ummmm no. When I emailed them no response at all. What's bad is I would of been willing to change the color if they would have thought to call me now I just want to cancel it and make sure they wont't charge me. The amount you pay for shipping is double what any other video game site charges and the other site guarantees shipping in 2 business days and receive it within 5..... Video game central charged me 16 dollars for express shipping and its been 9 days and still not here and I guarantee they will charge me for it and not "read" my email canceling the order. I would never even think of ordering from them again even ebay is better and you can't hardly trust anyone on there. Video Game Central is garbage, if you want a good store for video games look else where unless you don't mind no communication and waiting 3 months to get your package that clearly on the website says all orders shipped within 1-2 business days of receipt of order "

"My son wanted a vintage video game for Christmas. My son searched online for it and found it listed at Video Game Central. I read online reviews and was not pleased by what I was reading. I called them to inquire about their negative reviews and after listening to what they had to say I was not going to order from them. I did ask about the vintage game since it was listed as new on their website. It was not available and had never been removed from their website. They did however have a used copy in stock but it was listed at a lower price online then they were quoting me on the phone. I hung up the phone and did not plan on calling them back. In less than 5 minutes they called me back and offered to sell me the game at the lower price and promised to have it delivered before Christmas with 2 day delivery. He had quoted me a lower price on shipping and made good on his word. He was extremely helpful and I really was impressed by his customer service and I appreciated his effort to change my opionion of his company. I ordered this game late in the day 3 working days before Christmas and as promised it was at our home in time for Christmas day. My son was really happy and I couldn't be more pleased with their serivce. Which goes to prove that you can't always expect poor service after reading negative reviews. I give them 2 thumbs up for excellent service. Most companies during the Christmas rush would not have taken the time to call me back long distance. His extra effort was greatly appreciated. The invoice number I have input is not correct because I deleted their confirmation email before writing this review. Hopefully you will still print my review. Thanks"

"I ordered a Retro Duo 2 in 1 gaming system and a few games from this site a couple weeks back and not even 24 after placing my order it was shipped via USPS. A week later my order arrived in pristine condition and was packed extremely well as Video Game Central made sure nothing would be damaged in transit. Everything has worked amazing since then with the exception of a NES Tetris cartridge but after giving it a cleaning I figured out the problem as I had to put the game in on a angle in order for the pins to recognize it properly. Other than that there were no major problems as I have had a lot of fun catching up a lot of games that made up my youth. I read the reviews on here a night before my Retro Duo/games arrived and wondered if I made a mistake in terms of ordering from this company but now that I've had this system & games for nearly a week now I don't regret the decision to go with them. I do sympathize with those here that have had problems with this company but as stated I didn't have any problems whatsoever with this website. So I guess it comes down to do business with them at your own risk. "

"16 days after I ordered a UFC toy belt (the site said it usually ships within 24 hr) I checked the order status on their website & it said it was Awaiting Fulfillment. I called the number on their site for 3 days with no answer & no answering machine. I had to put a stop payment which I have to re-enact every 3 days. I sent them 2 e-mails saying to cancel order & if they charge my card I will file with the Better Business Bureau. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! No customer service!!!"

"This is the absolute worst experience I have had on the net ordering anything. I ordered a simple Retro Duo system. The first problem is that it came like 2 and a half weeks after I ordered it. And I paid like $15 for shipping!! I mean give me a break. Then when I received the unit it looked as if it had been used, it had finger prints on it and when I plugged it in it was DOA!

I then had to endure the painstaking process of calling their so-called customer service phone. I was transferred to some guy that sounds like porky pig! This guy Randy was couldn't even answer a straight question. It was an awful experience. All I wanted from him was details on how to exchange it.

I truly would not recommend this store to my worst enemy. There are way too many companies out there to be treated like this. I should have listened to the reviews from previous.

"I pre-ordered a MadCatz TE Fight Stick from Video Game Central thinking that they could deliver this product to me because they were opening accepting pre-orders. They even had a notice that if you pre-ordered before 1/27/09 you would not get back ordered. Well when Feb 18th rolled around (the date they were supposedly getting the product) I did not receive a phone call, an e-mail or any sort of notification that let me know the situation.

I e-mailed the company five times before I got a response. Four months later I still didn't receive my product or any reassurance.

I understand that the product was in high demand, but the lack of customer service was terrible. I have cancelled my order and went to a more reliable company.

"This place called video game central dose nothing but lie to it's customers over and over again excuse after excuse . I would not waste my money on this place what so ever . There are many more companies out there that would not only give you good customer service but your product would be delivered on time . Video game central dose not care about customer service at all because if they did they would not lead people on and lie to them . And if you tell them on the phone your not happy with the services and how you been treated . There attidude is who cares don't shop here anymore . They could care less. Video game central that's a real nice way to treat your customers ! They have know respect for there customer at all. And customer service should be #1 for any business that wants to make it out there because with out us the customer you don't have a business or a job to come to. which these people lack and dont understand what so ever !! Remember video game central your customers are your bread and butter and without them your nothing remember that next time you tell a customer you don't care if they come back or not. "

"This website is great to purchase video games for a few bucks cheaper than other places. The business seems a bit more casual than Best Buy, Circuit City, or Gamestop, but they're reputable nonetheless.

I pre-ordered two Playstation 3 games from Video Game Central and they arrived undamaged and within reasonable time.

On top of that, they take the time to call you personally to make sure there are no fraudulent orders being billed on your card.

I'd gladly shop at Video Game Central again.

"UNFORGIVABLE! No customer service reachable. I ordered the same thing later for $20 cheaper and I got it from Amazon before my order was even processed at videogamecentral.com

(gamesusainc). I thought that it would be "safe" to buy something through Yahoo...but this site is a disgrace.

I also found out that videogamecentral.com

(gamesusainc) is run by a bunch of immature children. This is personified by some of the Youtube videos they have created. One example of this would be the one at the link on the bottom of this post in which they are gloating about someone who attempted credit card fraud on there site. The title is:"Melvin Griggs Just Got PWNED". They not only give out much of the offender's personal information, but also reference "sexual" actions will be part of his imprisonment.

I respect entrepreneurs but the people behind the show at videogamecentral.com

(gamesusainc) are obviously too immature to handle running the respectful business that they try to fool customers into thinking they are. This video is also posted on their site.

I write this in hopes that Yahoo will sever connections with this site for the good of us all.

"I placed an order for an in stock item on on December 6th. As of the 13th, I had heard nothing from them. Calling them revealed that the item was backordered. I had to call a total of 8 times, 3 times it was busy, once someone picked up and hung up, and 3 times the call was "disconnected" during the call. They blamed this on their phone system being VOIP and that they were dealing with heavy call volume. With such high call volume, of the 4 times my call was answered, it was answered in less than 4 rings. Also, I'm fairly sure there were only 2 guys answering the phone, as I talked to Dawell the first two times, and Dominic the next 2 times, and he mentioned "the other guy taking calls" telling him about our problems staying connected. Bottom line, I should have been notified of my item actually being backordered since it was listed as in stock at the time of my order. Also, I shouldn't have to call them (long distance) 8 times to cancel my order."
