Took The Money and Ran

"Placed an order for meds for my cat. The money was immediately withdrawn from my account. Five days went by without any contact from the company. No update on their website. No tracking number. Day five I emailed the company. That was three days ago and no contact or info of any kind. They have my money, I haven't received my order and there doesn't appear to be any way to reach these thieves."

AVOID BUYING PET MEDS FROM THIS COMPANY!

"If I could I would give this company a rating of zero. Save yourself the stress of dealing with this company, by buying your pet's meds from a reputable company. Instead of doing the right thing, they hide behind the telephone as you stay on hold, hoping you will give up.

My cat was very sick and we didn't know how long she would live, but I bought more of this product just in case our supply ran out. Short story, our cat died so I tried to return the unused product for a refund. I was well within the 30 days of purchase window and the product was not a prescription drug. I tried calling Customer Service numerous times, and waited on hold for nearly 30 minutes before giving up. I finally wrote an email to Customer Service and then waited for a response. After no response, I got up 5 am to call Customer Service at their 8 am open time. A woman answered and as soon as I mentioned I was calling for a return and refund, she hung up on me! So I got my credit card company involved to investigate providing them with documents showing the transaction, my telephone calls to them, and my email. Within a day, I got an email response with a prepaid FedEx merchandise return label and a statement that they would issue a refund once the package arrived at their facility. I tracked the delivery to their facility, then waited again for a week for my refund. When nothing happened, I sent another email with a copy of FedEx's proof of delivery. Within a day, I received a response saying they issued a full refund. How this company has stayed in business with such poor Customer Service is beyond belief.

VetDepot - Why you no have a cancel order button?

"VetDepot is just another shady company that doesn't let you cancel an order online, prints the shipping label as quickly as they can so if you actually get a response to an email or phone call, they claim that's it's already shipped. In reality, it won't ship for days.

Their online order site duplicated my order; It declined my CC and when I re-entered it it charged me a higher price. Just avoid them. Shop at Petmeds or Chewys or some other reputable site.

Scammers

"I placed a. Order September 10th for medication for my sick horse. On 9/11/23 they took $478 out of my account and still haven’t shipped the medication. I
Cannot afford to reorder from someone reputable because they won’t refund my
Money. I’ve emailed and called daily. No response. Almost $500 stolen !

Will not answer phone

"I’ve been on holding for 45 minutes to check on an order, they do not answer, and I have no idea on the status of my order which I paid $85 for. I will pay the extra money and go elsewhere, this company is not worth it!"

Bad experience

"Ordered a Pfizer ear-cleaning solution listed as "in stock". They charged my credit card immediately, took 12 days to ship. Then shipped a different product than what I ordered -- different ingredients and, most troubling, a strong scent. The product I thought I was ordering (Pfizer) is unscented. Last but not least, you can't check out without creating an account thus giving your e-mail which they've clearly sold since I'm now getting spam for vet products from places I've never heard of.
Would give zero stars if that were possible.

Careful ordering critical medications

"Careful buying from this company. They are NOT a pharmacy but a middleman buying from an on-line pharmacy. Vet Depot makes many mistakes and lacks proper communication abilities to successfully fill an order. If you buy from them you must allow a couple weeks for delivery and follow up daily."

Wish I looked here first!

"Had similar experiences to most other people here and wish I had checked this site before setting up my subscription. I used this site for flea/tick medication only and can't believe the number of issues I had. Initially it was the time to get the prescription. The vet sent it in right away. They had taken my money but still no sign of shipping. I checked with them after a couple of weeks and they said they were still waiting on the vet. Had the vet resend; still no action. After having the vet send the same form in three times, they finally shipped.

Second issue was shipping: instead of using the stored shipping address I put in they used an amalgamation of my billing and shipping addresses which resulted in the wrong zip code and an undeliverable address. So the item was being held by UPS. I only found this out when I tried tracking the stuff down. VetDepot know but never notified me or tried to rectify it. So instead I had to go to the UPS facility to pick up the medication. Fine, hopefully issue resolved.

Medication then came on a somewhat regular basis, but usually 2-3 weeks off of when it should have arrived given the ongoing subscription that was supposed to ship automatically every 3 months. In hindsight, I'm really glad this was not some time critical medication for my dog.

The third and final issue came with the last shipment. I noticed they jacked the price up 36% over the price I had been paying for 2.5 years. I inquired about it and they told me they had the right to increase the price without notification. That may be, but a significant jump like that to a customer that has been with your for 2.5 years should have triggered some type of electronic response. But they agreed to honor the price I had been paying - for this shipment only. They processed my payment but didn't ship for almost two weeks. When I went to track the shipment it came up as null. I went into my account info to find out what had happened and it turns out they shipped it to the wrong address; same issue as with the first shipment. It was returned. I received no notification, no refund. So I emailed them. Sent 3 emails over the past 2 weeks asking them to re-ship the medication immediately as it had been over a month now without it and then cancel my subscription - as there's no way to do that online. I finally received a response this morning. It read as follows: "Your order has been cancelled. We hope we can help you in the future! Please allow 3 to 5 business days for the credit to post to your credit card." I thought the language I used was clear but apparently not.

Moral of the story: STAY AWAY. I went online this morning and looked at 3 other sites. All have the same medication for less than I was paying for the last 2.5 years. Assuming they can perform the complicated task of shipping to an address on a regular basis, I will be choosing one of them.

Same Problem as Everyone Else

"I ordered some prescription flea medicine from Vet Depot. They took my money right away, of course. After a week of not hearing from them I contacted my vet who told me the refill had been declined because my dog hadn't been seen within the past year. Annoying, but I could live with that. I then attempted to contact Vet Depot by phone and by email but got no response. I called again this morning and got voicemail again but this time the mailbox was full and I couldn't leave a voicemail. Not a good sign. I then filed a dispute with my bank and we'll see if I get my money back. This was not my first purchase from them and I'd had good luck prior to this one.

I think they're going out of business and I'd be surprised if my bank was able to resolve the issue. Don't buy anything from them, you'll never see your purchase and be luck to get your money back.

Stay Away!

"I ordered a heartworm preventive on May 15th, 2018, and I communicated to my vet that VetDepot would be contacting them about a prescription. TWO WEEKS go bye and VetDepot never once reached out to my vet, my vet reached out to them THREE separate times and could not get ahold of them! It takes less than 5 minutes for VetDepot to receive and confirm a faxed prescription, this is inexcusable. They never reached out to me about my order until May 29th when I received an automated email saying that their “current processing time is delayed and to cancel my order if I need my medicine soon”. Obviously I need my medicine soon because it’s been 3 weeks now, so I call them several times to figure out how to cancel my order because you can’t simply cancel it online. They will never answer your phonecall it just goes straight to voicemail each time. They were able to process my payment as soon as I purchased my item but never even tried to get my item to me. This is a scam, after reading multiple reviews of people not ever hearing from VetDepot or receiving their products, I can only assume that they hope you will purchase something and forget about it. So after not being able to reach them by phone multiple times, I sent them an email and two days later, JUNE 4th (now 4 weeks since I ordered from them) they emailed me saying they cancelled my order. Never once called me back. MEANWHILE, the same day they cancelled my order, I found Allivet to order from and my prescription was processed the same day and they shipped it to me that night. This is why VetDepot is a scam and after all of these terrible, very similar review experiences, how are they still in business?! "

HIGHLY DISSAPOINTED

"Ordered a month ago. In the transition of moving. The Payment processed, vet didn’t give me a fax number and I made note of being contacted via phone for this vet. No one contacted me about the issue on the order until reached out.
Yes I should of gotten a fax number but why couldn’t anyone contact me sooner? So I could resolve it for my dogs to get there PX sooner.
Lack of organizational skills. Customer Service is an joke with their phone tag calls. (Call then hang up as you’re answering) Take your business to your local vet or another company who can actually provide you with customer care for you and your pet.

Great Price

"I read many negative reviews about vetdepot. But the price was so good I figured I'd give it a chance. One of the reoccuring complaints I've read was lack of customer service, I emailed the company after hours and receive a reply the very next day. Once my vet finally faxed my prescription over I received my product in 5 days. I will definitely be buying all of my dogs perscriptions from Vet Depot."

Why are these people even in business?

"I placed an order that had issues which were resolved over the phone after consulting my vet. I had not given the correct weight for my dog's medication so I spoke to someone and updated the order. All seemed fine. I was waiting on the order to arrive when it was inexplicably cancelled. The vet told me they had heard nothing from vetdepot so I called the customer service line - which oddly only allows you to leave voicemail. I received a return call with quite possibly the most rude representative I have ever dealt with - she said the order had been cancelled because they had done what they could. I told her my vet hadn't heard from them, which she refuted, and then made some bogus claim that the order was past the 31 day limit. For what? I am not sure. "Oh, actually, it's 21 days but still, it's been cancelled and you'll be refunded." And then she hung up. Okay? So, I have no idea why they cancelled the order. The whole transaction took place within 2 weeks and I have used the same vet for over five years - they are professional and responsive. I have been trying to call to speak with a manager, but of course, only get the voicemail recording and surprise, no one is calling back. The experience has been really bizarre and disturbing. Lots of red flags. "
