"I too got screwed by this guy. I'm trying to file a police report, and I talked to computer crimes in Flushing, NY - the supposed address of universalelectronicz.

The IP address/Domain is registered to 7539 Pine Lake Ln., Charlotte, NC. The "Who Is" from the email order confirm header is registered to "1 N. State St., Chicago, IL."

You can file a complaint at www.ic3.gov (a part of the FBI). If they get enough complaints they will investigate - so please complain.

Also, you need to file a criminal report with your local or state police department. Don't let them tell you it's a civil matter - it's not.

"I bought 2 Canon Inks ($ 40.53)on September 17th, 2009. Actually, I spoke twice with Mr. Freedy B. and he He promised and swore, on Sept. 24th, to send me my FEDEX number on friday, that's means that I should have received my package on Sept 28th... Of course, I never received anything, and have passed more than 6 weeks!!!! I can't believe that they are "still processing my order"!!! What does mean that??? I've call him several times on October but no one has answers me , even by email!
I really regret about to have been so naive.
Freddy (professional scammer), please give my money back right now!!!

"Don't use this Company!!! They are horrible.
I ordered a Motorola DOCSIS 3 Cabelmodem from them on 8/8/09. I never received ANY communication from this company until I emailed them FIRST to inquire about my order. I finally did receive a product from them on 8/21/09, but it was not as advertised. I ordered a NEW Cablemodem, these guys sent me a USED one ... and it is DEFECTIVE to boot! I had my ISP come out and they tested everything else and after registering this modem, it still FAILED to work.
So then I contacted them to return it, and they tell me I must go to Motorola to get it replaced! Can you believe these guys???

I will be making a report to the BBB as as to the AG and other agencies ... these guys should not be operating.

"This site is the worst scam site ever. I ordered almost a month ago and still haven't recieved my product. I call in everyday and get an answering machine. They don't even have the decency to return calls or emails I hate these types of scam sites. I tried to buy some speakers and this is what happens. I WANT MY MONEY BACK NOW!!! This freddie b guy thinks he can just take all our hard earned money and get away with it by trying to make us believe this is a trustworthy site, but it isn't. I either want my product or I want my money back. Look, he even tried to scam and trick us. He changed his site name to universalelectronicz.com instead of .net. Check it, its the same site. Don't get scammed by these guys."

"Well I have pretty much the same story as everyone else with these guys, with a twist. Yes it took a month before I saw any change in my order status, but I did in fact receive a Fedex tracking number: 020643077481484 If you'd like to check it out, you'll see that, yes, an order was shipped, BUT IT WAS SHIPPED TO THE ADDRESS OF UNIVERSAL ELECTRONICZ!!!!! I live in Alberta, Canada, not New York. In another, seemingly rarer, turn of events, I actually had a conversation with the man, the legend, Mr. Freddie Bodden, who gave me his usual "Our system says your order has been delivered" speech. I asked him to look up the same tracking number I list above, and see if the address and signature were familiar to him. After that I got a half-hearted promise that it would be taken care of, and was quickly hung up on. That's the last I've heard of it. Oh except that I think the phone number has been disconnected. You no longer get even his cheesy answering machine thing, but a message stating that "the location you are calling is not available." Please lodge a complaint with the New York Better Business Bureau. You can do it online after you read this at www.bbb.org. This ******* needs to be shut down before he STEALS anyone else's money."

"Ordered online, received 1 email confirmation of order, and since then, nothing. I have left 2 voicemails in the general mailbox and emailed 3 times in the past 2 weeks. All unanswered. "This company is a scammer who takes money from people and never ships the item to people who already pay for it. After my several attempts I found this website and I am not surprised about the amount of complaints I saw in the website. Freddie is the name of the person who is in charge , whom I spoke on the phone and he promised that I will receive my items on September 20 of 2009 monday. Since than I have tried to contact the person via email and phone but nobody returned my attempts. Finally today I have complained to www.ic3.gov about this scam. I also think this Freddie guy has no shame in what he does, and he replies to people's complaints. If you know so much why don't you contact to your customers, the people who you stole money from. I will keep complaining and reporting this scammer and it's company wherever I can on the web or the government. We work and honestly for our money and this kind of THIEFS steal it. Shame on you and your business you thief. FREDDIE IS ALSO A BRAZEN SHAMELESS PERSON WHO LIES SO EASILY. IF YOU KNOW SO MUCH FREDDIE, WHY DON'T YOU RESPOND TO THE EMAILS AND PHONE MESSAGES. "I ordered a product over 3 weeks ago and STILL teh order status has notchanged. It still reads PROCESSING. This is ludicrous!! when i purchase a product online from a "reputable" company (thats a far stretch) i expect a receive my product in a reasonable amoutn of time (5-7 business days) I have attempted to contact the "Store Owner" on the companies website 3 TIMES, with absolutely not a peep from anyone. How do you stay in business? Not to mention that communication with your customers is a must to run a good business. A simple inquiry requires a simple response...but NOTHING??? that is totally unacceptable. You take money, and DON'T deliver the goods. I call that STEALING!! "

"Run away from this company. Ordered an item on Sep 14, 09, and my current status is the same as then "processing." Follow-up e-mails and phone calls are not answered. Convenient that there is no direct number to talk to a representative, just voice mail.

Update - My item arrived on Tuesday. Still no contact from Universal Electronicz, after numerous emails, phone calls and a fax. Best bet - spend your dollars somewhere else, and you will sleep better at night. Hopefully Mr. Earl "Freddie" Boddin will figure out that customer satisfaction is more than a line on a web page.

I would be willing to wait for my items, if they could tell me when I might get them. Alas, time to contact the credit card company and tell them to stop the transaction.

Be very cautious when dealing with this company.

"My credit card was charged 2 weeks ago and there has been no correspondence from Universal. I have emailed them and received no reply. I have tried calling the number that tagged on my credit card bill and it's a fax number. My order only says processing. Nothing has changed. Nobody has answered my email. There's no contact number. I'm pretty sure it was a mistake to order from Universal and I will be trying to work it out with my Credit Card in the next day or two. "
