"I made a stupid choice by buying it from UniteMacro. I bought a AMD DESKSTOP. Everything seemed to okay. After a week i started to wonder. So i gave them a call. They told me my computer will be either shipped today or next day. I am like fine. As a matter of fact it was not fine. A week passed a called and asked for a tracking number, he said "just a minute" and hanged up the phone on me. I called him again no responce, no response to email. After 3 weeks i called my credit card company and gat my money back. I am still waiting for them to verify that and give me money back for sure.

If you haven't notice pcinfinity.net and unitedmacro.com look very similiar web design, same email address, same dawm phone numbers, same address

Stay Away from the Seller, I should of visited this website before buying. Learn from my mistake

"Ordered a ms1039 laptop with mt40 processor and a toshiba 100 meg 16 meg buffer HD.Recieved a ML42 processor with a Samsung 100 meg 8 meg buffer.This was the worse buying experience of my life.The laptop was running very hot when I got it so I checked the components.They were wrong so I called them back and got a very hard time.They told me to send it back and the would credit even for the shipping so that was fine.The day it was delivered they called me back and said the replaced the processor and the are sending it back to me.I said I was expecting a credit because I didn't want the same one back because over the heat issue.He said he built me a new one because the one I shipped back had a broken screen,and if I want a credit I would lose about 250.00 in restocking fee's.So he sends it back to me and mean while I put the claim into Fedex for the damaged laptop.I recieved the exact same laptop I sent him because I wrote down the serial number of the original because I wanted to register it and it had the same number.I called back and he said the serial numbers are in runs of a 100 and they are all the same!I reported them to the BBB and they recomended that i report them to FBI internet fraud and ATT general.I am waiting for a response from them before i report."

"United Micro substituted items in my order.
1) I ordered MS Win XP x64 and the system came with XP SP2. They did not respond to telephone or email complaint. I am stuck with the wrong thing.

2) I ordered LG & Samsung DVD drives and received Sonys.

3) When I looked inside the case, I noticed that all hard drives were mounted with 3 screws instead of 4, as required by WD. That is unprofessional and I can't believe someone is trying to save money by eliminating a required screw.

4) The case had a small crack in the plexiglass front. Not the end of the world, but not nice looking.

They did not respond to telephone or email complaint.
No issues resolved. I am stuck with the wrong things and feel a bit ripped off.

"We ordered a custom-built PC, with components selected from their online configurator, although the actual order was placed over the phone. We asked to be emailed an itemized summary of the order and told them that substitutions of components would not be acceptable, and this was agreed upon. We did not receive any email order summary. About a week later a system arrived. It was well packed. Our problems began on unpacking the system, to find that it was not as we had specified. An inferior motherboard (lacking many of the features of the one originally ordered, such as the Nvidia Ultra chipset, 7.1 audio, onboard firewire, onboard optical and coaxial SPDIF connectors, 4 SATA controllers etc) had been substituted. Checking the Newegg site confirmed that there was a large price difference between the 2 boards. Also, the graphics card was missing, with just a hole in the back panel where the connectors should have protruded. We decided to call United Micro immediately, but had some difficulty reaching Robert since he did not answer the phone though it was the middle of the day. When he finally answered, he said he had only just arrived at work (2 p.m). Then he claimed that someone had called and obtained our consent to the substitution, which claim was completely false.
In light of this poor customer service and questionable integrity, we asked to return the system for a full refund. Robert agreed to refund the purchase price but not the shipping
cost, stating that it was a company policy.
That is to say, even though they had shipped the wrong system and an incomplete one, they refused to make good their mistake(?) in a way which would not leave the customer out of pocket.
A UPS pickup was arranged for the following day.
That same evening, Robert called again to try to persuade us to accept the system, offering to change the motherboard for one which was different both from the installed one and from the one originally ordered (because they did not have that, despite it showing on their configurator).
During that call, he apologized for the mistake(?) and asked us to consider the new motherboard he suggested. He claimed that the new motherboard he was offering would be an upgrade to the one we ordered at no extra cost to us. He also promised that should we choose to go with a refund rather than the new motherboard he suggested,
he would refund the shipping as well and that our
refund would be processed within a week of receipt of the system.
However these promises were not kept.
A quick check online revealed that the new motherboard offered was also cheaper
and not as full-featured as the one we originally ordered, so we contacted
United Micro to inform them that that we had chosen to take the full refund.
Weeks after UPS tracking indicated the returned system had arrived, we still did not receive any credit on our credit card. They ignored our emails about this and it was only after we called them (again with difficulty) that a refund finally appeared, minus the shipping charge. When we called Robert again to ask why the shipping had not been refunded as promised, he claimed that it was because "technically" it was "not exactly" an error on their part, whatever that was supposed to mean. To me, it was simply further evidence of his lack of trustworthiness. He said that we were responsible for the cost of shipping because we had "changed our minds" on them and now asserted that the motherboard they gave us was equivalent to the one we ordered. When I pointed out to him that under the law, merchants were not allowed to substitute merchandise without the customer's consent, he then claimed that he had offered to get hold of the motherboard we ordered but that we had declined his offer - a blatant lie. I wish I had read the resellerratings reviews before placing our order with United Micro, as I found reviews reporting the same pattern:
substitutions of components (often motherboards), difficulty contacting them (not answering the phone, ignored emails) and unwillingness to refund shipping when they are completely to blame for the return of goods. I would certainly have avoided doing business with this company.

"This makes 5 computers that I have purchased from UnitedMicro.com. I have always been pleased with my purchases. I have had one pc that I ordered did not come on time. I requested an update via email and was responded to within 24 hrs. (acceptable but not speedy) On this order They no longer carry the Motherboard I ordered. I recieved a phone call AND an email from them asking me to change my order. I was very pleased! I spoke with two people from UM and both were VERY kind and knowledgable! I was assisted in making the choice of which mobo to choose. I would rate the entire experience 10 out of 10. They have always been VERY good to me."

"I purchased an amd64 x2 dual core system along with an lcd monitior. It took 3 weeks for them to even ship it to me. I had to call them and yell at them for them to even ship it. When I finally got it an installed Linux on it I kept getting random kernel errors which were pointing to hardware problems. I ran mprime and it was suggesting a CPU problem. I called them and they told me to call AMD. I did and AMD said nothing was wrong but they replaced it anyway. There were still hardware problems when I got the new CPU. This time I found memory errors using memtest86. I wanted to just return the whole system but they refuse to give me an RMA number because I took out the CPU. They are the ones who told me to take it out in the first place. I'm still in the middle of dealing with this junk they sent me two months after ordering it."

"The biggest part with this site is that their 'configurator' will not prevent user to choose invalid combination of the components, wich would be just a common sence and easy to emplement. If that happens, they will change your order and send you something else. In my case they never contacted my even they have my email on file. They claim that they left message on my answering machine but I never get it. They are so arrogent because they charge restocing fees and not refund shipping so customer pretty much locked in the purchase."

"Configured an Athlon 3700+ desktop. Before they shipped it, they emailed us there was no CPU! They say that only the motherboard listed as default comes with a CPU, and none of the other motherboards do! So if you change the mobo, you get no CPU? That's not really an Athlon 3700+ computer then, is it?

Now we'll be charged 25 dollars to cancel the order. Be very careful when ordering from these guys.

"I ordered a complete system. It was double packed and secure and arrived in perfect condition. All accessories were included.

I ordered a system without an OS and when I installed the video card drivers I ran into a system sentinel low power dialog. I eliminated all the possible issues(powersupply, drivers, mobo, etc) and finally determined it was a partially defective video card. I emailed them requesting them what options I had for replacement. Boris asked me to call. I called and explained what was going on. While I was on the phone, he called EVGA directly and got a me a contact to RMA and the replacement card was in the mail that day! I was extremely impressed with this customer service. I got the card and everything is working 100% now.

"Excellent sales representative, and even better customer support. When the RAID controller I ordered became out of stock, customer support called to let me know it would be at least 3 weeks delay. After I explained the importance of the controller (I could not finish building my Christmas PC without it), customer support managed to get one shipped the same day. It was in its original packaging (not refurbished), was a breeze to instal and has worked flawlesly since its instalation.
I would buy again with confidence from the company.

"I order a custom built Pentium 3.4 computer from United Micro. My experience was "shall I say" is mixed. There prices are very good and reasonable. They packaged the computer excellently (double boxed and plenty of Styrofoam). Possessing time wasn't all that bad (From sales to service). I ordered July 1st and got it around the July 12th. I sent it back for service on July 18th and got it back on July 26. I sent it back because Hyper Threading wasn't working, either was any of the play back on both the DVD Burner & Rom. My feelings are that these things should have been properly tested before it even shipped.

So I sent it back and got it back about 8 days later (not bad time frame). But customer service contact absolutely sucks. No one ever returns any phone calls, no one ever answers the phone. The only way to get in contact with them is through e-mail. Kind off tuff if you don't work next to a computer. I asked for an email receipt 5 times of my order, and never got one. The pc was fixed and works very well. Would I buy from them again? I really don't know.

"Complete con artists! I bought a what was supposed to be a genuine AMD Athlon XP 3200 processor, instead I recieved a USED processor, VERY USED with excessive heat damage, even the 4 little foam pads are dry rotted and covered with old dust. The cpu looks to be a counter fit, I have compared it to one of the other 3 AMD XP processor I have here and it doesnt even look close to an actual AMD product. I intend to report them to AMD, FBI, and other agency, a refund isnt good enough for these CROOKS!

Please if you have have simular fraud complaints contact me and DO NOT SEND your fraudulent processors back, your just giving them the evidence of the crime back! Do not wipe the processor off or handle.

"Absolutely dismal customer service. "In stock" item took 10 days to leave warehouse. Spoke with managers Dimitri and Chris, who were both unhelpful in resolving any issue. Dimitri blatantly lied to me on two occasions. I would not recommend purchasing from this website on any occasion. "
