"I used to buy trading card boxes and singles from TrollandToad.com as an avid and loyal customer. Recently, I needed to get some cash quickly, so I decided to sort out cards I no longer needed (many of which were M/NM singles purchased from T&T that were immediately cased and put in a protective binder) to sell to T&T. They graded many of them as much worse than the conditions they graded them when selling which was immensely suspicious, but I needed the cash, so I gave the go ahead to complete the sale. It has been WEEKS that I was supposed to get paid to my PayPal, and they've now gone silent after a cheap email that claimed "Oh, you're past the 10 day payment period for a buylist order, we'll get our accounting department to expedite payment" that I finally got back days ago. It's a true shame as I liked their website, but I can only conclude that they've become immensely scammy in the past years. I would deeply suggest not to buy their overpriced singles and products and to DEFINITELY stay away from theur buylist department."
"I sent in nearly two thousand mint low value Yugioh cards that had been stored since coming out of the pack. The total buylist order added up to $745.70 and was organized and shipped exactly as instructed. I sent it on 5/10/2023, and it was delivered two days later, but it took two additional weeks before the order status updated to reflect that it had been received. It has finally been processed as of today 6/14/2023, but the payment has been reduced to $437.90, and I still haven't received anything. I looked at all the cards multiple times before shipping, and there might have been $5-$10 worth of cards that weren't in perfect shape, but over $300 is absolutely ridiculous. What I noticed was that several of the higher card prices on the buylist dropped significantly immediately after I sent in my order, which should not have affected my payment, but I don't see any other way they could've done it.
Total scam. DO NOT TRUST THEM"

"They simply don't take it, even if they are completely out of a product, and can resell it for a lot, they wont even offer you a pittance, even if it's on their buylist of stuff they supposedly want.
Waste of your time to bother packing stuff up, making sure the invoice list is right, and paying to mail it away. Probably wise not to buy from them either, given how sketch they are."

Immediately upon receipt I got an email back that they were not in good enough condition to review and sent them back at my expense. This is a lie as in reviewing my cards, they were all in Near Mint condition. They simply did not want to take the time to review my cards and thought it would save them time to return to me. They also took my top loaders and sleeves and refused to return them to me. They are liars, scammers, and theives."

"I had a great experience with troll and toad. I was paid exactly what they quoted me and every question I had was answered very quickly. The product i sent them arrived on a Tuesday and I was paid Wednesday (the very next day) I was nervous because I read many bad reviews but I have to say these people must have either sent in damaged product or did not follow the guidelines. Overall I would 100% recommend selling to Troll and Toad, great experience, 10/10"

"Would wholly recommend NOT going through Troll and Toad (Kentucky) if you are looking for someone to buylist your cards. UNLESS YOU LIVE IN THE AREA. DO NOT. DO NOT. DO NOT. If they think they can they will con you the first chance they get and lie through their teeth about it. I have had three packages I have sent them over the last couple years to be buylisted. The first two orders (orders# 346119 and #346755. sent around Nov-Dec 2018) consisted of many (order 346119 was all) holographic 1st edition Pokemon cards. Which they still tried to play games with me on, but I had some real hard evidence (and they had less money I would assume) but they got a very good deal no matter how they tried to cover it. I recently (nov-dec 2019) tried to send another order which did not have a bunch of shiny beautiful cards in it and oh boy, was it a different story. Not only did they offer me an amount that barely covered the shipping they purposefully took my cards (wait for it. only the real valuable ones) which I explicitly told them not to keep and sent the rest back (I wanted my whole order sent back because they are swindling pieces of **** and I don't want them to have any of my cards). I am a hard man to con and long term I will be fine, but these guys are not whole people and I recommend to most of you (especially young aspiring collectors) to avoid going through them because I don't want you to go through the same. "Troll and Toad sent 5 cards to the value of $116 USD to Australia without placing them in top loaders or equivalent protection from dammage. So ofcause they arived bent, creased and worthless. Its teken over a week reciveing one email every second day. I gave them all the information they asked for and they are still dragging out the issue. I've had to turn to PayPal for a refund. I have never had such a terrible experience purchasing online. Troll and Toad are unprofessional and treat customers like trash. I am glad I didn't go all out on my first order and purchase all the items I wanted. I certainly will never buy from Troll and Toad again and warn others to stear clear."

"They offered one of the cheaper booster boxes I could find, so I tried to purchase but it required making an account. I signed up for an account, but email verification never came (I believe they are just collecting known passwords for emails, friendly reminder never to reuse the same password). Still wanting to buy cards, the next morning I tried signing in through gmail, and a pop up saying "true" glitched and I couldn't get past it. I then got a little paranoid and checked out their reviews, they are horrible, and I agree. Glad I didn't give them my credit card. "
