"FALSE ADVERTISEMENT, Bait and switch operating. Ordered product, confirmed shipment, then receieved email that the itme is not ready to be shipped and our order was conviently automaticaly canceled.

False advertisement, and if i had any more free time I'd sue their ass for misrepresenting and causing damages to my business.

"Ordered a $1100 CPU from them which they had (and still have) advertised at $597. Needless to say the order was cancelled by them sans e-mail....no return calls, no nothing. This organization is a classic scam....they are just phishing your financial data. Would make a nice class action suit."

"Placed order which has not arrived. Payed axtra for tracking number which has not been provided. I also tried to call them and the person that answered told me it took 73 hours to provide tracking number. It has now been 9 days.. they do not return my phone calls."

"Purchased a 50" Panasonic Plasma tv from trio on Nov. 10th. This tv is advertised as having free shipping on cnet as well as

on many other sites. I could not get the free shipping to come up on their site so I did not place this order online but

called them instead. They told me that the free shipping didn't apply for tvs of that size (although they sure like to

advertise it!) On the phone I asked for assurance that the tv was in stock and that I could have it arrive before the end of

the month (when I was moving out of state). They assured me that it was currently in stock and it could ship out the next day

for an extra charge and that there would be no problem getting it there on time. I paid extra for a tracking number and for

having it ship out the next day. Over the next several days I called them repeatedly asking for my tracking number and was

given various excuses, although they assured me that the tv did ship the next day and their website also said it shipped the

next day. Finally someone told me that tvs over 90lbs don't have tracking numbers, funny how I got one when I ordered the

same tv from anotheer site, and that trio charged me for a tracking number OVER THE PHONE for a product that doesn't have a

tracking option.
So a few weeks pass by and the date the tv is supposed to arrive comes and no tv. I call their customer support line and they

tell me to "cross my fingers" but it should arrive in the next couple days. Needless to say, the tv didn't arrive, and 2 days

after it should have arrived they tell me that it never, in fact, shipped at all, and was on backorder for at least 2 weeks

(meaning I wouldn't get it for at least 4 weeks when I wouldn't even be living in that state anymore). The only reason they confessed to this was because I kept calling them every day about the drop dead date for it being delivered coming up in a couple days after which I no longer wanted the tv from them. They offered to refund half the shipping charge which was utterly unimpressive considering shipping should have been free as advertised in the first place and part of it was my charge for next day shipping and tracking anyway. I tell them to cancel the order and I order the tv from another vendor.
About five days after that I get a call at work from a shipping company telling me the tv was on it's way (from trio) to my old address (the ship date is after I cancelled) and I tell him to return it to trio while it's en route. Trio charges my credit card the ENTIRE purchase price of the tv and FULL shipping and they refuse to refund it even though I never received a thing and they know it. I've had to file a charges dispute with my credit card company. I have no doubt in my mind that they did NOT ship me the tv since I know they didn't have it in stock to ship. They either shipped some other product or a box full of shredded paper or something to try and con me into signing for it (I didn't even live in that state anymore!). I thought this nightmare would be over once I cancelled the order but that was when the real nightmare began. Do not give any credit card information to this company of thieves.

"While I got the product, their shipping service needs improvement. They shipped the card on the 28 and I paid extra for a tracking number (almost $20 for ground shipping). After a couple days, I called to find out the tracking number and they told me it took 72 hours to process. I called again the next day and they figured out there was a mistake in the system and fixed it, but the card showed up that day so the extra for a tracking number was worthless.

Overall, their shipping prices are awful ($14 for ground shipping without a tracking number).

Also, their return policy stinks. 15 days is not enough time to get a product and properly test it. It now appears that the card I purchased has a defective VPU and I have to go through XGI because it is outside of the 15 days.

"Very Dissatisfied. After purchasing a Philips monitor with a good price, it arrived in a totally trashed box with half the styrofoam supports in crumbs and damaged monitor (cosmetically). They only agreed to refund purchase price after I would return it (San Francisco to NY at my expense) but not replace it because the price had changed. "

"My company recently purchaces 3 Polycom Phones from this vendor. 1 had a broken function button and 2 of the 3 had different firmware versions installed on them. We contacted triocomputers "customer service" and were told to call Polycom. Polycom referred us back to trio for what we needed since they were a certified reseller" When tried to explain this to trio, I was rudely treated and even yelled at @ one point. A direct quote from them "We didn't ask you to buy these from us." We don't plan on doing it again. Ever. We plan on rolling these out on a large scale soon, so the loss will be theirs. Way to treat customers looking for help."

"I ordered the PNY 6800 GT from tricomputers at $346.82. When tricomputers responded on Monday they said the order had been cancelled and the the numbers I saw that were supposidly instock numbers, were really items in the return warehouse. Apparently all items that are returned are scanned back into the system and shown as available. I guess their inventory system is different. Anyways order was cancelled and the price was jacked up to much higher levels. Tricomputers said the price hike was so no more customers would purchase the item. If all tricomputers said was true then the bottom line would be their stock availability system is not very good at all."
