"I ordered an Eheim Professionel (sic) 2224 filter for $150 on April 1st. I was contacted by customer service April 2nd and informed that this model was discontinued, but had been mistakenly listed as available on their website. Customer service canceled the order.

I submitted a second order, this time for a $200 Eheim Professionel II 2026 filter. I was contacted by customer service on April 3rd and advised that the 2026 filter was no longer available as a stand-alone item, but was available as a $250 filter kit. Customer service offered to discount the filter kit to $240 in compensation for my inconvenience, but I elected to cancel the order.

Customer service was courteous and professional in all communications.

At best, Trilby Tropicals is negligent in the maintenance of their website and inventory control system. At worst, they are running a bait-and-switch scam. Caveat emptor."
