"I've been wanting to purchase a Nikon D3500 DSLR with two lenses for a while. But all the sites I shopped packaged the camera with the long zoom (70-300mm) without vibration reduction. Reviews recommended the VR lens. I searched at least half a dozen other sites, maybe as many as 10. Nobody offered a package with the VR 70-300 lens.

My search brought me to Tri-State. Many, many package options for so many items. I think they offered a package that included the VR 70-300 lens. But when I clicked on the item (I wanted to double-check that it was *for sure* the VR lens), I got an "item not found" message.

No matter. No chat option available, but most other pages had plenty of descriptive info. I found the lens. The price was great. I pieced together my own bare bones package.

I purchased, separately, the camera with the 18-55 VR lens, the 70-300 VR lens (at a substantial savings from other web stores), a memory card, and filter kits for both lenses. I originally had some other items selected for purchase (a bag, extra battery, etc.). But I didn't feel comfortable buying a bag. The product pages had incomplete or so-so descriptions of the bags and photos that didn't do the items justice. I eventually decided to go bare bones (basically camera and lenses) and once I get the equipment, I'll figure out the rest.

Checkout was a piece of cake. Very happy with the final cost. Looking forward to getting the camera. Shipping is supposed to be 3 to 7 days from today (8/24/22)."
