"I ordered a Pentax MX-1 camera online. I received an email that additional information was required and that I should call Bruce. I provided that, and then was told I would received a tracking number. Sent a follow-up email, but no tracking number. Called and was made promises someone would get back to me, but never happened. Felt very uncomfortable, so I called to cancel the transaction. They advised they did, and issued a return. However, I would be charged a 15% restocking fee. I again asked for the tracking number as proof that the camera had actually shipped. They refused, but assured me that it had shipped and the restocking fee applied. I called my bank to claim fraud, but was advised this would be lengthy process. I wish I had read the online reviews before placing what looked like a legitimate order. The staff is rude and confrontational. This is clearly a scam to get a 15% restocking fee for items they never ship. Warning: They don't issue written invoices, shipping information or any kind of promises. They claim that they record all conversations and presumably, they use those to defend their "order cancellation" policy. Bank advised that these kinds of scams are still plentiful on the internet. "

"Bad business here. Very misleading in their information and pressure you into buying a bunch of add on's. At the end of a long conversation, he wouldn't sell me the camera at the price he said unless I bought the add on warrantees and batteries. He sounded hostile and aggressive at end of conversation. "

"Worst ever. I was so stupid to purchase from this company and lost so much money and time. First they sent me a Cannon MK ii that was totally used with scratches and un original packaging. When I received it from California I called them immediately saying they sold me a used camera and advertised it as new.
I payed 65$ to return it back to them and they promised to refund me the money and send me a new camera this time. They sent me the new camera which was way over priced to begin with but didn't refund me the money they promised me. Now they are trying to get me to accept credit from them instead of the promised money.
STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Nothing but unprofessional scammers.

"Worst Business I have ever dealt with! I ordered a Cannon T5I package No 6. The guy called me to tell the lens was not compatible on the T5I. (Canon Zoom Telephoto EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM Auto-focus Lens) What a Complete Lie! It was listed as the T5I Package 6. https://www.thedigitalpros.com/item.htr?id=32329 So he gave me what ever he must have had in stock. (which was a cheaper lens). Bottom line my original order was $709. He basically charge me $999 for much less. These people are a total rip off."

"False advertisement practices on thedigitalpros.com website. Order placed, yet company did not honor product or price for which was advertised.

Order placed on 9/7/14 for Nikon D5100 Digital SLR camera package 1 that was to include the Nikon D5100 camera body, Nikon 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6g Af-S Nikkor Lens, Full size professional photo bag, digital slave flash, lens care and maintenance kit, universal digital camera screen protector, table top mini tripod, 2GB SD memory card, high speed secure digital card reader, full size tripod, cap keeper, memory card wallet, and wireless remote for digital SLR camera.
On 9/10 I checked order status online and it said "Call to Confirm". I called and the rep proceeded to tell me that what I ordered was an import from China and only comes in Chinese language. I replied that the description of the product did not state such to which he replied he doesn't have to say anything in the description. I told him ordering from a US company to be shipped to a US address I obviously want a camera that has english language so i can use it. He replied it would be $200 more for the US version. I again replied the description on what was advertised did not state any difference and that he should fulfill my order as it was advertised. The rep flat out said no and began yelling at me.
I proceeded to let him know that this was ordered using their 40% with free shipping Labor Day special and at no place in the product description did it say it was a Chinese language camera only. He continued to yell at me. I again stated for customer satisfaction he should honor what they advertise. His yelling continued. I have screenshots of my order and what I was to receive. He canceled my order and refused to fulfill what they were advertising for the price they advertised it at. The false advertisement, apparently not the first time after reading other complaints on BBB site, and the flat out misconduct as a company (yelling at the customer) should make it so this company is no longer a company in the US. Payment method was via VISA credit card for $334.00, though at this time has not been ran through and is not expected to be with canceled order.

Never EVER do business with them unless you love being scammed!

"I called to order what I had decided on, a Nikon camera with and two Nikon lenses. Zack took order than said they have a unadvertised special with professional digital lenses. I told him that it was 400=500 more and he told me all the benefits of going with the digital lenses instead of the lense I ordered off their page. I said I wanted Nikon lens and he continued to tell me this unadvertised special was the best. I recieved my order and SIGMA lenses were in it. It was MUCH more then alittle more expensive. The nikon camera instead of being $1699. was $2500.I phone Zack up he said he had to send me to Customer service where I got KEVIN. Kevin had to give me a special number to see that camers priced at $2500.00 it was no where on the pages with out typingin a special number into serch. He went on about how it was the usa version not the Japanese. Nikon USA sells the same exact thing for $1699. with sales tax. He said the lense were great and rather than give me a RMA # to use the lenses and see if I liked them and to call me back. We went back and forth me sayingI did not want or order Sigma lenses and he say try them. Just try them to see and then call me back. I tried the next day a Weds. just before 5pm and they were closed till the following Monday(Jewish hoilday) I call Kevin back and said I was not sleeping over this rip off. I then was told it be 15% restocking fee. I said I would pay $400. but no more because they had not sent me what I had ordered. Long story short .The entire box is still sitting unused. Niether lense cap has been taken off. I told him the original box was packed and waiting for a return Merchandise authorization but he cointined to say I had to pay the 15% restocking plus shipping. on what I DID Not order.I am trying to go though my credit card company. which is not going so well. Months later still upset with myself for spend monies and getting ripped off I still am depressed, and the box stll waiting to be returned ,totally unused. Three different times I called Kevin the third time he hung up on me then immedisatly called me back. I am close to 60 years old and have had many dealing with many companies and I have never encounter one like this. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

"Total scam site. They got me with bait and switch on Canon lens. Sold me A "professional" edition Sigma Lens for at the "deal" price of $475 marked down from $699. Unfortunately read these posts AFTER making the purchase. I looked up the UPC code from the Sigma box when it was delivered and it came up as a $159 consumer lens. I also called Sigma corporation and asked about their "professional" edition lenses. They told me there is no such thing and the "PE" on the bottom of the box the sales person said I should look for merely indicates that the BOX is made from recycled materials. I called today to get an RMA number and they actually wanted me to send them a copy of a certified check or money order for another $89.90 in order for them to give me the RMA (return authorization) When I asked why they would not just deduct the "re-stocking" fee from my refund he said that I had probably already complained to my bank and canceled my account. Which of course I had.By the way my total original purchase with them was $471.45. When I asked why the fee was more than 10% I was instructed to read the word before 10% on the invoice. Which states that returns "may" be subject to a "minimum" 10% restocking fee. THIS PLACE IS A TOTAL SCAM STAY AWAY, PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE AND SAVE YOURSELF THE AGGRAVATION I AM GOING THROUGH!!!!"

"Fortunately for me, I checked out Total Pro Digital on ResellerRatings.com BEFORE making my purchase; and given what I found, will not be dealing with them.
I also took the time to send them an e-mail scolding them for their deceptive practices, but guess what -
failed delivery.

"Horrible! Not only is this company a bait and switch, but scam artists. It took them two weeks to deliever my order. And before it was even delivered, they failed to give me a tracking number and refused to respond to my emails. The bright side is that I filed a claim against the company and got my money back. I had told them I was refunding the merchandise only to have them tell me I had to pay a $75 restock fee. Horrible service, and horrible people! Never ever give these people the time of day."

"I could not believe how this company is still around. I went to order a D3000 camera looked like a good price, so I placed the order. Then they emailed me saying they need more information. They only wanted you on the line to try to get you more information. They started telling the I should by the battery and charger. I said what normally that is part of the package. Then I should buy an American version so I can have English not Japanese another thing left off in the information. Then them trying to make me upgrade all the items. This company is close to false advertisment. Never buy from them. "

"Horrible! I was wanting a Canon T1i, placed an order and got that same email that all the reviewers talk about getting. I tried to call the #, not realized they were a sham and it was busy for 2 days straight, including during hours they were supposedly closed and open. I then did as the website said and tried emailing them. NO RESPONSE. I then found this site and wish I had seen it first. I emailed and told them to cancel the order, no response. I will not give them the security code off of my card! I tried calling again today and you can now get to their menu, but 30 min later, I have better things to do than sit on hold. I have sent 3 emails telling them to cancel and no response at all. "

"Everyone, please read the reviews on this site, they are true. I have no idea what status my order is in for no one will answer the phone except for the BAIT and SWITCH call i received on Friday this week. I did not take the bait and told them to leave my order as is. Asked about when the item would be shipped, answer is 24 hours.. 24 hours from WHEN? Im sure i will not get my item but will update this when i am told the item is not in stock and the order is cancelled. I SURE hope they do this and i can quit worring about this HORRIBLE experience. I assure you i am not a competitor of this company for if that were true, this company would not be in business for one good sale would ruin this company. I will update later this week but for those of you contemplating purchase from here. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Maybe a bit more expensive but at least you get your product with an bait and switch.

"I wish I had read the reviews on resellerratings before doing business with Total Pro Digital. I can ditto everything being said from other consumers dealing with this company. They are a classic "bait and switch" and believe me, they are pros at the game. They will lie about the product to get your money and it is impossible to return the item regardless of what they say. These guys are absolute scammers that have nearly perfected their game so it is very difficult to prove their dishonesty. No other way to say it.... they are crooks!!"

"I was totally scammed by this company. Don't buy from them. I was upsold with total lies. The products received did not match the representations of Dave, the salesman. Everything from the lenses to the memory cards were misrepresented. Once I received my order and realized I had been taken for a ride, I attempted multiple times to phone the company. I was put on hold for hours. When I finally spoke with a live person, I was told I had to talk to Dave, my sales rep, who just happened to never be there. I am still attempting to figure out a way to unwind this problem, but I probably learned a hard lesson with a good old beating."
