MY MOST TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

"I went to the Torrid in the Austin Texas at the Domain. I wasn't greeted when I walked in the store, even though the sales clerk ( none of them wore name tag badges) was standing near me. I've Only been in that particular store twice, but this time the rudeness was off the scale!!! I told the sales attendant to explain how to purchase items in their store using an online coupon. She raised her voice so that everyone in the store could her reply: "If you look around walls, you'll see what the prices are and what is in each section." Then she abruptly turned around and went on about her business. I WILL NEVER SHOP IN THAT STOREFRONT AGAIN!!! No wonder shoppers are shopping Online!!!"

Horrible customer service

"I made a purchase on line some of my items were cancelled so they charge me full price for the one thing that was left so I asked to cancel my order and refund my money back but I was told I couldn't cancel it till it got shipped and call back with tracking number that was a complete joke cause now am being told that I can't cancel or get a refund I think am mentally and financial done with torrid "

Thee worst!!!!

"Placed a ship to store order on 8/30. Never received it. Never arrived to the store. It is now 10/31 and I’ve called for the 5th time in regards to my refund! I keep getting told a supervisor will call me/email me.. NOTHING! This morning I’m told that since it’s such an old order now (their fault for taking so long) that it’s a long process to investigate and that someone WILL get back to me they just don’t know WHEN they will get back to me. Are you kidding?!"

Slowest shipping I've ever experienced!

"I'm done ordering from Torrid. I love Torrid, but unfortunately they have a lot of "online exclusives" and if you want them you have to order online. I've done this three times now, and it's truly the worst shipping imaginable. Every single time I've ordered from them, it's taken a full two weeks for my order to arrive. You can upgrade to 3 day shipping for almost $30! If I'm paying $30 for shipping, I expect it to be 2 day AT LEAST...Customer service is terrible too. They don't care. at all. They use UPS surepost, which makes things so much slower because it takes a full day for ups to transfer the package to usps...the surepost thing makes me mad too because they wouldn't let me ship to a P.O. Box, but they deliver it through the post office? Doesn't make sense! I'm so angry because I really wanted this particular item for an event, and it's now been 16 days and I'm still waiting for my delivery. "

No help what so ever

"I placed an order on Torrid.com. Called within the 15 minute window to edit the order. The first Torrid Rep told me it was to early, for her to make corrections to the order. She informed me to call back in 15 minutes, once the order could process. Once I called back, I was then told by another Representative, that now it was too late to edit/cancel my order. This is not the first time this has happened with Torrid.Com. Its starting to feel like they do this on purpose, just so it's a hassle and people miss the opportunity window to call. Definitely in need of better customer service agents that know what they are doing and that could actually help when customers are calling otherwise take the message off the website all together. "

"I was so excited about getting new clothes for my big trip coming up! First thing online they do not say they can’t send to P.O. boxes so a week later I called trying to find out what happened to my package they said it got returned and that I would get my money back in 2 weeks! I reordered my order over the phone and even requested to overnight it! I was willing to pay I just wanted it for my trip!! She said no she can get me 3 days free shipping! Cool.. right. So she said it’ll be there on the 23rd! The 23rd comes I call and they say it should be shipped by the end of the day.. I’m seriously so annoyed over this whole situation! It probably won’t be here by the time my trip comes and I’ve had to talk to 3 people already.. I was so so excited to buy some clothes for myself but this whole situation has been a stressful nightmare and I will not be ordering online again! I feel they tell you whatever you want just to get you off the phone "

Customer Service is a joke

"I bought a shirt there over the summer, drive over an hour to get there. Come home to find the security tag still attached. Called the store to see what they could do for me—they wanted me to drive there to exchange it. TWO HOURS of my precious time (I have 5 children) to exchange because of their mistake. I suggested they send me a return shipping tag via email and once they get their item back they could ship a shirt to replace mine for free. Nope. Never offered me money back either. Called customer service a minimum of 5x, never heard anything back. TORRID IS A DISGUSTING DISAPPOINTMENT and I will never shop there again. "

How can a company care so little?

"Does anyone else get really excited about something they see at Torrid, then when you finally have the ability to make that long awaited purchase you are left DISAPPOINTED?

Saw Pink & Navy Paisley Dot High Heel Sandals and fell in LOVE with them, I couldn't wait to own them. Finally, I made the purchase. Size 8.5, they arrive and well they fit like an 11. Thought maybe I got the wrong size, but no - correct size. Measured the shoe toe to heel, it measures 10.5". Tried to return them because they are too big and that isn't my fault....but nope, they are "final sale" they can't take them back. Beyond that, the sales person explained to me "the description states they fit true to size so they fit true to size"...umm sales lady really? I moved my feet around to try to get them to fit better, but I would break my neck if I attempted to wear these anywhere. SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT!! time to find a new shopping place that cares about its customers. What a waste of money.

What is the deal

"I wish I would have read these reviews first. I chose standard shipping because I can wait a week or a week and a half for my stuff but it’s been that long and my order is still processing!! Hasn’t even shipped yet! I ordered a pair of boots for fall but also as part of my Halloween costume. My hopes for having them before that have been shattered! Aliexpress gets items to you quicker! Come on Torrid!!! I will never order online again!! There stuff is great but a week later and my order is still processing! Bullish! "

Poor quality

"I have been purchasing clothing from this store for over a decade. They;ve recently come to Canada and every time I purchase a piece of clothing, the quality is so poor it falls apart and I am constantly sewing stuff back together. I recently bought a pair of jeans with my Haute Cash and I took tags off and went to work with them on and noticed a hole in the thigh. Absolutely ridiculous. "

Shipping Is Ridiculous

"I love torrid so much but I hate the shipping when I order online. I still have yet to receive the items I ordered online its been over three weeks, I ordered from forever 21 online after I ordered from torrid and I have already received all my items from Forever 21, they really need to get it together, I dont think I will be ordering online anytime soon once I receive my items."

Poor customer service and concern

"I recently called to report my card lost and have another one reissued. They told me my card would arrive in 7 to 10 business days but instead of my replacement card coming a letter came stating my concerns have been noted but they could not issue a replacement card because of my account status.

I called customer service and a young lady informed me that my card had been cancelled despite the fact that my account had a zero balance and my credit is good standing with the company I needed to reapply for a new credit card. She then transfers me to the bank and the guy is clueless as to why so I hang up with him and called customer service back where I explain to another young lady my issue and she tells me I don't have to reapply and she speaks to her manager and informs me to give it 24 hours and my card will be reissued and my account reopened this was on the 24th so I call back today and another lady tells me that I was told I have to reapply so there's nothing they could do so I ask for a manager who goes on to say well that's our policy and you have to reapply for a card that shouldn't have been cancelled in the first place.

I love Torrid the fit of the clothes and everything despite the cost I spend a lot of money with them. But them closing an account that shouldn't have been closed in the first place and telling me I should have called in the first 7 days and my account could've been reopened is stupid when they told me my replacement card would be here in that time so how would I have known someone stupidly closed my account instead reissuing my a replacement card instead of them caring about losing a good customer she could care so I will never spend another dime with this company and I will be looking for another plus size store to give my hard earned dollars to.

Customer service is a joke

"I placed and order that was never delivered. It was likely a mistake made by ups, but when I reached out to Torrid customer service they assured me the item could be resent, or refunded. I requested a refund, having ordered the item for an event that had come and gone through this time. The service rep assured me that the refund had been issued, and I would receive the credit back on my card within 3-5 business days. A week and a half went by with no refund so I reached out again to the same rep, who now claimed that it was still waiting on approval from their supervisor. I found this odd since I was already assured the refund had been issued and would be in my account within 5 business days. But this time around they assured me they had escalated the matter, and I would receive the refund shortly. They also offered to throw in $10 in rewards. Another 2 weeks went by and I heard nothing on the status of my refund, and I never received the $10 rewards in my account, despite being told it would be available immediately. I’ve reached out a couple more times and they’ve simply stopped responding.
This is the type of service I would expect from an alibaba or wish type website, but not from Torrid, an American owned company I’ve been shopping at for years. Needles to say I will never make another purchase through Torrid online or in person.
