"I have a set of Rudd Centrax snow chains ($350) for my Volvo and the yellow locking bracket came loose and I lost it in the snow. My fault I think. Anyway I looked around the web and thought I might have to buy a new set of chains (and these are awesome chains) but an email to Brian and he contacted Katie at Rudd and they sent a replacement the next day. "I just ordered a set fo RUD Grip 4×4 Chains (SKU:2532) from www.tirechaindealer.com. I have heard and read great reviews about these chains, and they have been endorsed by legendary Bill Burke as a great chain for off-roading enthusiasts like myself.
I have yet to receive them, but I will be sure to post a review once I get to test them out.
A few things that stuck out to me about these chains; the 2532 model fits many oversized off-road tires, so I know I can use them for years, even if I change my tire size. The diamond pattern will provide excellent lateral stability, which is HUGE for me since my Goodyear MT/R lack in the snow/ice if I start sliding sideways.
Install seems super easy, and straight-forward. The installation video that the owner, Brian, posted is very helpful as well.
Brian answered all of my questions quickly, and shipped the chains almost immediately. I hope to receive them before our next trip this weekend, since we just started getting snow in the higher elevations.

I have a new Tacoma, have always had chains for all my vehicles as I lived in heavy wet snow areas with ice and snow combined.
