"Okay... I made the mistake or ordering parts from this company and I hope that nobody out there makes the same mistake I did. The 2 parts I ordered were a black DVD drive and a motherboard. On the order page, it stated it was a black drive, what I got was a beige drive painted black. That wasn't too bad cause I havn't had any problems. The biggest problem was the motherboard. The motherboard had an onboard NIC that did not work. No matter what I did I could not get the thing to grab and IP address. I contacted the manufacturer and they said to get an RMA so I did and I send it back to thortek and they made me pay for shipping. They then "tested" the board and said it was fine and shipped it back. I tried again and still the NIC didn't work. I contacted them again and they had me try a few things and then the tech didn't know what to do and asked me what I would like to happen. I said it is defective, give me a new one. He said it wasn't defective. I then dealt with his supervisor and then had to deal with the manufacturer that informed me that is is a know issue. Thank you ThorTek for letting me know never to purchase a damned thing from you guys again. Be warned - they are arrogant, unfriendly, and unhelpful."

"Ordered from the UK especially as it is impossible to get these drives in the UK. I spoke to the guy who deals with Paypal, Steve and he was very friendly and helpful and I can't say anything bad about the company. My delivery came about 2 weeks later due to the delay at Customs. The drive arrived in perfect condition and worked an absolute treat. Cannot fault Thortek one bit. I will certainly not hesistate to order again!"

"No email confirmation that I know of was sent, however I recieved the Seagate Barracude drive within 3 days, extremely well packed, double boxed. Looks perfect, haven't tested it yet. Great price too."

"I ORDERED A BLACK ACER CD-RW A BLACK ACER 56X ROM A BLACK 3.5 FLOPPY AND A BLACK DOC 5 THEY DID NOT TELL ME THESE WERE PAINTED ITEMS AND I RECIEVED A BENQ CD-RW INSTEAD OF THE ACER THE PAINT ON THE BUTTONS IS ALREADY WEARING OFF BUT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE YOU WASTE MORE TIME ARGUING THEN IT IS WORTH IF YOU WANT A COMPANY THATS TRUTHFULL DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE I TO WILL FILE COMPLAINTS AGAINST THIS COMPANY AND I WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO EVERY FEW MONTHS UNTILL I GET SATISFACTION FROM THEM. "
