Stay away

"On December 7th, 2020 I Ordered grouping of 3 curved seats for the back row and two curved seats for front Row for my theater. Waited almost 6 months. Delivery Company finally notified Me On O5/25/2021 that they were ready to deliver. However they stated that one seat was missing and two were damaged. They asked if I still wanted to take delivery. Theater Seat store expected me accept the delivery of missing and damaged goods. They took a 50% deposit upon the original order and I did not know that they kept my credit card on file without my permission. Approximately thirty days before notification of delivery they billed my credit card the addition balance without any notification that they were doing so. They kept Trying forcing me To take delivery and Said they would make it right. I asked for written guarantees they would not provide anything in writing. I couldn’t believe they were trying to get me to accept 2 seats out of 5 with no written guarantee. What if they had to re order from China There was no guarantee that a new dye lot of leather would match existing seats. I finally agreed to have the seats delivered as they convinced me that they were not damaged and the order was complete. When I looked at the seats one was severely damaged and the other seat not as bad, but also as the delivery Company sated one seat was missing. My attorney advised not accept the delivery. And they refused to give me a refund. Out the money and no seats. There is a law that states if you take delivery you could be responsible for payment. Thank god I used my Amex card. Notified them and the took care of it and credited me back In full. Stay away from these guys. Great talkers and promises But no follow through or in my opinion they lack integrity. "

Excellent Chairs

"I bought the Diesel Style XS Series curved back set of 3 theater seats with real leather and power recline and they are really nice. I'm impressed with the quality of the chair, the packaging was comprehensive and protective, the recline feature is smooth and feels solid, the leather is really nice and feels quite high-end, and the lighting under the seats and around the drink holders are just cool. The ordering process with Tom was very easy, he knew what he was doing and the in/outs of various seat options and styles, and helped in any way I needed along the way. From there, we had a hick-up with the carrier and delivery, but Sarah with Customer Support really stepped in and helped move the carrier to go above and beyond and got my chairs delivered. We're very happy with our purchase and recommend the Theater Seat Store and their whole team."

Go elsewhere.

"Placed an order and never received the product. I spent extra money on white glove delivery and the delivery company never showed up on two different occasions after they scheduled a delivery date/time. TheaterSeatStore.com did nothing to try to solve the issue. I spent a week trying to track down the merchandise until finally decided to buy from someone else."

DO NOT BUY WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY

"The chairs are ok for the money but not great quality. The delivery experience was the worst I've ever had. Do not pay for white glove delivery it is a complete scam. They send a freight company who has never seen the chairs before to assemble them. The two delivery men had no clue how to even put the chairs together so I have 6 chairs now partially assembled. "

BAD BAD BAD Company

"Would NEVER purchase from Theater Seat Store again!! First of all, I placed my order my order in Nov. and didn't receive my sofa until March. I the purchased the Uniters phony warranty after customer rep told me it covered 'everything'. It does not cover everything and Theater Seat Store REFUSES to stand behind what was said. They will offer me a refund when the 5-year is up. Sad. "

Poor service, major delivery problems, etc, etc, etc

"I placed an order though one of their subsidiaries (theaterseatstore.com) to purchase 3 power reclining media room seats as well as 6 accessories (2x USB chargers, 2x wine glass holders, 2x tray tables). Originally placed order on 11/3/2015 in the "Quick Ship" section of their website. I received automated emails confirming my order on 11/3, and then received another email on 11/10 thanking me for my purchase, and telling me that I would receive my order within 10-14 business days from the date of my purchase. Looking at my calendar, this would have put us at a delivery date of 11/17 - 11/23. Beginning on 11/17, I began to call them daily to check on the status of my order. I received a multitude of different answers on the status of my order, ranging from it being shipped, to it still being built in Europe, to being on a boat in the Atlantic Ocean, and finally that it had landed on the East Coast, and was being shipped from Georgia to Dallas. During this time, I was given several tracking numbers, and all but one were incorrect (the correct one was finally given to me after spending a lot of time on the phone w/ their customer service reps). The main item (the media seating) finally arrived on 12/15. The furniture, which came in 3 pieces, did have a flaw with it. At the base of the chairs, on the front, there is an LED strip that lights up upon pushing a "Light" button on the cupholder; the chairs are meant to be set side by side with one another (they actually fit together), and 2 chairs had a blue LED light strip, and one had a purple LED strip. As such, these clearly don't match. The chairs are ordered as one, so there is no reason why they should not match. The other items (accessories) never did arrive, and still haven't arrived as of the day of this complaint (2/18). I have received no correspondence from them whatsoever, so after 3.5 months of waiting, I finally decided to check in again. I probably should have done this back in mid-late December, however, I called them every day for nearly 1 month, and the lies/ deceit got really old. It was just more stressful than what it was worth. Upon calling today, they asked me what was not delivered, as it showed in their system that everything had been delivered. I explained to them that the chairs finally came a month late, but none of the accessories ever showed up. I was told back in December that some of them were on backorder (I was also told this about my chairs several times), but that they would be delivered separately via UPS/ FEDEX. The chair are not delivered via UPS/ FEDEX, and it seemed reasonable that those accessories would show up rather quickly since they aren't really furniture that has to be assembled overseas, and they can be delivered by these national companies that will show up at your doorstep 6 days per week. Boy was I wrong about these assumptions. I've called to get status updates, and subsequently complain about how they handle their business in general/ orders/ shipments a number of times in November/ December, and now today. I've requested daily status updates until these accessories finally get delivered. I was told the tray tables/ USB chargers were back in stock, and should be shipped out today/ tomorrow, but I'm not holding my breath. I was also told today that the wine glass orders are once again on backorder, and will not be available to be shipped until late March. That's nearly 6 months turnaround. I find this unacceptable. They have been very inconsistent with their responses, and have yet to offer any sort of concessions. At this point, I really just want to make others aware of these delays/ service problems, as I had very different expectations when I clicked purchase."

"Not sure why I didn't heed all your warnings. I wanted this to be a great experience. After all, the company is still in business, so they must be doing some things right. I ordered the Octane Turbo xl700 becuase it was on the "quick ship" list that "delivers is 10-14 business days" and I have guests coming in town in 15 business days. We are now at business day 10 and the items have not even shipped yet due to a "warehouse move that is in progress" that is apparently affecting my order. Interesting that their sales people were unware of the "warehouse move" when I ordered as they assured me delivery would be made in 10-14 business days. Even received a voice mail to confirm the order and to return the call becuase "these orders ship quickly and we want to verify it is correct". And they already charged the full amount to my credit card.

On the first call to customer service on business day 7 to check on shipment, they stated it would for sure ship by Friday (business day 10). No mention of a "warehouse move". Called today on business day 10 and all of a sudden there is this ad-hoc, spontaneous "warehouse move" that manifested itself without warning.

I then stated I would have purchased something different if delivery wasn't going to make it by business day 14, and that it would have been more expensive. I asked if I could cancel this order and order what I really wanted. The anwer was "no, because we already paid the shipper, so there would be a shipping and restocking fee" even though the products have not yet been taken out of stock nor shipped.

Theather Seat Store - here's your chance to do the right thing and make good on your advertising. I will be more than happy to give you a great review if you can come through on this. Seems like that is something you could use right now.

"They Said They didn't have the seats in stock, so they would only charge 50% now to my credit card and when the seats ship in 4 weeks they would charge the balance. They charged the full amount right away and now I have to complain and file dispute with my Credit Card Company. They're Service rep Rock was a total jerk acting like they are doing me a favor by crediting half now when they were never supposed to charge my card anyway.. I should have never been charged the full amount. Beware of this Business. Horrible Customer service.

Now they send me an invoice that says my seats have a loveseat in the middle when they are not supposed to. They say it won't but the invoice says so and don't worry about it? This company is horrible They're manager Rock is saying this now and is being rude about it when all I want is a corrected Invoice. If I could buy this anywhere else I would. Beware!!!!! Cancelled Order

"Miserable customer service. Avoid at all costs!!!

Charged full amount at time of order, even though they were only supposed to take a 50% deposit. Attempted to contact numerous times to get corrected. No success. Finally called credit card for chargeback. When chairs arrived 13 weeks later, they sent the wrong seat. Was promised a quick fix. Didn't hear anything for over 2 weeks. Had to follow up again. Now reorder the seats with another 10 week wait. Was promised a call back to tell me shipping timeframe. Nothing. Asked to be called by a supervisor. Nothing. Emailed again. Nothing. Next call to credit card company again. I cannot believe how bad this experience has been...and still is.

"These people are borderline criminals. Placed the order online and decided I needed to change my order. Customer service seemed very helpful. My order was changed I was was to be refunded the difference via paypal. The seats were to be delivered the next week on Tuesday. I took off work and they never showed. Contacted customer service and requested a refund. They wanted me to pay $525 for shipping. Finally offered me another refund of $350 for my inconvenience and they promised they would be there the next morning. They never showed. I finally had them come out, against their will, that night and deliver. "white glove delivery" is a joke. The two guys were dropping chairs, they wouldn't take off their shoes and were just 100% unprofessional all around.
After 3 weeks of contacting "customer service" I had to open a dispute with Paypal. After 4 days they refunded me $395 of the $495 and the case was closed with me out another $100.
After 2 weeks of minimal use, the chairs are already falling apart. Posts on the trays are crooked and so are the post inserts. So the tray in 8 inches high and crooked on one side and 4 inches high and straight on the other side. All the backs are crooked and don't line up with eachother. I had also ordered some cupholders that never arrived. I'm just finally to the point where I just don't care because I have never been treated so horribly by a company.
