Terrible company - they do not honor what they advertise

"Submitted a "price match" request. Received an email with a ticket number and a URL to follow up on the request. Waited 5 business days. Now the ticket is no longer in the system (#50360). Called their toll free number and the person I spoke with said they do not do price matching yet they advertise price matching on their website. Won't be making any purchases from this company."

Terrible Customer Service and Pitifully Slow/Misleading Shipping

"Found items I needed quickly at the PSS. Website said all items "In Stock" and generally ships next business day. On Feb. 12, I placed an order for 4 items. On Feb 15, my account status showed items had been "packed for shipping." I have now received 6 emails days apart stating items had shipped with individual tracking numbers.

On Feb 17, I sent an email to PSS asking why my items still had not shipped and if they were not in stock to let me know so I could purchase elsewhere. Alexis responded with a tracking number indicating they would ship that day. She gave me no opportunity to cancel as I requested.

However, as of Feb 24, only 2 of the four items have arrived in separate packages from different locations. For 3 days now, the two items I have yet to get have been traveling about 300 miles from the next state over.

It is clear the PSS does not actually stock the items they say they do. They apparently are a middle man that have orders drop shipped. They have no control over shipping. They mislead customers with in stock and prompt shipping claims on their website, and could care less when customers get orders.

I will never do business with PSS again and highly recommend others avoid this company. Read these reviews. All have similar experiences. You've been fairly warned! I hate writing bad reviews!

Top notch service

"I read the reviews here and noted the negative ones but in my case, I have nothing but good things to say. An international order (to Canada) got hung up in Lexington for almost two weeks. When I called to see if there was anything they could do from their end, Alexis generated a service ticket, made calls to USPS on my behalf, kept me updated with regular emails and just informed me that the package has been returned to them and she'll be sending it out in the morning. (Oct. 4/19) This really wasn't their problem as they'd already done their part by shipping the order so I very much appreciated the effort that was put into getting this problem resolved."

Deliberately poor communication

"I had been scouring the internet for a certain hat and was stoked when I found it "in stock" on their site. I placed the order on 10/19 and got an invoice and shipping confirmation (in separate emails) on 10/22. The invoice showed that the hat along with a sticker and a patch had shipped. Two days later I received an email informing me the hat, that the invoice said was shipped, was no longer available from the manufacturer. So I guess In stock doesn't really mean that you actually have the item at your store?
I checked the site before writing this review, and the no longer available hat is still shown as in stock.
My other concern was that the cost of shipping now exceeded the cost of merchandise. The other two items were really only added to bump up the total to justify the cost of shipping. I don't see why I couldn't have been notified immediately that the hat wasn't available. I feel as if they did that so I couldn't cancel the order. They charged $5.99 to mail items that could have gone into a standard envelope for 50 cents.
I replied to the email informing me the hat was no longer available and expressed my issues with the order. There has been no reply so far.

Great family oreinted company

"Was looking for a leather fire helmet and found one here. It was the lowest price. Although I did have to wait for the helmet to come in, they kept me informed the entire time. I bought a PHenix TL2 leather fire helmet. It's the most comfortable helmet I have ever worn!

Worst customer support experience ever

"They have no idea what it means to support their customers. They do not communicate well. You have to threaten to get their attention for a meager laugh-in-your-face response.
When they find that you've posted a negative review about them, they'll embellish details of the transaction to make it look like it wasn't their fault, that it was out of their control - while insisting that they "did their best to work things out"

I would recommend before considering doing business with this company to check some of the customer comments on their own facebook page. Think about this: they can't be doing their best to help if they're keeping the money, not delivering orders and constantly claiming there's nothing they can do. A company that is this much at the mercy of its suppliers and delivery organizations shouldn't be in business. A company that has this many problems with its suppliers and shipping partners should probably consider getting into another type of business.
