"I ordered backup batteries for my security system from The Best Guard through the Amazon Marketplace. They never shipped the items, never responded to an e-mail requesting the order status, and each time I called, there was only voice mail available. I finally had to file a complaint with Amazon but had to wait several more days to have the order canceled. I would certainly not order from them again."

"Ordered a power adapter cable over a week ago. They charged over $12.00 to ship via UPS Ground, for something that probably cost them less than $6.00 to ship and took over a week to ship it. Item scheduled to arrive over 3 weeks from date of purchase on an item that was listed as in stock, available for immediate delivery. I would avoid this seller. Very poor service and overpriced shipping.

Update June 16'th, 2009: They shipped the wrong item to me then ignored all e-mails and would not return phone calls, even after two phone operators at their company promised me that someone would contact me within 24 hours. These people are deadbeats and liars. I had to file a dispute with my credit card to get my money back! Avoid at all costs!"

"Ordered two "MUXLAB INC 500302 VIDEOEASE CATV BALUN II SOUND TELECOMMUNICATIONS 5M-500302 UPC", the website stated it will ship in 2-3 business days. I immediately received the electronic invoice, then heard nothing further. Contacted the company 2 weeks later, was told "they’re still working on it, being that this item is “special order”, it’s not just sitting on a shelf, it may need some assembly." For a balun??? Now it's 3 weeks after that, and no further information. Sent them an email requesting the order be canceled. Terrible, terrible service.

UPDATE: Got a response back from my email requesting cancellation, I was informed the product was in and being prepared to be shipped and that if I still wanted to cancel, there would be a "restocking fee"! A restocking fee for a product that hasn't been shipped yet! Since I wanted the product, and I've waited so long for it, I told them to go ahead and ship it. Again, terrible service, will never buy from them again."

"I needed to purchase a single DSL line filter and found The Best Guard to have a very competitive price. I received an email confirmation for my order but unfortunately the following day I received a phone call letting me know that the manufacturer only sells the part I needed in blocks of 100. I returned the phone call and the woman was very pleasant to speak with. She went ahead and canceled the order for a single piece and let me know that my card hasn't been charged. It's good to know this company doesn't charge your card until the order ships. Very easy company to order from, thank you."

"I saw that they had APC's H10BLK at a fantastic price and also had it in stock, but was nervous about buying from a reseller that had no ratings yet -- so I called their number and got a very helpful rep, Stewart, that checked and confirmed stock (he even told me what warehouses and where) for me. He then took my order over the phone, told me the final price with shipping and when it should arrive by. No pushy sales talk trying to up-sell me other stuff. My new APC arrived on time and in perfect condition. Assuming they have what you're looking for, I can't recommend The Best Guard highly enough. They give online/mail ordering a good name!"
