AWFUL company to buy cloth diapers from on Amazon

"Please know that I am extremely disappointed in ‘ThanksMama’ and truly wish I had never registered for any of your products on my Amazon Baby Registry.

FuzziBunz One Size cloth diapers retail for $19.95 each, and ThanksMama is charging $25 on Amazon and then charges the customer for return shipping and is IMPOSSIBLE to deal with to actually receive a refund. I am now 35 weeks pregnant and dealing with disputing $50 worth of cloth diaper returns and emails with Thanks Mama, to which I say NO THANKS! I have worked in high-end Children’s Clothing stores in Chicago and in merchandise at Walt Disney World and I would NEVER treat a customer like you have treated me.

I simply want a FULL & COMPLETE REFUND in the amount of $50 credited to my Amazon account immediately! I have other items to purchase on my Amazon Baby Registry and do NOT appreciate your offer of $25 refund for $50 worth of merchandise.

Below is the outline of the amount of headache and hassle that it has been for me to simply return (2) TWO cloth diapers to your ThanksMama.

Saturday – July 22 / I requested to return my (2) TWO Fuzzi Bunz Cloth Diapers (1) ONE Fly Boy $25 + (1) ONE Turtle Time ($25) for a $50 credit to be posted to my Amazon account

Monday – July 24 / Finally received Authorization to Return my (2) TWO Fuzzi Bunz Cloth Diapers (1) ONE Fly Boy $25 + (1) ONE Turtle Time ($25) ….where I had to pay for return shipping.

Friday – July 28 / Received email informing me that I had the option to get accept a 50% restocking fee on my $50 return OR to take a store credit for the ThanksMama website for the full amount. NEITHER of which are acceptable options to me, as I expected a $50 credit posted to my Amazon account!

Saturday – July 29 / I am writing to you and including new packaging for a FuzziBunz One Size diaper in order to receive my $50 Amazon account credit in which you are holding hostage.

Please email me upon receipt of the enclosed FuzziBunz backer board for the Adjustable ONE SIZE Diaper and let me know that my $50 Amazon refund is posted to my Amazon account.

"GREAT experience with customer service!!!. I was shorted a couple of items in my order, and when I called I was kindly and respectfully treated along with sincere apologies. The order was rectified immediately. A couple of days later I recieved my items via expedited mail. I would highly recommend shopping with Thanks Mama. More companies should be more human and give such personal service. Appreciatively, Vera Sonnenberg"

"The customer service is deplorable.

I contacted Thanks Mama regarding cloth diapers that developed holes. The diapers were advertised as covered by a 1 year warranty on the product page.

The customer service representative initially replied that the diapers were still under warranty and asked me to identify which colors had developed holes so they could send replacements along with a postage paid label to return the defective diapers.

I responded that I would need to return them all. The customer service representative replied that they would not be able to honor the warranty since the diapers were purchased "so long ago." I replied reminding customer service of the current date which was within 1 year of the purchase date.

Customer service replied confirming the date but now claiming that I needed to send the diapers back to the manufacturer since more than 90 days had passed.

I reminded customer service of their initial response, that I only need to identify the diapers that had holes and replacements would be sent.

Throughout several responses with the customer service representative and someone that stated they were the owner of the company, Helena, this retailer refused to honor the initial return offer to replace the diapers.

My e-mails were eventually ignored.

All of this is in addition to me having prior difficulty with customer service to get a quantity discount advertised on the cloth diaper page to be reflected in the cart. The customer service representative insisted the discount did not exist even though it was plainly displyed on the product page.

In the end, I found the customer service agent to be clueless and uninformed and Helena (the "owner") to be rude and unconcerned with honoring customer service promise. Overall, I would not recommend this retailer because "baiting-and-switching" discounts and bad customer service are inexusable.
