Unless they can see it don’t waste your time and/or money

"You’re better off going to see someone in person if it’s a sinus/cold/flu/ pain/not visible infection thing. I didn’t have to pay anything and waste too much time for a probably overworked and tired ER doctor to tell me that the blood coming from my sinuses is something he gets too all the time when it gets cold but I have never gotten before and I also live in Florida. It does get cold here but it has been so much colder than it has been. "

Horrible

"I scheduled an appointment clearly outlining the requested topic of discussion. I was approved for an appointment. The physician was 21 minutes late to the appointment. I clarified the topic to discuss exactly as outlined on my written request for an appointment. She said she does not talk about that medication even though it is a common medication and NOT A controlled substance. I stated that was the stated purpose of the call, the call should not have been approved if the physician could not address the request. They said they will not refund the 40 dollar charge because the appointment was made. NO RESPONSIBILITY TAKING ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY OR PHYSICIAN"

Waste of time

"Although I think Teladoc has great potential for certain situations, I was very disappointed in my first consultation. I needed a prescription for purchasing a mask and headgear (basically a Velcro strap) for my CPAP machine. It seemed ridiculous to me to have to take 2-3 hours to go to a specialist and pay them probably $80 to $100 for an office visit in order to purchase a $35 mask on-line. (These are on-going maintenance supplies that wear out in a few months.) I checked the Telodoc site to be sure that they could issue prescriptions in my state. I entered the reason for my consultation on-line before the call and received a call from a doctor who said "we don't issue prescriptions for durable medical supplies". That was it. The whole conversation probably lasted about 15 seconds, if that. I was shocked to see that they went ahead and charged me $40 for something they don't do."
