I called technetmicro and was able to reach them all of the several times I called them, the office 2013 product they sold me was installed and activated properly, and I even called Microsoft just to make sure, and they confirmed the product was genuine. I suspect something went very wrong with some of the persons with the bad experiences, or they were just very unlucky.
