"I took advantage of a mortgage refinancing recently, and when my bank's paperwork was sent to the former lender, I asked my new bank to pay the existing balance on my AMEX Platinum account as I was leaving the city and needed it to be paid. My new bank made a mistake and sent the payment to AMEX to both my former lender and AMEX along with their usual "close and release collateral" letter.

"Ive dealt with this company several times. They offer excellent prices for their refurbished monitors. I build computers for family and friends, and just about every time.. "I have purchased three Pentium III/II machines from TeamExcess in the last 18 months, as well as a monitor and a number of smaller items. I have had only good experiences with them. Wen I received a desktop configuration instead of the tower I ordered, Amanda made good on the error right away. I received a better machine for no extra cost, and did not have to pay return shipping. I have not been disappointed with TeamExcess."

"Order Dell 2U Flat Panel 7/26. Receive in 4-5 days. Not bad.
Test it. No screen at all. Talk to their support people Barrett. Get RMA number. Ship out couple days ago. Will follow up.

Same thing. Beware of their return policy. 20% Restocking fee.

"This is the company to purchase from. I had a somewhat complex shipping order for them and they handled it wit ease. The person to talk to over at teamexcess is Andrea in their customer service department. As of this moment I haven't received the shipment but I have high expectations.

If you are looking around for a refurb monitor or are sick of poor customer service make a change and buy from teamexcess. They won't let you down.

Do watch out for their 20% restocking fee though.

"Had a problem with their merchant service and their inability to resolve a credit card address, even when presented EXACTLY as issuing co gave it to me. Would have cancelled the order if not for the customer service professionalism of Andrea. Actually tried to hire her away from Team Excess for my own staff."

I was nervous about buying "refurbished", especially a monitor. But they had a fantastic deal on a Sony 21 inch monitor.

I had a 17 inch Sony, and this was too good a deal to pass up, so I took a chance and ordered it.

Was one of the best purchases i ever made. The monitor arrived in beautiful condition. Did not look used at all. I'be been using it about a week, and so far it's been great. Was well worth the $189 I paid for it.

As for shipping, the packaging was done well. Was a bit of a challenge to get that "foam" packing out of the box, but at least it meant the monitor was secure.

It does take a while to get your order processed, mine was ordered Friday, and didn't ship till the following Wednesday. (It DOES say that on the purchase page when I bought it, that it takes 3-5 business days to process, so at least I knew ahead of time).

As for their service, I only communicated to them by e-mail, which they responded to the next day which was okay( I wrote it after they closed).

Overall , I was VERY satisfied , and would definately order from them again. I had never heard of them before until I saw mention of this offer on a forum, but I have their site "bookmarked" now.

"It saddens me GREATLY, that this company went *out of business*, in March 2003 and no longer exists.

I wrote the following review, because I was extremely impressed with both the company and the individuals that worked there. Just to note, that the 2 Micron Client computers, that I purchased, are STILL going strong and working excellently!!! It is a real shame, that a GOOD company *goes under* and others, that *leave MUCH to be desired* are still in existence.

I LOVE Team Excess!!! Andrea, in customer service, is wonderful!

It is absolutely fabulous, to have a company, that deals with *older* components, selling to the consumer, with extremely, reasonable pricing, PLUS...most items come with a 30 day money back guarantee and 1 year warranty!!! Just AWESOME!

I have been purchasing from Team Excess, for about 1 year, now and I have been extremely pleased. I did have to return a hard drive, but that was NOT a problem. I did everything through e-amil. I could have called, since they have an 800 number, but I was *testing* their process. I was NOT disappointed, not one bit. In fact, I was extremely impressed with the whole e-mail process, that occurred. Bottom line...Andrea truly READ my e-mail and followed through, honoring the company's policy of the 1 year warranty and sent out another hard drive, of equal quality and value.

I have also been involved, in the purchasing of 2 MicroClient Pro towers. One was for a friend, who is so PLEASED and the second, I purchased for my daughter, as a birthday present. Both units worked beautifully, on arrival and the packaging for shipment, was totally unbelievable. China, could not have been packaged any better!!!

I HIGHLY recommend this company, to ALL of my computer *geek* friends and to ALL computer *geeks*, that are interested in obtaining, older components. I enjoy bringing older computers, back to life and Team Excess really helps me, achieve my goals.

"Have bought many items from Team Excess on will call in the past year. Customer service has always been super... the two NEC multisync E700 monitors I bought for $79 ( reburbished with one year warrantee)a piece are both working fine a year later..and look SUPER !
I was shocked the other day to see on dejanews that they sold for around $1200 new...
Had a problem with one pair of the 3 sets of dell speakers...it was DOA... this was handled quickly with courtesy by their customer service department....
My only regret with Team Excess is that they don't always carry what I am in need of.
