"After stumbling upon this website, and reading the most recent post, I have to admit I am pretty lucky in dealing with this company. I ordered a 42" plasma back in Feb 2007. I am extremely lucky that after many phone calls and emails to this company, I finally received the TV, but I haven't received the 5 year repair master warranty I purchased through them and I can't get in touch with them at all. I will take the advice to contact the California attorney general. THE WEBSITE IS STILL UP, BUT YOU CAN'T EVEN ANY THING...THANK GOODNESS.

UPDATE...After submitting this review, I received a email reply back from the company claiming they were victims of fraud themselves and has caused them to shut their doors. When I asked about my $249.95 refund, they claim because of all their problems, they lost their relationship with VISA and I would need to contact my Credit Union to file a request through them. Low and be hold, VISA only allows a 60 day window from purchase to file a claim. Now I'm stuck out of my $249.95 and without a warranty. Hopeful, I will never need it, but it would have been nice to get my money back.

"Thank God they never charged me! I ordered a 50'Samsung TV received a confirmation# and waited for my card to be charged to get shipping information. After a week the card was never charged so I attempted numerous times to call this company and always got a message that either there were too many calls at the time, and or the phone # was disconnected.
I had to report my card as stolen (per the bank) so that if they tried to charge at a later time they would not be able to.
Very unhappy with the service, however very glad this company was not reliable enough to charge my card promptly.

"I see these criminals are still taking orders over the internet. They have pocketed almost $800.00 of my money and still no merchandise. They never intended to fill my order. They told me to file a claim with my credit card company. the credit card company said "Sorry Charlie" your order is over 60 days old - your not covered by this fraud. Don't even be tempted to order from these thieves!!!"

"The company must be out of business. They should remove their web sites. There is no response to emails, phone calls to the warehouse or their Santa Monica retail store. Do not give your credit information to the web site. Everything you read regarding customer service and fraud about this company is true. Beware! "

"This company is a scam. I had the same experience as everyone else. They took my order, charged my card, couldn't ever ship the item. They said they had cancelled the order, but never refunded my money. After a month waiting for a refund I contacted my credit card company to dispute. "

"If you have been scammed by TV Authority, please contact the California Attorney General and file a complaint.....just google the above address and go to the complaint section and fill it in and hit send.

I did and am trying to get everyone to do likewise so we can try to find a way to get our money back, put this company out of business and have the owners jailed.

I also sent a long email to the Los Angeles Times newspaper to notify them of the scam in Santa Monica, so they could help put TV Authority out of business.

Hundreds of us have been duped by this company and we should not let it go.....please follow up with a complaint to the Attorney General of Ca.

"I ordered a plasma tv on March 7 they charged my CC immediately. It's 2 months later and I still do not have the tv. Their phone lines never answer, they ignore the emails...I've been SCAMMED. Stay away from these scam artists!"

"They are thieves. they promptly took my money when I placed the order. 6 weeks later there has still been no word from them. I've emailed asking for my tv or a cancellation to which I haven't received a response. Their phone lines are never open. Therefore my money is gone and I can't contact them. I am disputing the charge with my CC company, but it shouldn't come to this."

"I purchased a 50" Plasma on 2/16/07 waited a week only to find out they lost my order. At that time I was informed that my TV would ship in two weeks. After the two weeks I received a delivery window between 3/22 and 3/24, now going on 5 weeks I checked on 3/22 only to find out it would be another two weeks, I checked again, ended up canceling the order and had to have my charges reversed by the CC company since I could not get a credit issued by TV Authority. Be aware, the customer service people were nice but not reliable."

"I ordered a samsung plasma s4253 on feb. 16th, 2007. they charged my card w/o shipping ($1095.00) which is against thier own policy. Come late march I had yet to recieve my order. they ignored my emails, gave me the runaround with vague answers, only to fess up and say they don't have it. Nicole offered me a different tv, and said it would be a couple of weeks, so I went to the website to look at it, and it said it wouldn't be availible till august 2007! Am I an idiot? No. I requested a refund and was told it would be 5-7 business days, it has now been almost 20 and I haven't seen my money. Now I mysteriously don't have an account with them. Has anyone else noticed that thier address on thier web site is different from the one on the BBB? I filed a complait with the LABBB, the City of Santa Monica for illegal business practices, and now visa to reverse the charge. If you ordered from them I suggest you do the same. Let's shut these crooks down!!!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!! THEY ARE FRAUDS AND LIARS THAT ARE RUNNING SOME KIND OF SCAM!!!!!!"

"This was an worst experience that I will never forget. In spite of all the bad writings that I have read I thought i would give them a try. What a mistake. Now I am out of alot of money and no tv. What a scam. They cancelled my order and have my money to. I cna;t believe that a company can get away with this. they stated that they switched credit dard company and that it is my problem to get my money back. I feel that there business is a joke and I hope that I can at least get my money back for they made it past 45 days. What to do. Don't do business with this company if you value your money. "

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GIVE MONEY AWAY!!!!THIS IS YOUR WARNING.I purchased a 50" plasma on 3-30 cancelled order on the 7th of april due to them telling me it would be another 2-3 weeks to ship my tv.I dont think so.I have been trying unsuccessfully to get in touch with them so I can get my money back.All I want is my money back.I will never let anybody I like do business with an outfit like these guys.They are theives.I have called my bank and filed a dispute to start an investigation to get my money back.I learned the HARD way.When they finally do close up,watch out they dont open up under another name hopefully by remembering their address."

"Placed an order for a 42" Plasma TV on Feb 19, 2007 with TV Authority. My credit card was charged in full Feb 20th. The status of the order never changed from Shipping Pending. I called the 800 number at least 10 times and either got a message their phones were down or just a busy signal. Then I faxed a message to their supplied fax number (no response). I used their online chat several times but nobody ever responded. Tried their sales chat and someone picked-up within minutes. I asked them to transfer to customer support and again nobody ever responded. I tried emailing support numerous times but again no response. I was unable to speak to anyone other than sales. It is now April 6th and my credit card company has reversed the charge canceling the order. There has still been no contact from customer support. This is by far the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Do not waste your time or money with these clowns. "
