"This company fails in every aspect of distribution. They do not stock. Price themselves higher than market value. Do not communicate with their client base directly. Push you into teams who no one takes ownership of any issues or management.
I have been in the the commercial & industrial engineering world for over 3 decades. 13 of that was a part owner of a large distributor. If my business ever conducted themselves like this I would have buried my head in the sand at extreme embarrassment. On two of my orders they have been punted out to a new delivery date over 30 times! One one request, to one email, I received 10+ emails with zero consistent messages and everyone deflecting the problem to another source. On another request, repeated numerous times, there was no response. They have no clue as to how to manage communication, paperwork, orders, people, clients, billing & payments, or a sense of market. "
"I switched my business email to a .com account in October, and it wouldn't let me change it in my account information on their site. Over the phone they didn't want to try anything until my prior domain actually expired which was in December. I called them then, and they asked me to email the information so that they would have it in writing. Immediate reply to say that a WO has been put in, that was on December 29th, 2020. Well I have been waiting since then, it's now March 16th, 2021. I'm getting on their case about it but they keep trying to send the emails with the forms that they apparently need to my OLD email account which no longer works. I would just give up and go with a different distributor if they didn't have my CC on file."
"Tech data is a terrible company. When hardware is damaged you can't return because you're supposed to check prior to the delivery leaves, but letting them wait is not possible. And if the package is openend, which is required for checking, then you can't return because the original seal is broken... They never take responsibility."
"I have placed almost 30 orders with them over the past 2 years. NOT ONE, and I am not exaggerating even a little, NOT ONE has made it to me without an ordeal.
They've used the wrong CC's then not mentioned it on and overnight order until the next day when I am at job sites waiting for the product
They have shipped UPS ground when my order CLEARLY stated Next Day AM FedEx
They have DOUBLE CHARGED me for orders and once it was a 5k order that they processed 2 times and I couldn't get the money back until my attorney had to get involved
I am on the phone now, at 5:47PM and had a nightmare issue LAST week with another order so the manager said to place it with her to avoid this issue. I placed this order at 9AM this morning, I am on the phone at 5:48PM and the order STILL IS NOT PLACED!!!!
If you need a license renewal FORGET IT! It will take weeks and thats if you are lucky and they actually order the right thing.
They dont know their own products so make sure you do your own research as they will just order whatever part number.
The amount of time I spend on the phone in hysterics because they f*** up EVERY ORDER is UNBELIEVABLE!
They had no dedicated sales people and their "team" is a generic mailbox that if you are lucky will get back to any messages you send NO LESS than 6-24 hours later.
I promise you will regret using this company, STAY AWAY"

item was showing in stock even after me placing the order but they give that stock to big companies to keep those happy, will totally ignore you.
they have done that to me 4 times, one of the worst company you will ever deal with. CS is rude and does not help at all.
Prices are sky high compare to other disti's

"I jumped through the hoops to resell Malwarebytes software and TD is one of their distributors. I placed my first order. This should be an immediate fulfillment with just a license key sent to me. I didn't get anything, so I tried contacting TD. Good luck. There are no email addresses that I could find. I went through their ambiguous automated phone system and got disconnected. Twice.
Then, with no explanation or notification, I noticed my order was canceled. My next fight will be getting refunded on my credit card. I'll go with a different vendor now.

I got a hold of Malwarebytes and they got a hold of TD and made it right. I've been pretty frustrated for a day over this, but ultimately it looks like it's going to turn out OK."

"Tech Data is HORRIBLE. I attempted to start using them a couple months ago and fed them around a hundred thousand dollars worth of orders. 99.9% of my orders went unfilled and my Amazon Platinum Merchant account had been suspended multiple times and had numerous claims and chargebacks caused by Techdata not filling orders they were paid for. They have no problem either locking funds in pending or posting charges to my credit card but it seems they don't want to ever actually SEND the products.
This company has cost my company its reputation and tens of thousands of dollars in returns and much more in lost sales from merchant accounts being suspended for non order fulfillment.

"Prices are great. I put in a request to purchase some projector equipment from a source I found online. Our buyer placed the order with Tech Data and got a much better deal. This is a big company with several warehouses across the country. It took a little longer to get the equipment but it was worth it. I had no issues with them."

They sales team are good but they "New Accounts" Dept is a nightmare specially if you have to deal with this nasty women "LIN MORALES" if you just starting or you dont process a least 10 orders daily stay away you have been warned. If you are midium or larger reseller then you dont need them either. I'M TELLING YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM TECHDATA.COM, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED"
