"I purchased two vouchers from dailycandy.com. One was a trivia night deal at a bar in NYC. The other was $20 for $40 worth of books from Simon and Schuster. The trivia night voucher reflected an expiration date of December 2012. However, when I called to RSVP to the trivia night, I was informed that it actually expired in August 2012 and that Daily Candy made an error. The other voucher indicated that a portion of the voucher price would be automatically refunded if the voucher was not used before the expiration date. I didn't get around to using it, but figured I'd at least get back a portion of what I paid. I emailed Daily Cand 3 times to request a refund for both vouchers and the company did not respond to any of my emails. So, today I am trying to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Of course the merchant (Daily Candy) is not being cooperative. I want everyone to know that they should stay away from this site, because there is no way to receive a response once you realize that they've scammed you. Daily Candy now has my $40 and I didn't get either deal that I paid for. This company is terrible."

"I have ordered with swirl a few times, and never had an issue with my items, which may be why I do not have any negative comments.

The selection on the site is of course varied because it is a sample sale site. All of the items I have received from swirl I have been happy with and felt they were fairly represented on the site.

My only complaint is shipping speed. It seems like it takes forever to actually ship out my items once I ordered them. I think this may be because it is a sample sale site. I still think it is crappy, but it won't detour me from shopping because of the good prices.

"Misrepresentation of a pair of jeans on the site. I bought a pair of Seven of Mankind Josefina jeans (final sale) after examining the Swirl online photos carefully, zooming etc. When it arrived it had garish sequins and studs on along the cuffs of the jeans and we're talking 5 inches of studs/sequins. It was clearly not shown on the online photos and I would have never bought the jeans if they were. Do a google search of "Seven of Mankind josefina jeans Swirl Daily Candy" and you'd see the jeans pictured on their stock photos.

It has NO STUDS OR SEQUINS!!! I feel cheated and will never purchase from them again.

"I am convinced that Swirl.com is engaged in a deceptive practice of withholding due credit back to original method of purchase (e.g., credit card) on returns until its so-called "processing time window" closes to issue only store credit.

Swirl sold me a defective product which I returned for credit. Instead of issuing credit, Swirl shipped the product back to me! They said the right things on the phone but would not follow through with promises. After over a month of my repeated attempts to get an RMA number and shipping return label, I was finally provided with both and shipped the damaged product back to Swirl. Alas, it didn't process my return for credit for close to 2 months! When I called to inquire, I was told that it was now outside Swirl's processing time window and that I could only be given store credit.

Swirl sold me a defective product, provided a lousy customer service, renegaded its responsibility of promptly issuing credit, and acknowledged (by Teresa, the customer service manager) that I was being punished for its incompetence.

"I returned a pair of jeans that didn't fit for a store credit, then waited (more than a month) looking for something else to buy. When I realized Swirl doesn't sell the kinds of things I like to buy, I asked them to turn my store credit into a return (and take out the return shipping fees) and they said NO and basically told me to spend the 100 bucks on anything -- even if I dont' like it. Nice, Swirl. Will never shop with you again. Will never recommend."

"Swirl is an awesome variant of sample sales. I ordered this ultra-soft Heidi Weisel cashmere scarf for my mom and it came on time and in excellent condition. My mom loves her new scarf and I love the savings! Imagine: a cashmere scarf for only 40 bucks! I only ordered from them once, but I've seen so many cute items offered and almost couldn't resist pressing the 'buy' button. The shipping was swift. Will buy from Swirl in the future!"

"First, you must know that the way they respond to complaints is store credit. I had so many complaints pile up I had over $100 over store credit within 3 shopping experiences. They do ship fast and are nice, however, that being said, things disappear from your cart within seconds, not the 15 minutes you're allowed, they can't help you with that, and they continuously kept sending me back a refundable product I wasn't happy with until I just gave up and donated it to Goodwill. It took me about 6 months to use up that $100 credit due to things I liked disappearing, being out of stock after ordering, or while ordering, and I can't say I got anything I was happy with that I didn't either give away immediately or sell on ebay. I also found that their "sale items" were often cheaper elsewhere with a simple google search, and that their shipping was outrageous. After FINALLY using up the store credit, I would never shop here again."

"I ordered two items from them and received a package the following week, but only one out of two items arrived.

The sales representative informed me that 'unfortunately this happens from time to time'. She credited my account with the difference and a measly ten dollar store credit for appeasement.

Absolutely frustrating. You wait online for a sale, refresh a thousand times to see if a certain product becomes available, and then you don't even receive it after you rightfully choose and pay for it.

Dislike. Distrust.

"I placed an order with this company on 12/13 and a box was delivered to me on 12/20. I called their customer service immediately upon receipt of the box to let them know that only 1 of the 2 items ordered was in the box. The customer service rep was nice but couldn't help me, even after placing me on hold for several minutes. I informed her that the missing item was a Christmas gift and asked that someone call me before Christmas with an update. Noone called. On 12/30 I called back and they still had no answers. I told the customer service rep this time that I needed an answer by the next day or a refund. Again noone called. I finally called a third time on 1/9 to complain about the terrible service and again request a refund. This time the customer service rep told me the company had issued a refund for the price of the missing item that morning and it just hadnt shown up on my credit card yet. She had no interest in my complaint and told me the issue had been handled.

In short, this company failed to deliver what I had purchased, took 3 weeks to refund my money, and made me work for it at that. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.
