REALLY... surveymonkey.com!!???

"My group, representing a union group in San Diego, enrolled on and used www.surveymonkey.com to order our group priorities previous to bargaining and to have input from our members. The plan I enrolled our group in was a 2 month enrollment, beginning Jan 2nd. Enrollment was for a two month plan.
We completed 3 short surveys. Longest had 9 items, shortest only 2. Members had availability for about 16 days, then voting was closed.
the survey software and use were very accessible and interesting to use; so it can be a helpful site for organizations.
On March 2nd I noticed I had been billed—automatically. I went onto the website and entered my account; I made a change to the auto renewal. Then remembered I had not downloaded final survey results from our efforts.
I did this and used the site approximately for 15 minutes in one sitting, entering into no other site pages or services . (so no-- I did NOT write any part of a new survey!!)
Considering our period of use and our actual on-line interaction with the site, I know that actual on site time was way under 25 hours/ two months. And I know that our member surveys were accessible to members only for about 12 days.
SO why does surveymonkey want to recharge me for two full months as per the renewal terms. Is this fair or honest? Is this ethical? Less than 1/1000% of the total of 86,400 min for a two month rental term.
