"This company doesn't appear to be a genuine business. They have well and truly ripped me off by sending me the wrong item then refusing to refund me the circa £80 I paid them. On further investigation their phone number is NEVER answered, they have set up bogus affiliations with companies such as Herschel who have no formal agreement for Surfdome to do so. They are very slow to respond to emails. I have asked to speak to a member of the management team to no avail. Avoid shopping on surfdome at all cost, there are plenty other reputable businesses selling the same gear at the same prices."

I called 2 weeks later and they tell me they never shipped my order because they said my address was "suspicious". They never contacted me about it. "It was a good experience buying from Surfdome (U.S. website). Purchased a Osprey Farpoint 40 and Osprey shave kit/bag, both arrived as advertised and new. These are genuine, not counterfeit as I was nervous about. Ordered on the 15th, I was emailed on 17th saying it shipped, arrived on 27th. Delivery came by standard US mail, parcel service not first class, this is probably why it took 10 days from shipping. I had expected the two week delivery as (1) their website states 4-10 business days, and (2) I saw another review where the person said they got their order in 10 days. No tracking # provided, otherwise would have given them 5 stars instead of 4. Surfdome's prices were great, below standard U.S. prices I've seen for same stuff. Wonder if that's because their parent company is UK (maybe?) So, if you can wait a bit to get your order, you'll save some $ (my bag is normally $160 at REI, Campsaver, Moose Jaw. Surfdome was $89 on sale, $110 normally). Cannot speak to their customer service as I did not need to contact them for any reason. MC-Iowa"
"I ordered 2 Osprey Farpoint 40 backpacks at 2:00 am (Mountain Time) on a Monday morning from Utah (western US). The bags appeared on my doorstep on Wednesday morning at 11:47 am. I don't even know how it's possible for them to ship so quickly to the US from England. Even Amazon couldn't get them here that fast. Delivered to my door they were 54% of what I would have had to pay at my local retailer (who would have had to order them and would have been too late for my trip) and 63% of what it would have cost me to buy through Amazon. This is with extremely ultrafast shipping with tracking.
Also, some retailers are shipping old versions of these packs. These seem to be the latest version.
Paypal worked without a hitch. They have reasonable customer service hours for the US (6am- 1pm EST). I called them at about 11am the Monday morning. They picked up right away. They weren't able to give me a tracking number at that point. But they told me when it would be available, and they were right.
I give this particular transaction a 5/5 in every way."

I was a bit afraid reading mixed reviews, however my order came within 4 days (from UK to Arizona) and everything looks great! "I’m from the US, and I ordered a “little kid” size 3 Teva sandal. I got an infant size 4 in the mail, and when I tried to return them, they want $17 dollars for a minimal return cost. The total cost of the sandal was $21. When I explained the issue, they asked me to send them a picture of the size, and when I did, they said that is was the “correct,” size and that they didn’t offer exchanges. I would have to buy another size at full price and get $4 dollars back from my “refund/return.” As a side note, US “kids” Tevas run from $20-25, and they wanted $21 for an infant size? Absolute rip off. UK sizing and US sizing are not that different, so they were just trying to cover their **** for sending me the wrong size."
"Ordered the (Osprey Farpoint 55 Travel Backpack). I waited about a week before getting an email (from Ryan) saying it was cancelled because it does not meet the "highest standards". I replied asking if they could discount the item or substitute for the red version and responded to with the same thing. If you call the customer service number you will wait on hold for about 10 minutes before it asks you to leave a message. Don't waist your time with this company. "

"I was a bit hesitant to order from a site that seems to have very few reviews and many complaints about poor communication and out of stock items.
I ordered an Ospray Farpoint 40 from Surfdome because it was $40 less than the best price I could find (Amazon, etc). Surfdome is in England and I'm in the western USA. Shipping was free so it was a fantastic deal. I ordered it on Nov. 8. It shipped the following day, and it arrived Nov. 15th. I received 5 or 6 status emails that tracked my package to my house. Very nice! My last worry was the quality of the backpack, would it be used? I'm happy to say it was a new, unopened pack with all the tags. Perfect.
