Best Buy no longer offers legitimate customer support and will not fully refund

"I rarely write reviews but after 4 months of attempting to get a refund I can testify that Best Buy is not the brick and mortar store that you might have experienced from decades ago. In fact they have become a scam retailer. They outsource their customer support to offshore agents who simply read from a script. Even my credit card company agent confirmed that Best Buy is one of their top complaints. After 46 calls since December I am unable to recover a full refund, even after multiple customer service agents apologized and assured me that my refund was processed. My only option now is to hire an attorney and go through a time consuming and expensive litigation process. BUYER BEWARE!"

Best Buy store or website will NEVER have my business again!

"According to the store (& c/s reps online) my order was placed on 1/24 but store didn't acknowledge it was not ready to pick up until 2/2. Having never opened it realizing it wasn't needed, I looked into how to return this order & online instructions stated "Return to store is simple, bring back to store by 2/24".

SIDE NOTE For full disclosure: My saved email shows original date ordered was in fact 1/25. Still no one had this correctly & when it comes to following policy they should absolutely at VERY least have the first part right!

Making sure I was in full compliance with online instructions, I brought it back today 2/20. They told me it needed to be returned 14 days after purchased (1/24), were not going to give me any kind of refund but said they'd do me a favor because I was a loyal member therefore issued a gift card.

Coming back home, speaking to c/s online they said I did only have 14 days to return however didn't know why the store told me returned within 14 days from purchase date. That 20 minute or so conversation with c/s couldn't help seeing purchase was returned & refunded said I should go back to store. Hoped since it was paid with my Best Buy credit card maybe they could assist better but that rep heard the short story & not telling me mid sentence transferred back to the online c/s.

3rd person on the phone told me there were NO notes from first rep & would need to know the issue before transferring to supervisor. My total call time was around an hour & that's not including how long I was at the store trying to settle this & waiting for supervisor there because everyone was SO busy. (didn't look busy & parking was quite empty)

I appreciated the gentleman behind the counter trying to help & even grabbing me a chair. I don't usually leave my bed for any length of time & the drive alone was enough but the return should have been "simple" according to specific online instructions. Their computer system kept making it out to look like I've had this item since 1/24, which was obviously NOT the case. The manager knew that it was over the "14 day return" policy & kept checking when it was purchased as if to say being closer to the 14 days may have a more flexible outcome. They were talking about this strict policy & they took into consideration my being a loyal card holding customer. After dealing with people at the store & customer service online reps as well as checking again when it was purchased that date shouldn't have been in question at all because POLICY on returns start when they are PICKED UP! I wouldn't be so upset if instructions to returning were proper, I knew it needed to be returned by 2/24! I was honestly trying to do everything right, picked it up at the store & wanted to return it back to the store, had NO idea Best Buy treated customers this way. A return is a return, if they did a favor by accepting the item back it's clear money was the ONLY interest in mind. They wouldn't have totally lost me as a customer, I wouldn't be warning so many others about these tactics if they did right by me.

I will NEVER use Best Buy again & now understand why other family members & friends have been refusing to give them business.

"I order on 07-25. Waiting almost 50days for delivery date 09-13 form the Best Buy nothing on the day. I called the customer service , they told me need waiting one more month for the order. That’s it, couldn’t do anything for me. "

Never had a bad experience

"I have bought all my electronics from Best Buy over the years. From Laptops, PCs, Chromebooks, Ipods, Air Pods, Cameras televisions and gaming systems I have never had a bad experience. I have been hesitant when items have not been in stock and they have shipped to my home, worried about the condition they may be in when they arrive. Everything is double packaged and very well protected. I usually buy the service/protection plan, but have not had to use one yet. I love shopping from Best Buy because they do not work on commission and I always get honest opinions on what I want to buy. I would very highly recommend this store for their products and customer service!"

"I have ordered three items from this company. The first two items were Android Tablets. Tablets arrived in great shape and were as represented. Overall communication with company good, however they have a habit of saying they shipped the item when they really have not...this happened twice. Recommend you ship DHL with tracking.

The third item I purchased was a OEM PS3 controller. Shipped ok however, it was not the item pictured on the website and was certainly not OEM...it was third party.

I recommend this store but with hesitation, you better be on your game if you order!
