"3 days ago I saw a group of ads on deal sites for splendidlife.com advertising a real good buy on a kitchenaid blender and a kitchenaid stand mixer. Knowing these were good deals I quickly ordered both items from their site. Both items were in stock, I selected my colors and placed the orders, and I got order aknowledgements for the orders.
Today - 3 days after the order, I was phoned by splendidlife.com by "Tasha" who informed me my order was cancelled and would not be filled, as the items were not in stock, apparently were not in stock when they were first advertised per Tasha, and would not be restocked. Upset, I asked for a supervisor and was connected to "Melanie" who explained rather rudely that the items were not in stock, never were in stock, that they would not be in stock, and that splendidlife had cancelled over 300 orders for these items that were placed that morning. She tried to claim these were discontinued items from the manufacturer, which I informed her the exact items were not discontinued by kitchenaid - that I had shopped around and the same models were available from kitchenaid and many other retailiers including Sears,Target, amazon.com, Kohls just to name a few. I actually could have gotten a similar deal at Kohls yesterday but passed it up since I had already placed the orders with splendidlife.com. Now a week before Christmas I am not going to get 2 of my Christmas gifts before Christmas as I am temporarily disabled and unable to go shop in traditional stores, and its too late to order from another site and receive before Christmas. The items were removed from their site later that day, but I saved copies of the advertisements. Splendidlife made no apologies and refused to substitute another item in place of these items at an equal savings, and simply stated my orders were cancelled (for myself and 300 other unlucky buyers too).
In my opinion this type of advertising is fraud - these people should not be allowed to advertise bogus deals on these deal sites!!!! I know you are not responsible for the fraudulent sales advertised on your site - but thought you might like to be aware of the fraudulent ones. thank you - and let the buyer beware!!!!!
Update: Of course after all of this they still charged my credit card for the full price of the belnder and mixer orders - even though splendidlife cancelled the orders 3 days prior and never shipped them. Took several emails/phone calls - but eventually I did get them to refund the charges. Way too much hassle!!!!!

"Easy transaction w/ good promotion. Got a free coffee mug and free shipping on my order. Havn't had to check with their customer service on anything, but they did ship same day. "
