As for the tea itself, they look for the best. Extremely wide selection covering hard to find rare teas, competition grade teas, along with the usual assortment of more down to earth teas. The search mechanism on the web site works well if you know what you want, but if you do not, browsing through categories is not difficult either. I have sampled or tried in large quantities over thirty different kinds of tea, and found each one to be surprisingly high quality.
Delivery is speedy. Even using postal service ground mail I get what I order within the next week. A bit faster when using FedEx or UPS. Packing is well thought out. If you ordered fragiles, such as ceramic containers, they'll mark the box well and pack it with plenty of shipping popcorn. Tea comes shipped just as carefully, in a box so that the leaves do not get crushed in transit. Individual bags of tea are clearly marked with instructions for optimum brewing.
I have never had them mess up or delay an order, and the stock on hand indicators on the site seem to be fairly accurate and up to date. They usually slip in a little something extra with your order too, such as samples of varieties you might be interested in.
All in all one of the best retailers I do business with. They know tea, and they seem to know good business too."
