"Ordered a Linksys Gigabit switch online, requested to pick it up at their Montreal location in person to avoid shipping, they agreed and asked me to wait for a confirmation call that the item is ready for pickup, since they also have a warehouse in Toronto and my switch was not in stock in Montreal... It only took a day for them to call. I didn't pay for shipping and my credit card wasn't even charged until I came in person and completed the transaction. I was very pleased with my purchase and will buy from them again."

"Bought some Kingston memory from Softmagic.ca for my older IBM laptop after stumbling upon their link from www.redflagdeals.com forums.
Apparently my laptop is relatively picky for memory so I decided to not take chances and I picked up the Kingston which was "guaranteed" to work with the IBM - which it did much to my relief. Lifetime warranty doesn't hurt neither.
Never ordered with Softmagic.ca before so I was nervous as a first timer.
They offered free shipping for the Kingston which made it better and the price was great. They had some funny methodology where they would charge the shipping (12 bucks) in the invoice but at time of billing they would only charge the product price and GST. Oh, no PST for non-Quebec residents which is nice. Saved another 7%.
Anyways, it was shipped Purolator. Ordered the 29th which was Saturday and delivered the 2nd. That blows my mind. Ordered on a Saturday and got it by Tuesday from seemingly Montreal to Vancouver. Jeez, that's good.
Since it's my first order I don't have any long term experience but if it's like this all the time they have my business for sure. "
"This guys were awesome. I ordered a screen and projector Thursday night after 12:00 and I had the screen Monday morning and the projector Tuesday morning. The status on their site still said "pending" on Monday morning so I called them and go through to someone right away who confirmed that part of the order would be their in the morning and the rest the next day and then he e-mailed me the tracking numbers which showed up on the website as well later that day.
They had the cheapest prices by a large margin. To buy just the projector at a store where I live would have been $1800CND but Softmagic were selling it for $1300CND. I asked the local store manager if he could come close to their price and he said no because it would be like trading 4 quarters for a dollar.
All in all very impressed."
"I am very impressed with this company. Not only did they have low prices, they also will phone you on your first order just to make sure that you really did place the order with your credit card. I rather like that idea.
The shipping was also very reasonable. $12 for what I ordered while other places wanted $20-$30 for shipping.
I also needed to cancel an order with them. I experinced no problems and they were quiet friendly about it."
