"I have a product that broke while under warranty. Been trying for 2 days to speak to a rep on the phone but their phone number is busy, no one responds to emails. The worst company I have ever worked with. CEO should be fired."

This Company Is A Scam

"This company is a scam and its management should be thrown in jail for committing fraud. I ordered 2 electronic items for the home. My credit card was charged and when I tried to contact them, no answer (Telephone and email). Called my credit card company and disputed the charge. They said it would take 45-90 to research. Now I'm going to have to close that card and get a new one. With the kind of values, morals and ethics they have demonstrated who knows what they are capable of. Buyer beware, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with SmartHomeUSA, you will be ripped off. Do not believe reviewers that gave them more than 1 star. Rating should be -100."

Billed credit card, but no communications of any kind since

"I placed an order, and the charge appeared promptly on my credit card, including an international transfer fee - thought they were in the USA? I got no confirmation, and no response to the message sent via the web site, other than a computer generated one. They don't answer the phone during posted business hours. I suspect the positive reviews are fake, as I would like to subtract more stars from this one. I'm contacting my credit card company tomorrow to return the funds if I receive no response to my voice mail and follow up message via the web site. Should have ordered through Amazon."

Stay away, find another store!

"I think they operate out of their home, virtually through a retail fulfillment method called drop shipping! They don’t have to stock anything or need to. All they are is a middle man using our money. It took them 16 days to ship my order and another 3 days to get it, no explanations, they won’t answer the phone or call you back, and they won’t answer emails."

"I have sent this company 3 3 mails requesting simple information and also left them a voicemail message with my phone number asking them to call me. They have not responded to any of these communications. "

No communication

"I ordered a smart strip a couple of weeks ago. The initial response when I made the order was something like an email confirmation would be made to me very soon showing that I had made the order. I never received an email confirm. Today for the 3rd time I called the company. Each time I called it was after 9AM (EDT). Each time I never got to speak to a person. I had to leave a message for a return call from the company. Needless to say I've not received a call from the company.

Today I called to cancel the order. Hopefully my order will be cancelled.

If there was a zero star choice for leaving a review I would have used it.

Wish I could give "0" stars!

"I ordered a gate alarm with one extra transmitter from the SmartHome USA website. Fortunately, I paid using PayPal so I have hopes of getting my $245 back.

Never received any communications from this so-called company at all... No e-mail confirmation following the online order. No e-mail confirmation of shipping. Nothing!

Finally called the phone number for the company that is listed in my PayPal e-mail receipt. No live person answers. Just a male voice recording saying "leave your name, number and the date and time of your call". That's it. Doesn't even identify it as a business phone.

Completely unprofessional. As total scam, I believe. Still no contact from the company but I have filed a complaint with PayPal requesting a refund.

I would recommend you stay as far away from this "company" (and I use that term very loosely!) as possible.

Non Existent Customer Support

"No humans, just blind voice mail, on phone support. A web form that goes into a black hole on the website. A week after ordering, and I have no evidence that they saw my order besides a CCard charge... no confirmation, no order number, no response to repeated messages and attempts to submit requests via the web form.

Maybe they went out of business last year, and the site is just, zombie-like, receiving orders and charging customers, who knows?

Bad bad customer

"Ordered Iroomba 880. Paid for and rec'd emailed confirmation. In email, shipping stated 2-5 days. I called on the 5th day and was told my order had been cancelled and they had notified me by phone and email. (I never received call or voicemail on my phone they claimed to call and no email either) They cancelled my order due to their claims of fraudulent orders being placed. The first guy to old me he would "push" my order thru so I would have it in 3-5 days since I was now verified. He put me on hold for a few minutes while attempting to do this, which brings up my next concern: why in the world did they keep my payment information (credit card numbers and security code) if they cancelled. Now the item is not in stock. This was for a birthday gift. Ruined the birthday. Crappy customer service by service rep and his manager. My advice- RUN, don't just walk from these people. Very shady things going on. If their lips are moving, they are lying. Will NEVER do any kind of business with them in the future. Absolutely a POS company. Stay away. "

"Slow shipping
2 Orders placed in mid Dec, one finally shipped mid Jan. I was waiting for the second order to call an electrican to get all the items installed.

The ecobee thermostats they sold me do not work correctly. even the vendor is not helpful, blaming my new home or keeps pushing new firmware, which is not helping.
there is over a 5 degree differential in the reading between the thermostat and room temp and my HVAC makes a loud fan noise when running. No issues if i replace the thermostat with a Honeywell or Trane unit.

Smarthome refuses to accept a return without a 25% restocking fee which is not right as the products are defective stating that the items are beyond 30 day (if they had shipped the second order on time, there would not have been an issue).

"Ordered a product on Sept 18th. The website said it will ship in 1-2 business days. No shipping information as received as of Sept 25th. Emailed customer service and Tyler informed me that it had not shipped yet and hopefully tomorrow. I guess AMAZON prime ruined my expectations for quick delivery from online vendors. "I ordered from SmartHome USA because their price were the cheapest and also because they deliver in Canada. Unfortunately one of the item was 7-10 days out from their supplier and I could'nt wait so I ask for a refund. It was done the next day. Great service! "BEWARE! HORRIBLE STORE! They claim to accept returns within 30 days, but they don't always do that. After I placed my order, which showed "in stock", they back-ordered it. I waited, and they STILL didn't have a ship date. When I called to cancel, they said it was non-returnable. I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN!"
