Customer service - Nil points

"Most items I am returning these days due to poor quality, mainly. Problems are continuing with their collection service for returned items, meaning more hassle and inconvenience especially as the couriers don't collect on the day booked. My emails are ignored in that their replies are worthless. I will not be shopping with them again after being a customer for at least 10 years."

They canceled one item of my order and now ask me to order again and pay the double + delivery charge

"They canceled one item of my order. No any reason, no any message.
My order number: 5754078 at 24/11/2018 (I was notified to collect at 30/11) and collected at 1/12.
I realised the item : BK465SH (0001 x PACK PYJAMAS - 24/26 - ASSORTED) was not send however there was no any information about it. no any email about it until now...
Today I access to my account and the item was cancelled on 3/12. No any reason, no any email or message, nothing but only silence.
The item still available and I can order again but the price is the double + delivery charge (now i need to pay £ 29.5 - I ordered for £ 13.00)
I sent 4 messages on you website. Inquires 417559 / 417565 / 417571 / 417575 + 3 times on chat.
I have all the print screens, names... chat transcriptions and emails.
I had 7 answers completely inconsistent. No-one solve anything.

Good, but far from perfect

"I love the deep discounts and bargains you can find on this website and the free international shipping is refreshing. If you can't handle waiting a while to get your order shipped free from another country, then you can upgrade to a faster method and get a tracking number for very little more. It's still pretty slow but that's to be expected with international shipping.

My biggest problem with Simply Be is that their website, at least where I'm at, moves sooo slow. I feel like I'm back on dial-up and it's super irritating. Often it takes 15 or more seconds to load every single time you click a new page or update an item in your cart. It's also pretty lame that they don't have an app for those in the USA that use non-apple products.

The quality of the clothing varies greatly but if you are careful to read the reviews you can avoid most of the worst of it. I've received a few items at very large discounts that were of very poor quality. Maybe even worse than what you would expect to find at walmart.

So, if you love finding good promo codes and deep discounts with free shipping, a huge selection that's available in most sizes, and can handle slow shipping speeds and a pretty awful website, then you would enjoy shopping here. Otherwise, it might be best to avoid shopping there until there are improvements.

Don’t bother

"I ordered a gift to be delivered on next day delivery. Once I received it, it was damaged..
Spoke to customer services they said it will be collected within in 48 hours. When I said does that mean I have to stay in for two days, she replied “yes” or leave it outside!!! When I asked if I would get my next day delivery payment refunded she didn’t respond.
Poor service...never using again!

"waiting 1 month for simply be to resolve a problem with their delivery that never arrived and happily to charge for the items and no one is resolving the problem at any kind of speed customer service advisers just keep saying to wait, 4 weeks later still no delivery or explanation for what happened "

Unreliable service

"Paid for expedited order and 2.5 weeks later still no arrival. Called customer service and my expedited fee was waived and she said call if it hadn't arrived in 4 more days. Its been 7 more days, 3.5 weeks after order and still no arrival. Called customer service and spoke with a dismissive staff who said it should arrive within 4 more days. When I began explaining to him how disappointed I was in the service suddenly he said he couldnt hear me, I was breaking up then he hung up on me. Very unacceptable service. "

"Can you tell me why, when requested by a customer to cancel their order (as you cant deliver their order when promised) you still send out the parcel (to an address where by no one will be there) and then refuse to refund the money you had already taken because you need to wait for the courier to return the undelivered parcel back to you? I’m asking this here as I have called everyday via your complaints line and customer service number and every time I get told to wait another couple of days and the courier have not confirmed the item has been sent back!!! It’s now been over a week and ½ and i am no closer to getting my money back! Surely this is a dispute you should be having with the courier, not the customer that cancelled the order before it was even processed and sent out for delievery
Ive just logged in to my account again and STILL my order is pending and all the items (apart from 3???) havent been cancelled! Once i have had my refund i will be closing my account and will NEVER shop with this company again!

Buyer Beware

"Ordered items on November 11th, items never arrived so they refunded me, stated it was a technical problem, and told me to reorder it again. November 17th: Same thing happened again and they said it was a technical error. This time I was not refunded, I have been jumping through hoops to get my money back. They owe me $130 and have yet to refund me. It is now December. I would like my money back."

Slow, slow, slow

"Everything about this company is slow. It takes forever for things to arrive, in this day and age 5 days for delivery to a city area is ridiculous, that's if it's in stock. If you order 10 items expect to receive half on the right day then the rest in dribs and drabs over the next few weeks. Yes weeks! They will not tell you things have not been sent, you just have to keep checking the website to see when your items are marked as dispatched then track the orders yourself. If you then don't want these items delivered to that address 3 weeks later because you did not anticipate having to be home that day for example, tough. The whole order has to go to the original delivery address even though they've sent it in 5 different parcels over several weeks, I know it's actually laughable. If you have to communicate with them their "chat" feature never has any advisors on it so you can email, but it will take at least a day to get a response, then if you have to reply you wait another day etc. If you send things back the returns are free and I've usually found this to be quite good so they get 1 point for that. "

Met my expectations!

"I always read and rely HEAVILY on reviews when purchasing my items of choice. Reviews were 50/50...but I ordered, returned and received my new items w/o any problem. When I called customer service to ask a question, found them to be very pleasant and helpful. Paying extra for the expedited shipping and tracking number was inexpensive and worth it. Only complaint I have is I did measure as indicated to purchase my boots and were too big, hence my return. I have a very wide width and had never ordered EEE size before, so not sure if that alters the size or if their sizing is off. But good quality and as advertised. Just need to allow for time of delivery, as they ship from the UK, which is clearly disclosed at time of purchase and probably depends on if a holiday or not, as my 2nd shipment seemed faster and received my refund with no issues. I would definitely do business with them again!!"

"I have ordered several times from Simply Be in the past 2 years and never had a problem until recently. Two orders with mistakes, yes I was upset. They were meant to be Christmas gifts for my daughter that she had picked out herself. I emailed Simply Be, explained the problem and they responded right away. I got the distinct impression that English was not my original customer service representatives first language. After returned packages, multiple emails my problems were more than satisfactorily taken care of. They actually went above and beyond to rectify my problem with their company. I have been and after this last experience and the way they handled it I will remain a loyal customer. Every company has complaints but I do recommend them, at least in the US. Yes, US customers be patient it takes awhile 7-10 days normally to get your package - it's a big "pond" !"

"Very upset by the terrible service(or lack of such)
I made an order by phone yesterday and payed £3 something to get it delivered today on my door between 8am and 8 pm. To be sure I got my order I had to stay in till they arrived I was told. So I'd arrange to work from home.
Just called them to be sure the order is on it's way as promised(time now is 2.21pm) and the answer was: "no,it's coming tomorrow instead...Sorry about that."
I had been in from 8am to 2:21pm for no reason and they had NOT EVEN called or emailed me? They could not answer why!
Is it possible to run a business this way?

I'm a positive person but have to say:STAY AWAY! It's like the lottery,will you get lucky? Or not?

"I made a large order on August 20th (about $200 worth of clothes and shoes) after I got a catalog in the mail and fell in love with the clothes. After I ordered the clothes though I looked at the reviews and I didn't have very high hopes. People said their packages took 6-10 weeks and that there was no tracking so I was concerned if my package would make it in time. My experience was completely different though. I received all of my clothes yesterday on August 29th (it only took 9 days to get to the US to my house in Virginia) and they sent me tracking information each step of the way. I plan to order from here again in a few weeks and love all of the products that I received!"
