"I ordered an electronic item from Shoptronics (aka CWD) a few months ago. It was delivered on time and it works as expected. No issue there, BUT... I was surprised to find that I had been charged state sales tax on my purchase. That's a rare thing because internet companies aren't required to charge sales tax on their sales unless they have a physical presence in the state where the buyer lives. Shoptronics/CWD is a Canadian company that does not have any facilities or employees in my state.

After four months of dealing with their very inept customer service department, which lied to me and never answered my question, I independently determined that they apparently voluntarily collect state sales taxes, even though it is not a legal requirement. That practice can significantly increase the cost of the items they sell online. BE WARNED..."

"This company is literally stealing from consumers. They should be reported to the bbb and put out of business. It takes weeks to receive an item. And if you don't want it you pay to send it back. The customer service is also awful. They try a and steal consumers money. Consumers never use this company because they steal from consumers."
