"After placing an order, I initially did not get a shipment notification. I followed up via email a few days later and they were able to immediately send over the shipping information and then the product arrived the next day."

Terrible tech support and outright dishonest

"I bought the laser upgrade for the 3018PRO CNC.
I connected all the wiring as per the manual, hooked up power, and immediately the CNC board started to smoke.
I disconnected power, disconnected all the wiring, rechecked the manual, reconnected all the wiring and had the same problem. I went thru 4 iterations of this trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.
I contacted Sainsmart, they asked for pics, I sent pics, and Sainsmart tried to claim I wasn't using their CNC board.
I had to take and send a pic of the board in their own manual to prove it was indeed one of their products.
Then Sainsmart claimed I wired the boards incorrectly. I had to send them a pic of the wording in their own manual to show them how their wording was unclear, if not incorrect compared to what they were telling me in e-mails.
Both the laser and CNC control boards are fried due to their instructions or a manufacturing defect in the laser board and Sainsmart isn't resolving the issue.
I'm out the money for both the CNC and the laser.
I was trying to start a laser etching side-business and not only is that on hold, I have to tell people I can't do their pieces.
I would absolutely not buy any of their products again.
It's also worth noting one of the rails for the 3018PRO was slightly bent. I discovered this when it started making noises on traversing in the X negative direction. I didn't bother contacting Sainsmart as I was able to make it work, but, again, it's worth noting that piece was bent when I received it.

High cost performance

At the first purchase, there was a problem with the laser module, and it was not possible to process it immediately. However, the response from reporting the defect to shipping the new product was very quick, so I appreciate that.
About processing, it is attached to a word that is very splendid. I was surprised at the ease with which even beginners can start right away, and the accuracy of laser processing.

SainSmart Jinsoku LC-40, wonderful machine.

"I was brand new to the laser engraving scene and carried out diligent research as to which one to buy, as a newbie and hobbyist.
I opted for the SainSmart Jinsoku LC-40, and this turned out to be a great decision.
I had occasion to contact their support team and the service I received from them didn't miss a beat. They stayed with me all the way through until I was completely up and running.
I think that choosing this particular machine was a wise choice as I have frequently seen reviews praising the capabilities of the LC-40. It has a 5.5W output laser but this is adequate for honing techniques and I have successfully engraved on tiles, canvas, stainless steel cutlery, slate and, of course, wood. Of course, a 10W output laser would be better, but I think that if a new-comer masters the 5.5W, he/she will have a better understanding of laser use and will get more from their Jinsoku.
It's simply a good, sound, value-for-money place to start, or even as a second machine.
Greta machine, and terrific support team, too.

Worldclass support and service!

"My experience with Sainsmart has been extremely positive.
I think the products are excellent and much better than i expected and if things do go wrong you can be confident that they value you as a customer and will get things corrected in a timely manner.
I purchased a Prover 4030 about a year ago and initially everything was great. Again, much better than i expected from a "hobby" machine. The assembly instructions were very concise and easy to follow, as were the rest of the setup instructions.
There was plenty of additional info on the website and i was rocking and rolling in no time.
Unfortunately i did develop a problem. My Z axis would lose steps inconsistently and at random points during repeat runs. So i contacted customer support. Hong was quick to respond and we began trying to diagnose the problem.
Replies were always quick and informative, and i always felt like there was a genuine effort to get my issue solved.
Ultimately the conclusion was reached that i had a defective part and replacement would be sent.
None were in stock in the U.S. so it was drop shipped from China and to my surprise it was on my doorstep in less than a week.

I can honestly say that when i first started looking at buying from Sainsmart i wasn't sure what to expect, and i was prepared to be disappointed. But that couldnt be further from the truth today.
I am a repeat buyer and i will continue to support Sainsmart for many years to come.

3108 Replacement Part

"I purchased a 3108 during the pandemic to hedge against my maker space not being available.
My maker space was available with extreme restrictions so I never assembled the 3108.
Recently I assembled it and got it up and running however a part failed before I did anything other than testing without doing any milling.
I reported this to Sainsmart and they immediately agreed to replace the failed part.
Within a week I had the replacement part in hand and had a usable machine.
Every email was answered overnight by Hong my customer service contact.
Excellent customer service!
