"Ordered a sound card and some ram. Recieved the order quickly. The ram was not in the orginal package, was not what i ordered, and the two sticks i ordered weren't even the same. Took me two months to get an email back and got nothing but a run around. Still haven't recieved my refund but they have the ram."

"This is what I ordered from this company, I needed a WIRELESS Keyboard with a mouse attached to it for my Home Theater PC.

A few days later I received a package from DHL. What I got was a $5.00 dollar piece of crap keyboard that wasnt even wireless. As stated before with other reviews contacting this company is a JOKE. AS STATED DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE FRAUDULENT AND CRIMINALS AND CROOKS. I have been doing online bussiness for a long time now and this is the first time that I have ever been taken. Stick with reputable companies like Newegg, Zipzoomfly, Directron, Mwave.com..these companies I have done a ton of business with and never had any problems.

"All the negative reviews are absolutely correct. Their prices are attractive, but they will ship you damaged items. I bought a case from them and I was initially happy because they shipped it fast.

When my girlfriend brought the package in, she asked "What is this rattling?" I thought it was just screws and drive rails. It turned out to be the entire front panel that was detached and a piece of plastic standoff that used to hold the panel to the case. The thing was in a wretched condition. Also, there is big chip on the side, and part of the side panel is warped. You can see the damage on the front panel here:

I do not blame DHL at all because the packaging was nothing more than 1/2" of foam that did not even fit tightly around the case.

I've called their "customer service" at least ten times now. First I just got the busy signal. Then I finally got the call through but it was for another company that they run called edazz.com, and the automated message kept saying that they were busy. If look at this site, it is the exact same site as str8buy.com with a different name.

I only wished I had read all the negative ratings on here before I bought the case, especially the one by JxSx. When I saw that he had the exact problem, I was furious. In short, this company has no place on the internet. They are only good at one thing: shipping damaged items really quickly.

"This is THE WORST!!!!!!! company I have ever dealt with for online purchases!

ABSOLUTELY NO!!!! Customer Service!

My case came BROKEN from the company. The face plate looks like someone ripped it off by hand. I AM SURE that it did not happen during shipping! These guys are only 20 miles from me, so it's not like it came across the country. They were also slow to deliver. Not only that, but they didn't send me the right color case either!

Their "customer care" line never picks up and the message box is full!

The e-mail address "****@****" comes back as undeliverable and is redirected to a different address: "****@****".
The only way to contact these jokers is through their on line form submission.

I recommend DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from this "company".

I should have went back and bought from Dealsonic again first.

This is being disputed through my CC company and I still have not heard back from this "company" a week later.

Do yourself a favor and buy from a reputable seller.

"The WORST service I have ever dealt with in my life. I've been trying to RMA my Radeon X800 XT, and have had nothing but problems. When they finally pick up the phone after trying for hours, the customer service is rude and unhelpful. When I sent the card back, the RMA time has been over THREE MONTHS. With Newegg, it's only a week or so.

Worst store I've ever seen. I paid $750 for this card, and I can't believe how terrible their customer service is.

"They show nice stuff, then send GARBAGE, and then you can't get in touch with them...

I ordered a 400 Watt Power Supply from Str8buy.com. It was a good price so I paid extra for the 'testing'. The power supply that I got was NO WHERE NEAR the specifications listed on the webpage that I ordered from! I tried getting a contact number from the website, but found that you could only place orders, not talk to someone about a problem (go ahead, try and get in touch with someone BEFORE you place an order!). Well, I sent an email with the specs. of the Power Supply as listed on the website, and then with the specs. that were listed on the side of the Power Supply that I received. No response. I sent again two days later. Still no response. I called up my Credit Card and told them the problem and they took action on my behalf (froze the same amount from Str8buys account). Then I got an email response telling me to ship it back and then they would credit me the amount. I asked for a pre-paid shipping sticker or a prepaid shipping container, and even asked if I could just send it back with the carrier that they use (at no cost to me), Of course... No response... I sent the email again a few days later, and they replied that I had to pay to return the item and they wouldn't repay my shipping costs or guarentee that they would send me one that met the specs. advertised.

I finally insisted that they send me the power supply that I paid for, or a way for me to send the garbage that they sent me back (at little to no cost) or informed them that I would just let my C.C. company argue with them. I was tired of sending emails to them. They did nothing, I did nothing, Citibank refunded me the purchase price and I threw out the piece of junk that they sent me (I had to get one somewhere else to finish the PC that I was working on...).

Thank goodness for a good C.C. Company, and No Thanks to Str8buy.com. They sell junk and are almost impossible to reach. I will NEVER deal with them again. I suggest that you don't either... If you insist on dealing with them though, try finding and calling the Customer Service Dept. first... Then I'd bet that you would NEVER deal with them either!.!.!.!

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE. THEY WILL SEND YOU THE WRONG ITEM AND NOT REFUND YOUR MONEY.

I ordered a Winfast 2000 Deluxe from their website and they sent me a Winfast 2000 EXPERT, which is a totally different item. According tos ome of the reviews here, they have a habit of sending you something *similar* to what you ordered if they don't have what you ordered in stock. GIVE ME A BREAK. That just makes matters worse, especially when what you ordered is a higher quality item than what you got. If you enjoy getting busy signals when spending an entire day trying to correct their (purposeful?) mistakes, then please order from Str8buy. Otherwise, don't.

"I bought two Codegen 9011 ATX Charcoal server cases for just $40
each. And was very satisfied until I bought a power supply
separately.

If you have a problem they will attempt to stonewall you on
refunds and exchanges. I ordered an Extremo power supply that
they claim is 500 Watts. It could not even hold up my computer
with 2 hard drives. The specs on the side of the power supply
showed only 11A on +12.

01/26/2005 Submitted RMA request

01/27/2005 Got reply that did not include an RMA number.
I replied the same day but never got a response.

02/02/2005
I called and spoke with Willi. I said I wanted to exchange it
for the 400 Watt Hercules because it is the only low cost one
that shows specs on their site and shows 25A on the +12. He
claimed they were having problems with their email and gave me
the RMA number. He said if it has similar problems, I can return
it for a refund

03/09/2005
Over a month later. Still haven't received it, so I called. Phi
said they just received it yesterday. I said I was looking at
the Fedex delivery confirmation and it was received and signed
for by Jon on 02/08/05 which was a month ago. Then he said they
must have been testing it and the case just got to his department
yesterday.

I had to tell him again to send the 400 Watt Hercules
even though I told them before on the phone and I said it in the
letter with the RMA number I included in the return package. He
said he would and and it will ship today. The tacking number
will be emailed to me.

3/14/05 I received the Hercules power supply. Again, specs on
the web site are an outright lie.

I called and spoke with Pete. He said to refuse the package and
DHL will return it without charging me shipping even though it
has already been opened. It is in their contract with DHL.
Willi did not tell me that and I had to pay shipping again to
return the first one. So I returned it with a letter that had
the RMA #.

4/18/2005
Again, over a month later and no refund. I tried calling and
cannot get through. I can't even leave a message because the
voice mailbox is full. I sent an email asking the RMA refund
status. No reply.

4/29/2005
I tried calling and could not get through again the first time.
It wont even let me leave a message because the voice mailbox is
full. I tried again a few minutes later and finally got through
and spoke with Anthony.

He claimed there was was no such order # or RMA #. After
debating the issue, he put me on hold and then Willi came to the
phone. He claimed they issued credit yesterday for $24.42.
However, no credit currently shows at my bank, even under
scheduled transactions.

I asked questions like, why has it taken over a month to credit
my account and why didn't they respond to my email enquiring
about the RMA status.

Every time I started to corner him with a question, he would put
me on hold for a while to get me off the subject and would then
come back and give me the same answer that I have been credited,
without answering my previous question.

I asked if they decided not to give me the refund for the other
shipping I had to pay and he said "What shipping?". I said,
didn't you have the letter I included in the box with a full
break down?"

He said, "we have credited you, what more do you want?". I told
him the reason I had requested the refund to include my return
shipping the first time because the specs on the web site were
a lie. He said they only show the manufactures specs. I started
saying that is not correct because the manufacturers specs right
on the side of the power supply don't even come close to the
specs your web site shows and he cut me off and put me on hold
again A few minutes later he came back and said "May I help you"
as though we were starting all over. I thought for a second that
maybe he sent somebody else to talk to me. I said "Who am
I speaking with now?" He said this is Willi. I said "What were
you doing?". No response for a second or two. I said, "I
thought you went to check on something relating to the power
supply." Then I got about 10 more seconds of silence and he hung
up on me.

My bank account finally showed $24.42 credited to my account.
This did not include the first return shipping I had to pay.

I since have bought several 310W power supplies from
http://www.pcpowercooling.com for $49. And they work great. To
compare to the previous so called 400W and 500W PS's, here are
the specs of a true 310W PS.

"Package was sent ground instead of 2nd day air, that I paid extra for.
The expensive video card I ordered was sent in a big manilla envelope with just some bubble wrap protecting it. No instruction manual (which I don't really need anyway, and is probably stated on the site that you don't get one.)

The video card stopped working a little over 2 weeks later, and this store's RMA policy is a fraud. You must have the original invoice, and pay for the shipping to the store, to the manufacturer, and back to you. And if nothing was "found to be malfunctioned", you get the same card back. It'd be almost $40 to "maybe" get a replacement.

I've learned my lesson, NewEgg from now on...

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!This company is actually eDazz.com. When I sent an email to eDazz customer service, I was sent to Str8buy.com. eDazz.com sent me the wrong case and shorted me a Power Supply and a case fan. They never responded to my email and they will not pay for the shipping and handling for returns. Also, they will charge me 15% to return which is pretty much 1/2 of what I paid for the product in the first place!!!"

"I bought 526 meg of much needed RAM for my Tecra 8100. STR8BUY.com was the cheapest I found through Froogle. The RAM works great. I really have no complaints. Pretty much standard wait to receive the item.

Cant say much about customer service, since I really didnt need to interface with anyone. I think that speaks for itself. I did receive prompt notification emails into the status of my item.

Will definately use this vendor again.
