"I received most of my order quickly, and it is working ok, but one item was not shipped, and is not checked off on the packing list as being packed. I have tried to contact the company 4 times so far, no answer."
"The first time I got my Barebones computer, the power supply was bad.
I sent it back, got no refund for lost time and wasted resources. Their receptionist is incredibly rude.
After sending it back, and spending another 50 bucks getting it there, it took them 3 weeks to fix, and every time I called trying to find out what they were doing with my computer, the woman who answered the phone was short with me. She even hung up on me once, with not even so much as a have a nice day.
When it got here the second time, it had a CPU fan error. You'd think that the they would have better quality control so that I wouldn't have to open my own tower up and jerry-rig the thing myself. They left wiring hanging in the CPU fan.
I won't be buying from them again. That's for certain."
"at the time of this request I have not yet received my system. this is the 2nd computer I ordered from this vendor and the 2nd order was processed MUCH slower then the 1st one.
After 8 days of waiting for an Email detailing the shipping info, I finally called and talked to a rep. I was told the order will ship the following day as its normal for orders that need to be assembled. I indicated my order was not supposed to be assembled or tested and asked to pay for expediting the shipping but was told it will be "very expensive" (they never actually gave me a quote).this morning I got an E-mail showing it should arrive in 6 days. I will not order from them again!"

"I'm very happy with my order. The cost was unbeatable at the time I ordered, and once I received my shipment, there was a check list of everything I ordered as well as a list of what was tested to make sure everything was compatible. The packaging was well done, and it was even marked Fragile "Contains Glass" to ensure its safety. My only complaint would be that I wanted the package left on my enclosed porch and for some reason it was sent out with a signature necessary, so I had to go pick it up. Not a big deal really, since I live close to a FedEx. I would definitely recommend this company though."
"I canceled my order with SMK due to their outrageous shipping prices and ludicrous processing time. SMK intended to charge me $41.95 for FedEx GROUND shipping and anticipated order delivery in 7-10 days from order placement. In contrast, Newegg charged me $15.98 for UPS 2nd Day Air and had my completed order in my hands in 3 days. I will never do business with SMK."
"Tried to order a DVD Burner for a customer from SMK. Their website showed the item as in stock. Got confirming email explaining the item would arrive in 4-6 business days. Never got tracking number. A week later they send an email saying the item is back ordered and the inventory was incorrect."
"i ordered a barebone computer without the hard drive, video card and dvd drive.. when i came here i got worried because of the bad reviews but i just got it yesterday and i was very pleased... it was assembled and came with the box to the motherboard which was good. Im typing this right now using my new comp im would tell my friends to order a barebone computer from them.
also right after i orderd there was this promtion for a premium upgrade for the fans i didnt think they would actually send it but when i checked they did so that was pretty cool too"

i ordered an AMD Phenom 2 Quad 955 Black Edition processor with an asus M3A78 board 2x2GB DDR2-800 & went ahead & upgraded the power supply to a star 680 watts power supply with platinum delivery plan for additional $6.87 ( for what - i don't know ). order placed May 29th, 2009 - saturday. invoiced june 1st 2009 package arrived june 9. discovered that i had received an AMD 9600 Quad CPU instead of the 955 quad. called & gave the benefit of a doubt that it may be an honest mistake. i was told by teresa to return the CPU to exchange for the right one. shipped me a defective one & i am writing this as i am repacking the entire system for return. be careful when buying from a company with rip off history. i will post additional details as this situation unfolds.

"I will never buy from this site again. I placed an order on Saturday for two parts I needed. I received an order confirmation via e-mail and was told that I would have the part within 4 to 6 business days. On Monday my credit card was charged. On Wednesday morning, I e-mail them since I hadn't received any shipping confirmation. On Wednesday evening at 5:30 PM, I received a one line e-mail saying, "We are sorry but the item(s) you ordered are out of stock and there is no ETA. Your card has been refunded." It took them 3 whole business days to tell me they did not have my items in stock and that was after I e-mailed them. They charged my credit card before they even verified they had the items. This was a time sensitive issue and now they have wasted three whole days, plus I have to wait a couple days to get my money refunded."
"False advertising. Stated that they had item "EG365P-VE" in stock, placed rush order on that belief, 6 days later informed that they do not have it at all. Their website still has it listed as "in stock"! Why would a company do that to people?!? That's a flat out lie! Other companies have actual real time inventory control. Wish this had been one of them, will not waste time to try again here though."
