"Room77.com is a complete scam organization. They claim to be associated with top hotel chains like Hilton and Marriott, but this couldn't be further from the truth. They lure customers in with false promises of discounted rates and exclusive deals, only to disappoint and deceive them in the end.

I recently booked a reservation through Room77.com, thinking I was getting a great deal on a hotel room at a popular chain. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was informed that they had no record of my booking and that Room77.com was not affiliated with them in any way. I was forced to pay full price for a room that I thought I had already paid for through Room77.com.

Avoid this website at all costs. They are dishonest, unreliable, and clearly do not have the best interests of their customers in mind. Don't fall for their lies and false advertising - book your hotel reservations directly through reputable sources to avoid getting scammed. Room77.com is a complete fraud and should be avoided at all costs."

"Unfortunately, we booked a one night stay at this Lumberton location through a deceptive 3rd party called Room77 (they came up first in the google search and my wife believed she was calling Best Western). We were told the reservation was fully refundable. We did not even want a refund. We just wanted to move the date of arrival one day later. There were rooms available but they said they would have to charge us a 30% fee just to move the one night reservation one day. Again, there were rooms available. Room77 said it was the hotel's policy, not theirs. We pointed out that a search we did while we were on the phone through expedia showed that the rooms at the location were fully refundable even up to 4pn of the day of the reservation. Room77 then said they called the hotel directly and were told there was no manager who could approve waiving the fee until the next morning. We then called Best Western corporate reservations who while perfectly polite took zero responsibility for how their brand was being represented. They said that Room77 outright lied when they said it was the hotel that was assessing the fee. Best Western refused to do anything for us despite acknowledging that this happens with a lot of the third party vendors and they choose not to make the refund policy a criteria for the third party to act as a reseller. This is, across the board, remarkably poor and deceptive service. How could we ever be expected to use Room77 or Best Western, ever again."

"When I made a reservation on-line at what I thought was the Colony Hotel's website in Palm Beach, FL (in fact, it was their famous website with the pink hotel), I presumed I had contacted the hotel directly to book a room for my wife's and my anniversary. However, apparently a very aggressive alternate site appears to have taken over this reservation, and we somehow ended up with . However, when I showed up at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, they did not have a reservation in my name and said I must have booked the reservation through a third party. Fortunately, they had rooms available, and I was able to check in. We called the number for to complain, were not able to get through to a live person, but, on a phone menu, there was an option to cancel, which we did. They said they would refund our money, but they charged me anyway. In addition, their price of $1,127.14/night was $337.27 more expensive than the Colony Hotel's rate for a better room. We ended up having to pay the hotel $763.12 while "Room77.com" pocketed the $1,127.14 for doing nothing, because they never payed the hotel anything. Room77.com is a total and complete fraud."

"This company engages in outright FRAUD. They masquerade online as the hotel you are booking with, appear to be the hotel you are booking with, and their charge to your credit card even says they are the hotel you are booking with. But in addition to the $175 a night their website SAYS you are being charged (which is right in line with rate Marriott advertises for the same room), they tack on $137 PER NIGHT as a "tax and recovery fee". On your credit card bill, it shows a charge to "CourtyardbyMarriott", which is of course an effort to continue to deceive you into believing you are dealing with Marriott. NEVER do business with these crooks."

"I brought up their website and called their 888 number to book a reservation in Maine. The website stated a price of $160.00 per night yet I was charged more than 50% greater for the same room. When I questioned them about the excessive amount I was told that the difference was due to taxes and fees and that the fee was $19.00. Having been a resident of Maine and having family still in Maine, I know that the tax fees for a single night hotel is not 60+ dollars. From my perspective, this is nothing more than a scam. "

"These people have a way to jump in and take over your reservation and you cannot tell. They charge fees in excess of 40% on top of room cost. They are just as bad as the cyberhackers from North Korea, yet legal. Credit card companies are no help in controlling these people. Be cautious."

"I booked a room thinking I was dealing directly with the hotel. Normally I use Expedia and they typically great with no headaches. The booking agent said this was the best possible rate available and it was a better rate than I would get through Expedia. He made me prepay indicating it was non refundable. When I immediately looked on Expedia I discovered that they over charged me by more than double I was furious. They **** lied to me and now I see why they have a 1 Star review. We checked into the hotel and when we got to the room the sheets had not been changed and they were stained. Beyond nasty and we immediately left. They’ll get a review too! Tried to cancel and get money back and then the frustration really began. OMG talk about a runaround. In short DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!"

"Thought I was talking to front desk. No mention of additional fees charged. Said I had 72 hours to cancel, but when trying to cancel, automated phone calls said it was NON-REFUNDABLE. and no response to phone calls or emails. Charge was immediate on my credit card - I am disputing. "

"Accidentally used their website. (I should have read fine print, I was in a hurry and doing it on my phone). A $200 room in Wallace Idaho ended up costing me $350. Tax and recovery fee by Room 77 was $119.09!

Asked them to call, they didn't. I called, texted, and emailed. I did receive an email, but it didn't justify how they could charge over $100 when hotel itself wouldn't have charged those fees at all.

Do NOT use this company. They did say charges were wholesale prices, not available to the public... but hotel itself would have charged less!!

"Asked Google to call the hotel I was going to stay at and got connected to this "service" that said "thank you for calling" press 1 for reservations. Walked through the whole thing then the price. I asked where the 160 rooms were and he said they were booked up full and the 189 room was all that was left. Total would be 209$. Only place in BFE so I had to take it. Got to the hotel the confirmation # they gave me was garbage but I saw a second email from the actual hotel with a good confirmation #. That's when I realized I hadn't been taking to the hotel when I booked. Total charge for a 160$ room $260! room77.com is a scam. Don't do it! "
