"Restaurant.com sells fake gift certificates. I bought one, tried to use it, and the restaurant said I'd been scammed. They don't give you gift cards, they give you "certificates" you can print out on their site that nobody takes. I emailed and called about this and got no reply, and had to file a chargeback.

I don't know why they think they can sell gift cards to other people's businesses, but they should stop. I regret believing their offer."

"Whatever you do don't purchase from this place, it is next to impossible to find a decent restaurant to redeem the money and if you do find one there are so many restrictions it is not funny. I still have credits in my account from 6 years ago that I still have not been able to spend. The App is just about as crappy as the choice's of restaurants. "Spent almost $200 on SPECIALS movie and restaurant certificates and the website says all but 2 were used!!! Not by us!!! The movie tickets were used but not the restaurant gift cards. Had one for $100 and it isn’t even showing up, even though I have the printed copy with order #. Also, the four $25 restaurant codes on my printed copy don’t even match the 2 gift cards they say I have remaining. They are over a year old because we forgot about them, but clearly written DO NOT EXPIRE!!! DO THEIR EMPLOYEES USE THEM WHEN THEY SEE THEY HAVEN’T BEEN USED???? SCAM company!!!"

"I signed up as a restaurant owner when we first opened.
I have tried contacting them to get my restaurant removed from their 'service' and all I get is an answerphone and no returned calls. There is no way of removing my restaurant from the service.
I am now declining coupons and referring the guest back to restaurant.com to get transferred to another restaurant.
It shouldn't be allowed to be in business. Its so unethical and should be closed down.

My issue concerns their refusal to respond (done twice) to a request to consolidate "Gift Cards", that resulted from credits for closed place or "refusals", into a larger value "certificate" that can be used for other places requiring greater value "gift cards"..
