"I found this business through an online photography forum (http://photography-on-the.net). It was perfect timing as I was in need of two telephoto lenses for a weekend vacation I took with my girlfriend and her brother. Below is a recap of my experience.
Kevin (the owner?) was very prompt with his emails and answered any questions I had about the terms and conditions. His customer service was great which was important to me since it was my first time renting large ticket items over the internet. I rented the Sigma 50-500 and the Canon 100-400 IS - new, these two lenses run around $2,600!
My package arrived a day early, much to my surprise. Based on their rental agreement, this allowed me to have the lenses for another full day. The packaging was clean and included in the box was a return label and an email detailing my order and confirming critical dates (order date, ship date and date I need to ship back by).
The lenses were in great shape with no visible marks as far as I could tell. I think the Sigma may have been brand-spanking new (though it made a funny sounds when focusing - did not affect performace at all). If these lenses were used, I'm very impressed as all the paperwork and original packaging was still in the boxes.
Overall my experience with this vendor has been excellent. I have already recommended their services to many of my friends as they seem to be reliable and focused on putting the customer first. They also have a wide variety of lenses and other camera items you can rent.
My next lens is going to be a big investment and I'll probably try a couple out before I buy. If you are in the same boat, do yourself a favor and check this vendor out!
