"I don't customarily write reviews, but I think I need to say something about my experience with this company. I ordered an item from their website and I had not received the item nor the tracking number. After a week, I called them and they told me it would be sent out the following Monday. It was not sent. I also sent them about 3 emails altogether with no response each time. I called them again, and they said the item was not available and then they sent me an email with a warning that I would have some kind of "censure" from ebay for cancelling my order. I had not cancelled my order; they did and I had not purchased this item through ebay.

This is very unfortunate. I certainly cannot recommend this dealer.

I lost a week's worth of intended work with the item I wanted to purchase. In all fairness, the customer servicepersons were polite. I have no complaint with their mien.

However, I cannot recommend this company; I am only sorry that I had not read the reviews prior to my involvement in the ordering process.

Post Script—per July 10th—I received a phone call from Pyxis with an apology and they have resolved this problem to my satisfaction. They continue to remain polite and appear to be working on their merchandising issues. I am satisfied that they are responsive.

"Had to call and cancel an order. The man who answered the phone stated there would be a $45.00 restocking fee (Even though nothing has shipped). Never heard of this before in my life. I Have not received a cancel confirmation. Will update as the process plays out. Funny thing is, I probably would have ordered from them in the future and spent a descent amount of money there. A Mark called telling me the order would be canceled and the charge lifted. I have yet to see any changes on my statement, however. I will continue to update as progress is made. If a resolution is met I'll definitely improve their rating.

"They are not an authorized canon dealer. They will lie and tell you they are. They will even send you a canon warranty card with your purchase. But if you call Canon to confirm the warranty they will tell you that Pyxis Camera is not an authorized dealer and you do not have a valid warranty.
After you place an order they will force you to call them to confirm the order. Then they will try and up sell you things.
Finally they wont ship your order for at least 5 business days after you order it.

Buy your stuff someplace else."

"I wish I have read this site before I placed order with them. I ordered a Canon 5d mark2 with 24-105 len kit through ebay on 5/28. One month later I am still waiting for the missing len(they promised numberous time to deliver, but nothing happened), and my vacation is coming up next Sat,regardless the body is open box no warrantee Chinese market product. Marc Johnson finally told me this morning" You really think I gonna help you after you left negative feedback on ebay?" yeah right, I am gonna leave anywhere I can to reveal their true face. For the missing len, I am partially disputing it through PayPal right now."

"I've been hesitant to post a rating on here, but I've had enough. I ordered a Panasonic AG-HMC 150 in March 2009. I am pleased with the camera and accessories included in the order. However, I was supposed to receive an extended life battery as part of the warranty package. Three months later, I still do not have it. Every time I call to check the status, I am told that it will ship the next day, or in two days, etc. and that I will receive a tracking number via email. I have been extremely patient. However, the final straw came when "Mark" (who also promised to send me TWO extended life batteries in a previous call) began yelling at me over the phone, telling me that I should call back the next day. In my opinion, Pyxis should keep on top of unfulfilled orders. I shouldn't have to call multiple times only to receive a dishonest answer. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. They take your money and forget all about you. I've definitely learned my lesson and will not be shopping with them again. If I were you, I wouldn't either."
