"Just horrible service.
They guaranteed they had the item, a watch.
later I got a call to tell me that the item was back ordered.
When choosing a similar item that was in stock their representives they went through a long process of questioning a perfectly good credit card.
Later in that day, I managed to place the order.
Customer service told me the item was higher priced than the listing Princeton Watches had on Amazon Com
Additionally, they would not match another valid sellers price -even though it was their policy -unless they had a slew of different verifications.

When all was said and done the order was still not in the system and they told me to call back after the weekend and try to place the order later
Again, just horrible service, I must have spent over an hour and a quarter trying to do business with them with no effect.

"Ask if they fix Concord watches. They said yes send in for estimate. Charged me shipping both ways plus a service fee. Received watch back on my doorstep without a word with note cannot fix. Kept all my money. I had to call. Refused refund for estimate charge even after I said I would pay shipping both ways. No way for an internet company to do business. I wonder if they even fix watches. Bad customer service. Needless to say they did not ask for my feedback on their site. Suggest you avoid. Whish I could charge them for all the time they took to tell me they are keeping my money even though they did not provide an estimate. They give on-line service a bad name. Oh this took several weeks.

"I sent a old pocket watch,for a repair estimate, my grandfather had bought in the 1800's. I sent it in in its drawstring watch bag that i assume was over 100 years old. i did not get it repaired and they returned it to me without the bag. i called them to try to get the bag back. I was told they did not have the bag and they were not responsable for customer packaging. Come on princeton, an obvious watch bag is packaging. Give me a break."

"Princeton may be a good place to buy a watch but never send your watch there for service. I sent a swiss made watch to them as they list on their website that they can perform service on all watches, including swiss watches (even Rolex). They received my watch on July 25th, and one week later called to say they had received it and that it would take about six weeks to complete the service. On August 8th I was billed the entire amount of the service. Approximately 10 weeks later I called to find out what the status is for my watch. I'm told at this time that it will be another 4 weeks for the service to be completed. Another 5 weeks pass. At this point I sent an email to the service department and their reply is that it will be another 4 weeks. Being concerned I call and am told by the customer service rep that she will call the repair facility and get back to me within a couple of hours. That was yesterday morning (11-9-11). Still have not heard a thing. I have no idea when I am going to get my watch, what condition it will be in, if they damaged it while performing routine service, whatever. The reason that I sent it to them was that the manufacturer gave me an estimate of 3 months to perform the service as it would have been sent to their service facility in Europe. Bottom line, find someone local to service your watch, or use the manufacturers service department."

"Terrible!!! I bought a G-schock (GW6900A-7) from Princeton Watches around the beginning of September, and when I waited for a week and there was still no watch, I called customer service. The person there told me my watch would not be shipped until mid-October! What kind of reseller does not restock until a month and a half later?! (By the way, when I checked online it said the watch was in stock). I would not recommend going to Princeton Watches to buy a G-schock. Although Amazon may be a tad bit pricier, it's your best bet. I'm definitely not buying from Princeton Watches again."

"Don't waste your time buying in this website. This has been the worst retail experience I have ever had in my life. They got me on the phone for more than 1 hour, telling me that my credit card was not approving the transaction when they actually did, asking me to call back another day, putting down the phone when I was asking to speak with a manager... AWFUL!!"

"The fact is that I buy numerous items online and have never, ever had such a runaround with so many mistakes on the part of the retailer. Where do I start?

-First, an item wasn't listed as "Out of stock" (understandable - I was not upset at this, it happens).
-Second, I received an email stating that I had changed my order 3 times and would be charged 10.00. I did not "change my order 3 times within an hour" - I changed it twice. It was the original order until about 4pm...then it was changed once, then once more. Twice, not three times.
-Third, ALL THREE items (comparable items of the same brand) on the site are listed at 158.00. They still are! This was incredibly unclear until I called. The $10 charge stemmed from, according to a rep, a "$128 vs $138 price." While I am not complaining about a lower-than-expected price, this just contributes to the confusion on my part and really shows a lack of organization on the part of Princeton Watches.
-When I did call for clarification an employee verbally confirmed that "The item had shipped," after explaining the 10.00 difference and the request for another paypal transfer. Yet I later checked my voice mail and got a message that was apparently left by another employee around the time I was on the phone with that very same employee, stating that I needed to send the paypal funds or my item would not be shipped that day.

All in all there is really nothing to be done at this point except wait for the watch. This shopping experience was a headache as I spent a good 45 minutes trying to figure out how to reconcile what the site said (158.00, in stock) with what the email said (first item is out of stock plus I owe 10.00) with what the employee said (why I owe 10.00 plus the item HAS already shipped) plus what Diane said in the message (that the item did not, after all, ship).

I think that the best route would frankly be to charge 158.00 for the watch in the future, which is still a competitive price, and spend extra revenue on better training for customer service reps. I honestly mean that. If I had just known that first watch was out of stock, OR if I had been told clearly that I was required to pay the paypal request before the item would have shipped (whereas in reality I was told the opposite), I could have expected the watch today as desired. As it is, I would strongly recommend others avoid buying from this site when competitors such as Amazon.com and others who have a much more streamlined process. 45 minutes of my time is worth much more than 20.00 to me.

What gives, Princeton? This could have been so much more simple on many levels. At the very least, the rep I spoke with should have verified! I took pains to make SURE the watch was shipping via verbal verification, as I did not have a way to properly use paypal (it was giving me an error related to "Verified shipping address") until after missing the shipping deadline. I would have simply given card info over the phone if I had known.

Let me reiterate my sense of disappointment at everyone's time being wasted in what was an unnecessarily complex transaction.

By way of introduction, my name is Michael Tanudjaja. I am currently in Jakarta, Indonesia

Yesterday I just received my wife's watch purchased from PrincetonWatches.com and as promised it arrived 5 working days after Princetonwatch shipping confirm for shipment. I am satisfied at their availability to provide accurate proximity information to shipping destination arrival between 5 - 10 days eventhough i'am located in South East Asia (Jakarta, Indonesia to be exact). Princetonwatches always provide prompt reply to my initial query eventhough the value of the watch was relatively small (USD 125) and i was asking if it was possible to be shipped to Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. The payment was made by the fund in my account though wire tranfer and once they received, they directly confirmed it. I am sincerely pleased with all PrincestonWatches service and highly recommend this to anybody especially to you who are in any capital city in Asia as in my case.
