"I order the SONY 5.0 megapixal digital, credit card sized camera for $392.00 I choose the free standard shipping. I called over 2 weeks ago and have not yet received the camera but saw the charge hit my AMEX account. When I called Priceler they told me that they ran out of the merchandise and I could reorder with them in mid September. The Rep also said that they would credit my account but two weeks later I have still not received my credit. I had to place an inquiry into the charge through AMEX just so that they could investigate the charge that had no merchandise delivered."

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! On july 15 I purchased a camera from priceler.com. I never recieved a follow up call but did get an e-mail about the order. 2 weeks later with no camera I called.

LIE #1 They said that they called me and told me the camera was on back order. I never recieved a call nor did they leave a voice mail.

LIE #2 They then informed me that they had a shippment due in by the end of the week. On that Friday my account status changed to in werhouse. So I called and they informed me that they were not expecting a shipment until next week and that one in the country had this camera. So I called around to other companies and most of them did have the camera in stock.

So with one month passed and 5 calls with them telling me it would be in in another week I cancled my order.

LIE #3 Four days after the order had been cancled I called and asked where my money was. They said that everything had been completed on there end and that the credit union was to blame. So I called the credit union and they had no record of the refund.

Well 10 days later I did get my money back but only for 6 days. They recharged the full amount to my account.

Now they have my money and the Priceler phone # has been disconected and the priceit4less is bussey all the time I am at a loss.

All I can do is file paperwork through my credit union.

I ADVISE EVERYONE THAT THINKS ABOUT DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY TO THINK TWICE AND READ ALL THE REVIEWS ON THIS SITE.

"PRICELER.COM IS THE BUSINESS FROM HELL! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PRICELER.COM. DO NOT BELIEVE REVIEWS OF SELLING COMPANY WEB SITES. They have a vested interest in lying. When I found Priceler.com they had a review rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars. CHECK COMPANY REVIEWS AT THIS SITE. PRICELER.COM’S REVIEW RATING THERE WAS 4.2 OUT OF 10 on this date 6/1/04. A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE WOULDN’T YOU SAY? My suucky story follows.

I ordered a camera on 6/1/04 as they said it was in stock. They emailed me back to verify my email address. I called them and asked when it would be shipped. They said not until the next week, probably Tue the 8th. So at 4:30 PM on the 8th, I looked on the web and the status said still in the warehouse, so I called about it. They said they were waiting shipment on the cameras, though I was told originally they had it in stock. So I told them that I was told it was in stock before I ordered it. You were? Oh uh!! I said I had waited long enough and cancel the order. That same day, on the 8th they tapped my bank account for the amount of the transaction. On the 9th I called and the status was not “canceled”, but still in “warehouse” WHERE IT REMAINS TO THIS DAY. So I called again. They said they could ship it 2nd day air today. And why did I want to cancel. Uh, I don’t know, perhaps too many lies by now. How could I possibly believe they would actually ship it anytime soon after all the differing stories? I said I had canceled yesterday and again today and how could they possibly tap my bank account after I had canceled. I spoke to the manager Anthony, who said their billing department could not credit my account back again for 5 to 7 business days. I asked, if they could tap my account in a matter of hours after I canceled, why could they not put my money back in the same amount of time. He just said, that’s how long it takes our “billing department” to put the money back. And he said the order had been canceled.

I called the number that was listed on my bank statement by Priceler.com, or 1-***-***-****. It turned out to be a fax number. NO LUCK THERE!

I called back on the 16th, a week after the cancellation and 15 days after the initial order and got the same wait message. I waited 21 minutes before someone finally picked up. I asked for the billing department. The salesman said the billing department would not be open until 11:00 AM. I waited and called back again after 11:00 A.M. Again after ANOTHER LONG WAIT, I asked the same salesman for the billing department. The same salesman who put me off before, when I asked for the billing department just said, can I help you. Apparently, HE WAS THE BILLING DEPARTMENT NOW. I asked where my refund was. He said, it would take ten business days not counting weekends to get my money credited back. I said, you told me 5 to 7 days before. “Well it normally takes about 10 business days”. I said thank you to which he LAUGHED OUT LOUD AT ME. Satan himself couldn’t have produced a more sinister laugh.

The salesman/billing department laughed at me when I asked for my refund after waiting a week FOR THEIR MISTAKE. The status of my order on their web site on this day the 17th still said “in warehouse” not canceled or some other indication that anything was happening at all. After waiting so long and having them extend the charge reversal I decided that there was nothing they would not do. I think they planned to put me off and keep my money for as long as I would take it including forever if possible. My only recourse then was to file a claim with my bank for a reversal of the charges for lack of delivery of goods.

ITS COMPANIES LIKE PRICELER.COM WHO GIVE BUYING ON THE INTERNET A BAD NAME. AGAIN, PRICELER IS THE BUSINESS FROM HELL.

Priceler.com is Jerks, liars, cons and thieves. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PRICELER.COM. By The Way, my bank account was tapped by “PRICEIT4LESS.COM”. I SUSPECT THEY ARE CHANGING COMPANY NAMES UNTIL THEIR RATING IS SOOO LOW THAT BUSINESS SUFFERS SUBSTAINTIALLY AND THEN CHANGE NAMES AND BEGIN AGAIN. It’s far too easy for cons now days, is it not?

I finally had to go to my bank and have them reverse my credit card charges. Priceler would have kept my money forever if I hadn’t.

"Complaint to Priceler
When I checked my account two weeks ago, I found an unknown company charged me $341.99. Then I was very amazed because I had no idea about it. So I checked it out from the charge company, i.e. the PriceT4Less. I made a call to this company. They said they charged me because I bought a digital camera from them. But I remembered I never bought any camera from the PriceT4less.
So I had to check all order information from the shopping recorder. At last, according the amount I found out a suspectable company, i.e. Priceler. But I was sure that I had not verified that order successfully because it is too hard. The verification mail said I must verify in two weeks, and then I give up. They never send me more information. Hence I place another order and verify successfully. Although I think it’s impossible, I still make a call to them.
First I got a man, I told him what happened to me. He didn’t tell me the reason, and only asked my ZIP code, he said he would cancel that order and sent me a notice mail. After two days, I never got an email for notice. Then I made a call again. This time I got a lady. I said I wanted cancel the order and I gave her my order number directly. And I ask her whether the Price4Tless is the same company to the Priceler. She said they use the same account. At last, I know the charge company is the Priceler, and the PriceT4Less too.
But 8 days later I never get a full refund. I have to make a call again and again. The phone is so busy. I have to spend so much time to call them.
My complaint is that,
1. Why did you charge me when I have not verified my order successfully?
2. Why did not you cancel my order after you promise?
3. Why did not you send me an email to notify me when you charged me?
4. Why did not you give me a full refund after so long time?
I don’t know the reason. But the experience shopping in your website is very unhappy. I will never shop anything from your website again.
People should be careful to that company. They are not creditable.

"I placed an order for a Canon PowerShot G5 recently. I received the confirmation e-mail about my order the day I placed the order. The e-mail said they might contact me to verify the order and that they didn't process orders until they received verification from my credit card company. I was never contacted, so I figured my order was smooth and there weren't any problems.

A few days passed so I sent them an e-mail to see what the current status of my order was. No reply.

A week passed by so I sent another e-mail. No reply. So I logged on to their Web site and checked the status of my order. It just showed "Verified." So I figured they got the verification from my credit card company and were getting ready to ship it out any day.

The next day I noticed the price went down since I placed my order so I e-mailed them asking if they would refund me the difference if they haven't shipped my order yet. No reply.

A few more days passed, I emailed again. No reply.

After 14 days passed (10 business days), I decided to give them a call. I was on hold for about five minutes when a 'too-busy-to-deal-with-a-customer' customer service rep picked up the line.

Priceler Rep: "Can I help you?"
Me: "I placed an order two weeks ago and I was just--"
Priceler Rep: "What's your order number?"
Me: "********"
Priceler Rep: "Looks like it's still on backorder."
Me: "Would it be possible to cancel the order?"
Priceler Rep: "Yes. I'll send you an email."
Me: "Thank you."

He was probably very busy, but that doesn't excuse the poor customer service I received. No "Hello" or "Have a nice day"...at least he didn't try to sell me something else!

-- Web site did not show latest status on my order. The item was on backorder but the Web site didn't show anything about a backorder or when they were expecting the item back in stock.
-- Item's web page shows it as available, but in reality it was on backorder.
-- E-mail correspondence was no existent. I never received a reply to any of my four e-mails.
-- $19.99 for UPS Ground shipping is expensive. Other online retailers charge $4.95 UPS Ground shipping for the same item.
-- Rude customer service.

GOOD
-- Among the cheapest on the Net. Excellent selection.
-- Cancelled my order, no hassles.
-- Web site was easy to navigate and purchase process went smooth.

"I ordered a Sony DSC-V1 from this vendor. Later the same day they contacted me and convinced me to spend another $150 on an accessory kit. On receipt of my order the filter kit (the major part of the additional money) was unsuitable for this camera, it restricted the zoom severly. The salesman had told me that Sony recommended these filters. On calling Priceler and excpalining the situation the customer service representative was rude, discourteous and initially said he could do nothing to help me. After a lot of discussion I eventually got him to agree to replace my filter kit with a spare battery (this was the best he would do for me). The replacement battery arrived and it was not the correct battery nad not made by Sony.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.

"WARNING: I ordered a Canon A80 digital camera 2 weeks before Christmas. I received a prompt e-mail confirmation saying I would be contacted by a customer service rep to confirm my order before shipment and that the item was in-stock. I still had not heard from them 3 days later so I called. They apologized and assured me the item was in-stock and would ship that day. The rep then tried to sell me a list of accessories that were priced 2-3 times over market. I declined and the rep thanked me and ended the call.
Ten minutes later I received an e-mail saying my item was "backordered" and would not ship before year end. It offered to allow me to cancel via phone or return e-mail. I was unable to get thru to their phone number, so I cancelled by e-mail, asking for an order cancellation number. I never received one.
On December 26th I received an e-mail saying that my item was shipping that day. This time I was able to reach someone by phone, and they "pulled it off the shipping dock". Despite my request, I did not receive a cancellation number this time either.
I will not shop with this merchant again.

"Terrible! The listed price on an Olympus C-750 digital camera was phenomenal and the item was listed as "in stock". Even though the shipping costs were outrageous, the price was so low that it made good sense. A day after placing the order, "Sal" from Priceler called me and tried to sell me a filter and extra memory. After I declined (mostly because their prices on these items were outrageous), he informed me that the camera would be ready to ship in about 3 weeks. When I told him that the camera is listed "in stock" and that I thought that 3 weeks was unacceptable, he informed me that "in stock" meant that it was available for order but not available for shipping. Give me a break. My guess is that they suck you in with a great price. Then, they plan to sell you the accessories at ridiculous mark-up, ship them to you and leave you without the main item you really wanted. I was also concerned that the website didn't specifically list the bundled items in the box. I wonder if they were planning on shipping the camera without the manufacturer's bundle (which is fairly good for this camera). I told him to cancel my order. He informed me that I would receive an e-mail confirming the cancellation within 30 seconds. I still haven't received the promised e-mail. This thing just didn't pass the smell test"

"Called site after seeing no apparent update after 2 business days. It was a pleasant conversation & after a low-key mention of additional items that I may need, my order was updated and status reflected as such.

Fuji S5000 arrived Xmas eve... just in time. Later that night opened it to discover that it is malfunctioning. I can only guess the CCD became dislodged/misaligned somehow making the camera unusuable.

Called priceler 12/29, expecting to be on hold forever due to the holidays..Total of about 30 minutes and was greeted by George. Nice to talk with him. Explained the situation, he said to tell the wife he was sorry, gave me an RMA# for return with few questions asked.

Considering that it is the Christmas season, everything has gone fine, and I will do business with priceler again. I mean, after all, I can't blame the merchant for a misbehaving camera.

Priceler does indeed take care of the customer after the sale, and that's what is important.

"I ordered this item as a Christmas gift on 12-16. That evening, I received a call from an obnoxious salesman trying to upsell me. I declined, but reminded him I needed this item for Christmas. I wrote two unanswered emails when the product failed to ship in a timely manner. When I discovered it still had not shipped on Xmas eve, I cancelled the order. I never received a response. On the 26th, I received a shipment notice. THIS COMPANY IS TO BE AVOIDED. I will never do business with them again."

"Let me first start out by saying tht the price of the merchandise tat I bought from them was grat. However, the service after I bought it was terrible! After purchase, I used the third day shipping, only to find out two days later that they had not even sent it out yet. I then called them back and after turning down all the other sales pitches that they had for me, including if I wanted to buy an extended warranty from them, they told me that my item would be sent out that same day. Four days later, I received a call from them verifying my order, to which they still had not set out. I finally received my item two days later. The only way that I will ever buy from them again is if I have plenty of time to spare. "

"Very good:
I purchased an Olympus C-750 digital camera from this vendor with no issues. The base price was about $150 cheaper than local merchant's sale price. Being a higher end item, it was typically only $50 off of full retail locally, and not advertised as a sale item. Though many of the reviews I read first had the horror stories of sales pitches and nothing in stock, the vendor met the preferred web retailer requirements, so I gave it a "shot" as they say. I ordered it on Saturday the 20th. I got a call from the salesperson Sunday morning (their work week is Su-Fr). You guessed it - they wanted to sell me accessories. However, that was really just an opportunity rather than a problem. I had researched their accesories and their "inflated" prices prior to the call. They were quite willing to package a custom "kit" with just the things I needed at competitive rather than the posted prices. I really did want a larger memory card, a wide angle lens & adapter, a filter kit, and camera case. And I got all of that for less than the web price was for just the lens. All in all it was about $100 less than I could have obtained locally once the shipping was included. They also were willing to lower the shipping charges for 2nd day air so I would get it for X-mas. It all arrived in proper boxes (new, not re-furbished) on December 24th as advertised and in good condition. The salesperson was knowledgeable about the product, courteous, and very willing to create a "kit" price we could both live with (vendors need to make money to buy x-mas gifts for their kids too). The only caution I would let others know about is that some of the accessories are not the brand of the camera, so when you do your comparisons, price what you are willing to pay accordingly. The web site clearly says what brand the accessories are, so it is easy enough to perform the comparisons, and the quality of the accessories was fine for my needs. The camera itself is a dream, and much nicer than I have ever owned, but I am travelling to Australia this year and wanted something to take nice pictures with. I would have no hesitations working with this vendor or recommending others to do so as long as they do the proper thing when buying anything on the web - do your research, and don't be unreasonable - Expect savings of 10%-20%, not almost free products. Web vendors need to make money too. Sometimes the way they get their profit is packaged uniquely, but you still get value if you are reasonable and negotiable.

"First time purchaser. Everything went smoothly. There were only two things that were a bit uncomfortable: 1. The absolutely ridiculously high shipping charges tacked on the sale. (I bought two cameras and they were shipped in the same box, but I had to pay two shipping charges. Tacky!) Also, the phone call after the sale online, with the "pressure" additional purchases. I guess I needed most of the items, but it sure ran the cost up! And I had to make instant choices, without much thought. (Always good for you and dangerous for me!) But, got the cameras okay this morning. So, thanks & Happy Holidays."

"It was a bad experience. I ordered a digital camera with 3 days delivery. After 10 days I tried to call, but I had to wait 10 minutes and I was diconected. So, I sent an email for cancelling the order. Aftyer another 2 weeks a received an email my camera was shipped. Avoid them."
