"At first, there was no problem, but even before the Lollipop update Pressy had become irritating: Its app randomly brought up a pop-up screen — interrupting whatever I was doing — asking me to confirm its presence in the headphone jack. Each time, I did. Each time, I was informed I’d made the mistake of pressing the button during insertion … even though I’d actually inserted the gizmo days or weeks earlier. Each time, I had to remove and reinsert it, taking great care not to press the button, knowing that sooner or later the pop-up screen would reappear.
Since the Lollipop update, it’s become worse: I missed three phone calls and reset my phone before realizing that Android was now seeing Pressy as headphones (and thus disabled the phone’s speaker).
Do yourself a favour and skip this product. It’s a ruinous implementation of a really good idea, and the developers seem to have given up on it — in spite of other complaints like mine on Google Play, the app hasn’t been updated for the past five months, going on six as I type these words. They’re too busy promoting their next great idea — in which I’ll be sure not to invest!"
