"I bought four power washer accessories from this company.  They arrived quickly and I have no problems with three of them but one, a rotating brush, can't be mounted on the lance of my gun even though the brush is the same brand as my pressure washer (BE). The description in the ad said this, ""Used on the end of your pressure washer lance,..... Comes with a quick-connect plug to attach easily to your pressure washer lance."

The trouble is, it didn't come with the quick-connect plug as advertised, only a 1/4" pipe nipple on which the quick-connect fitting would normally be mounted... if it had been supplied as advertised. Without it there's no way to mount the brush on my lance or any normal lance that has the standard 1/4" quick-connect female fitting at the end.

So I emailed, expecting them to say "oops" and send the quick-connect plug. I'd have happily wrapped the nipple with Teflon tape and mounted the quick-connect fitting. Instead, Pressure Washers Now ignored that email, my next two emails and two phone calls.  Finally, someone called the following week. He didn't say a name but my Caller ID said he was calling from "Hamilton Equipment Company," whoever that is. He explained that the brush manufacturer is no longer supplying the connector so this problem isn't his fault.  I pointed out that (a) his ad specifically said it the fitting was included and (b) without it the brush is unusable.  He said, "Yeah, I'm changing the description in my ad.  I said that might forewarn the next unsuspecting customer but I have a brush I can't use because I can't mount it. He said, "Well, you could return it but you'll have to pay the return postage and I won't refund any of your original shipping cost, either." I started to get a little loud and at that point he suggested I go to an auto parts store and buy a connector - they carry them, he said.

I should have known better than to follow this clown's advice but stupidly, I did that - to not one but three auto parts stores and an Ace Hardware.  None had the exact fitting.  All had fittings intended for compressed air including a 1/4" dia. one that looked close so I bought one of those and installed it.  Apparently close isn't good enough because it let me mount the brush but the first time I squeezed the handle water blew past the fitting all over me and a good bit of the yard.

Finally, I mail-ordered the correct fitting from an online pressure washer parts place and that works great.  Trouble is, the fitting cost me $5 plus $8 for shipping.  Considering that I paid $28.50 for a power brush that the ad specifically said included the fitting, it seems a lot to have to spend $13 more to get one so I can actually use the brush.

You do what you want but with the attitude the proprietor has I certainly won't be buying from Pressure Washers Now again. And BTW, there's an online pressure washer buying guide site at http://www.pressure-washer-buyers-guide.com that "suggests" people buy from Pressure Washers Now on every single page.  The same guy?  Just someone who shills for them?  I dunno.  He says he has no direct connection with Pressure Washers Now but hey, you be careful out there, y'hear?
