"I purchased an unlocked GSM mobile phone to take with me overseas.
It worked with native network (T-mobile) but turned out to be locked when I tried using it with SIM cards of other GSM providers.
I sent 5 email inquiries over the course of two weeks to "Popular Electronics" with requests to resolve this issue but received no response. They do not answer phone calls either - just an answering machine asking to leave a message.
The product title on their website still says "unlocked" which is clearly a fraud.
Not responding to customers inquiries is also unacceptable."
"I ordered some cookware from this site during the last week of December. Their site mentioned that they would be unable to process/ship until mid-January, but I was not in a rush, so I placed my order. I received an email confirmation promptly. Interestingly, the confirmation did not repeat the "we-won't-ship-till-mid-January" advice.
When I had not heard anything by the third week of January, however, I contacted them to find out the status of my order. Well, I should say I TRIED to contact them. PE's "live chat", which sends them an email if chat is not active, accepted my message, but I never heard from anyone at Popular Electronics. I left a voicemail for them; still never heard from anyone there.
Despite the order confirmation, I do not see a record of my credit card being charged, so I'm going to just drop this transaction. But PE's utter lack of responsiveness = FAIL. "
