Terrible

"I ordered my pool table 10/3/2023, the shipping said 3-4 weeks. I called them to make sure I'd have it by at least mid-December. They said no problem. December comes, no pool table. I ask them how long and they said 2 more weeks. I called every two weeks for an update and I was always promised a call back. Never did they ever call me back. I always had to call them. After I asked them what they were going to do to rectify this issue they just said 'we cant control shipping delays' and they gave me a lousy $100 pool stick (which I still dont have) and here we are now FOUR MONTHS LATER and the pool table STILL ISNT HERE!!!

Don't buy from this company!!!!

Don’t Order a Pool Table with a tabletop from Pooltables.com

"Here is my horrible experience with pooltables.com. Do not order a pool table with a tabletop. Such horrible quality control. We got our pool table with tabletop delivered on 1/12/23. They came and built the pool table and no problem with the table itself. They left the tabletop in the box and said that they don’t touch that. I was so excited after spending a lot of money to have a pool table that converts to a dining table. The tabletop has pins and holes where the 4 pieces connect together ; and they were not drilled properly and the tabletop did not line up properly. It took from January 12th until March 27th to get the replacement delivered. Same thing happened it was just a drop off. When I opened the replacement 1 piece had a 5 inch crack in the wood; another piece had a bunch of scratches and another had a chip mark on it. After many emails back and forth; it took 164 days 6/26 to get a new tabletop that was finally good. They refused to take the defective tabletop top with them; now I got to look for a way and pay $$$ to dispose of it. STAY AWAY from Pooltables. Com!!! "

Not turning out to be so great.

"We ordered our table and was told it was to be delivered and installed two weeks ago. It arrived to the warehouse near the installer. It was left setting until I called, when it was past delivery date. Once the installer decided to pick it up, he learned it was missing the frame. So the missing piece needed to be ordered and delivered. Had he picked it up sooner, the part could have already been here.
We have been told the installer would call us. HE NEVER HAS. I found his number on our invoice. I just called him. He then gave me the run down of how busy he is and how he will TRY to get me squeezed in. WHAT?He was hired by pool tables.com to deliver and set up our table, then lets me know he doesn't have time for me? Not impressed. Nearly 5000 spent and no table and who knows when he can squeeze me in. Im about to tell them to keep the table!

Ordered pool table

"We ordered a pool table for outdoors. Pay $399 for white glove delivery. Get up charged $200 because they don’t have an installer. Not my problem. I will update the review if it is made right and to see if the expensive pool table is even worth the price.


Update:

I was able to speak with the general Managua Chris who was great! We will see how everything goes, but I wanted to update my review to great experience so far.

This company has Zero Empathy

"Over a month of sending emails and calling on a damaged pool table I received and no answers. 2 times I have talked to representative I was told looking into your claim.
My mother who is my dependent signed for the pool table. And because she didnt check the box or write damage claim they are not responsible for the damages. Very frustrated as I am the head of household. First time buying something for myself and I end up with a damage pool table which took me years to save up for.

"Bought a pool table from them last december, and one of the cue came with the table has the strings unraveled recently. Contacted pooltables.com, and even though there is no warranty for the cue, they sent a replacement right away. With this type of service, you can buy from them with complete peace of mind."

Stealing Money

"The experience was terrible. As I am missing work waiting for the delivery they call to say the table was damaged and would not be delivered but they are not going to refund my delivery money. No ethics or accountability. Buy somewhere else. "

Outstanding from Beginning to End. 10 stars

"Wow!! I have never such a wonderful experience before in my life. I ordered on line and was contacted immediately by Michael P (NJ Office). I had several changes and Michael P was very patient with me. Pooltables.com you have an Excellent Employee!!!! The installer they sent was polite, very professional and prompt with installation. It's definitely worth the price to pay for an installer. The price of the pool table & installation was cheaper on pooltables.com than Amazon. If I could give 10 stars if it were possible. Kudos to Pooltables.com!!!!"

Confrontational Customer Service Staff and Non-communicative Staff and Installer

"Order a pool table and was told that the item was in stock and ready to ship. After 3 to 4 business days I sent an email and inquired as to when my table will be shipped. Being an in stock item I expected the item to be shipped in a couple of days and not wait a full 5 days in a warehouse somewhere. Again this item was in stock and ready to ship as I was told. I received an email back with the tracking information and the installer. On the day of scheduled delivery, I called the installer to schedule the appointment for delivery and set up and left a message. No reply so I emailed him later that night and copied the GM at pooltables.com. No reply! Called this morning and left another message with the installer. So I figured I would reach out to Pooltables.com and I must say the person I spoke to today was confrontational and didn't want to even try to understand and listen to what my concerns was. He became defensive and then just quoted me some in house policy. Complete lack of customer service. So far they are starting off with 1 star and I will adjust this review as their 15 day policy window runs out.

So after the above and sending an email directly to the GM, I received a call from Pooltables.com as was told they called and checked and that the pooltable had arrived and that I should be hearing from their 3rd party to schedule. I finally did receive a reply to my email from the installer that he would be getting back to me soon. On Friday, I received a call for a Saturday install time. After the installers were about 30 minutes behind the range of time I called and as I was calling I noticed they were pulling up. The install went pretty well, however I do see some indentations in the wood near the felt which I am not too happy about.

Great Customer Service Experience

"What had originally started out as a negative situation was immediately reversed into quite possibly one of the best customer service experiences my husband and I have both had with any company thus far. You can gage a lot from a company by the way they interact with their customers AFTER the sale. Found the best! Forget the rest!

"I searched the Internet for the best price on a 7 ft table. If you want hassle free, fast, professional service this is the company! I was shocked when a live person called me a few hours after my purchase. I do a lot of online shopping and all I've had in the past were conf. Emails. They talked me through the prosses and genuinely thanked me for choosing them! The customer service is something out of the "Andy Griffin" days. Everything went very smooth. The 2 cues that came with the table were warped but they took care of that right away. You really can not ask for a better experience! "

"I ordered my table before Xmas 2014. It was delivered and installed within two weeks. Tables are represented by Pooltables.com to conform to applicable standards of the Billiard Congress of America for use in officially sanctioned tournaments; unfortunately, the table I received did not comply for a number of reasons.

I immediately noticed that the play was slow, i.e. the balls rebounded from the cushions slowly and at times at odd angles, that the cloth was felt, not wool, and that the object balls wobbled when coming to a stop. After sharing these observations with Pooltables.com, they responded that they did not believe there to be anything wrong with the pool table and did not offer to correct the noted deficiencies; they suggested that the table be returned.

I concluded that the table was well built, had good 1" slate and needed better cushions, cloth and balls and therefore declined to return the table. The replacement cushions are made by Artemis, the cloth is made by Simonis wool and the balls are made by Aramith. These changes make a world of difference to the table and have corrected its deficiencies at a cost of $1,500. Added to the original price of the table and installation, the total cost now exceeds $3,800.

For anyone who is not an experienced pool player, and who wants basic family recreation, tables from Pooltables.com should be adequate to satisfy them; for anyone who has experience and wants a table to match, buy a table from another source.

"We are extremely pleased with the service and professionalism with the folks at Pooltables.com. The pool table we ordered arrived quickly and was set up professionally - and it looks stunning in our game room. We also ordered a cover - but my mistake - I ordered the wrong size. When I called the up to ask what we should do, they promptly sent out a new one and said to simply send the wrong one back once we received the new - correct size cover. No hassles and no problems what-so-ever. We did order a ping pong top that arrived damaged (due to FEDEX mishandling) and when I called to ask what could be done - again, without any hesitation, they sent out a new one the very next day. Fantastic pool table, and excellent service: you can't go wrong ordering from this site."
