Don’t bother spending money here they are terrible

"They lied and said they would repair my ring free of charge so I closed my Better Business Complaint. However once closed they refused to repair and I am out now about $1,000. Quality of merchandise is not as described and they lose orders and claim no warranty . The customer service is awful to non existent. Worse yet they do not stand behind their word."

You get what you pay for, in quality and integrity of the company

"I'll be honest, I wanted to like this place. I first found out about Pompeii3 in 2015 and had searched around their engagement rings and what I would like, and they had so many wonderful rings at a discounted price. Why spend thousands of dollars for a ring, when the same "quality" is being offered for less. I put quality into quotes, because its far from good. I received my engagement ring on 5/31/22, a ring my fiancee picked out and was really nice. After 2 days of wearing it, 2 side/small stones fell out. I was worried about other things regarding the ring (like how thin the band/shank was, also no 14k stamp), but was more upset with the fact stones fell out so soon. I was really disapointed but the company rectified the issue and fixed it (although with insurance we bought from them, we still had to pay back and forth for postage). After being paranoid, thinking more could happen, I took it to a local jeweler (since this company is in a different state). The jeweler pointed out at least 10 flaws with this ring, looked under a microscope and a loop to show me everything, and I am appalled what they told me. I emailed the company again, with all the issues the jeweler pointed out, to see if they would rectify the issues and either completely fix or replace the ring but it's been 4 days with no reply. Engagement/Wedding rings should be lasting a lifetime with proper care, not the forseable event of the band snapping in half or just the fact of this ring having this many issues within 2 months of having it. Even with the proper care, this ring will not last and is definately NOT the quality we were promised when it was purchased (and we even bought a letter of apprasial which is not accurate for what we received, plus it's just a piece of paper that seemed copied from online in black and white). The craftman ship is awful, and I feel bad recommendning this place to my now fiancee, and we are both very upset that it's been past the 30 days to return it.

I had since taken the ring to a jeweler because of the fact Pompeii3 never returned our email for our concerns, doing this now breaks any contract I have with Pompeii3 which is FINE because now my ring looks the way it should have in the first place. No more stones falling out due to all the prongs being redone, and a band thick enough to last forever. The fact I had to go somewhere else to fix THEIR issue, upsets me. However, only now am I happy and I can show off my ring with pride. Will I tell people where it's from though? No.

Some people might have better experiences with Pompeii3, but it should be that ALL customers have a great experience overall. My advice to people wanting to buy from here, if it's too good to be true it probably is and if you like gambling then go for it... otherwise, maybe go somewhere else.

Dont Believe the Haters

"Hi, writing this because this company has saved me so much money and my self respect. Face it, markup on jewelry is shamefully high. This company offers an alternative.

I had bought a pair of diamond studs 3yrs ago 1+ carats each. Came back gorgeous and exactly what I ordered at a fraction of what you would pay at a walking store, that might rhyme with 'Pails' or 'Rays'.

I recently proposed and bought a wonderful 1.5 carat ring and band. My fiance was ecstatic and on clouds for all of about a week. Then she got real upset, apparently she checked websites with bad reviews of Pompeii3. I had seen them myself, but I had the previous experience with the studs and no hangups. I took her and the jewelry down to a local one man shop and he confirmed that she was holding quality merchandise. Case closed. She's confident about the ring and studs and making me 'happy' for all of it. *I did buy the 'appraisal' on the ring, not sure if that helped in quality or not (just laying this out).

I am so put out with what I can only assume are haters or competitors writing crap. I know this must be a cut throat business and that markups are a ripoff way to make a dime, but HOLY SHT. These people need to lay off. I expect either way Pompeii3 will continue to kill it, and I will be back to buy more as the years march by.

I'm writing this for the other guy's girl that's trying to figure out what he got her. Don't believe the crap on the internet.

Thanks Pompeii3, you have been good to us.

Pompeii3 DOES NOT stand behind their product!

"I would consider OTHER options if you were thinking of buying through this company, on any website. I bought an engagement ring and two stackable bands that are not channel set. The diamonds that I first received were black and not the quality that was posted on the website. It took two months for them to get the rings back to me after replacing the diamonds that were poor quality. In receiving my order back, of course I was outside of the 30-day window to exchange or get my money back. Within 2 weeks a diamond fell out of my engagement ring, (one that was replaced by Pompeii 3). I checked the other rings under a microscope and found that all the replaced diamonds, were able to be moved by finger. When I contacted the manger Kelly Russell, she refused to exchange my order for a channel set, that cost more than my original set, when I was willing to pay the difference. This would prevent any diamonds from falling out of my rings in the future.
BUT NO! Now I'm stuck with sending my rings back to get more SHODDY WORKMANSHIP, and trust that when my warranty is out is August, that this won't happen again. Which I’m certain IT WILL.
Pompeii3 has VERY POOR customer service and even WORSE quality of repair. DO NOT BUY WITH THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE DIAMONDS.

3ct wedding ring

"I had bought a pair of earrings here and loved them. So I didn’t have much hesitation buying a ring online here. I received the ring. And after looking at the center stone it had a large gash type mark inside it along with the center stone being loose. I contacted support and had to pay to $25 with no insurance on it and pray. I got the ring back again. Center stone was tightened but it was the same stone. Contacted support again. They say no it’s a different stone. So I got a stone with the same mark in the same place ..?if I want a better quality stone they will be a price increase. I said no for the amount of money paid I want one without a gash in it. They paid to ship it back this time but will not give me a refund after I requested citing that it’s a very strict policy and now that we have messed around shipping it back and forth I’m over the time limit. I’m very disappointed. I would say buyers beware. A tiny stone may be ok but I would not recommend buying any stone of size here. My mom always said you get what you pay for , but here this is not the case. "

Not Worth It

"My experience with Pompeii has been overwhelmed by incompetency and a lack of accountability.  I made a purchase and was sent the wrong item.  It was inexcusable for me, so I opted for a refund instead of a repair or replacement.  I was informed I would not receive a full refund because their promise was fulfilled.  If the promise was to attain mastery in abysmal service, they fulfilled it many times over.  However, the promise was I would receive my purchase in two days.  Therefore, the only thing Pompeii gave was a failure to honor the promise.  Now, Pompeii wants me to accept less money than I gave them to pay for their amateurish behavior.  I refuse to do so.  Here is a warning.  This company reneges on its word.  I have not been greeted with an honorable demeanor while conducting business with them.  As I said, I refuse to pay for Pompeii's ineptness.  This was no small mistake, especially since they are supposed, experts.  Even a three-year-old can choose the correct number.  I decided to return everything, including two other purchases I made. This is no small incident. My combined purchases are over $5000. I will never purchase anything from them again. Their customer service is reprehensible, too."

Grey Diamonds

"I ordered a pair of diamond studs. They arrived Christmas Eve, so I wrapped them quickly. I was terribly embarrassed when I saw them in the light. The diamonds appeared grey and the white gold looked like stainless steel. There was no shine. My daughter's comment was, "Thanks mom. I hope you didn't spend a lot of money on them." That's when I knew they had to go. Two days later, I went to a local jewelry store and bought another pair for her. They are beautiful and outshine the Pompeii earrings by a long shot. The new earrings cost me more, but as they say, you get what you pay for! "

Poor quality knockoffs

"I lost my wedding band, which had unfortunately been discontinued from the jeweler. I found the exact, identical ring on Pompeii and for half the price that I paid. I thought my jeweler must have just had a huge markup. When I received the ring I was immediately shocked at the quality. This ring was extremely thin, very little metal, and used some cheap method of etching to achieve the same affect as in the original ring. I contacted Pompeii the same day, received authorization to return it a few days later, and pointed out that the picture they were using was of a different ring. What they made was a cheap knockoff version of the original. I didn't receive any issues returning and my card was credited back. I noticed also that the picture on the website has been updated. I give 1 star for quality and bait and switch, added one star for not giving me a hassle to return like some others have experienced. Will not purchase from here again, lesson learned. "

Avoid at all costs

"I brought the extra warranty, after getting the ring resized, we received the ring at the end of December. After 7 weeks, diamonds have started falling out of the ring. It is not as described on the website, because the diamonds are not prong set, it looks like they are glued. Despite all of this, the company are refusing to refund the purchase, hiding behind T&Cs. Avoid at all costs."

Be ware

"Be aware.  This company switched my stones when you i sent my rings in for repair.   In Sept. 2019, I purchased 2 rings clarity VS.  and within a couple of weeks both ring had a broken prong.  I sent them in for repairs the forever us ring was originally color F colorless and when I got it back the stones were brown and some very dark brown.  I refused it and sent it back they still have it and I can't get a straight answer on the shipping status.  Pay pal dispute pending. The engagement ring had a beautiful near colorless stone no yellow and I got a yellow stone back, and when I just called I was given the run around how it would cost them money to replace stones. If they replace a good stone with a lower grade stone how will that cost them money?  It is funny how a prong on two rings around the same time breaks for the same person.  So I posted reviews on a few websites with my experiences.    And I was contacted by Kelly and told to backtrack and remove all my reviews before they would try to look into the issue.   And then I got this email:

They are withholding service/jewelry as hostage for me to remove all my reviews that is a kind of blackmail because their dishonest and underhanded actions caused unfavorable reactions

 They have a 30 day refund policy after the 30 days they feel that they can do anything Send you anything And there is nothing you can do
    This shows the true colors of this company.  BE AWARE.   This company switches stones. It happened to me twice.
There are reviews of people telling the same story. And allot of reviews about faulty settings which is suspicious taking into consideration what happened to me. Look on social media.

Surprised

"So I was skeptical but ordered anyways because the prices were enticing. I ordered an engagement ring and wedding band. Shipping wasn’t bad, the wait a little long but I wasn’t in a rush. I got the rings and was very impressed at the quality. I looked for specific diamond ratings and classes. I took them to a jeweler and confirmed they were in fact what I ordered. My fiancé loves the engagement ring, she hasn’t seen the wedding band yet. I’m very pleased with the quality of the rings. "

HORRIBLE, POOR SERVICE, BAD RINGS

"Poor quality, bad service, waste of money
I have never experienced such bad service. The rings are poorly made and they come in a cheapy box. My boyfriend ordered me a rind before Christmas and realized the shipping speed was very slow, he paid for expedited shipping so we can actually receive it for Christmas (very pricey) but didn't come till a week after. The ring came with a diamond missing. We called, the lady was very very rude and promised a new ring would be made. We ship it back to wait 2 weeks for the SAME RING to come back with the diamond missing and the prongs bent. This was not a cheap ring. He called again just for the lady to give him the same old "We will have a new one made blah blah blah" and decides to be very impatient and hang up. We decided to give it a couple days and call back to get a return label because at this point we don't want to pay for more shipping and the lady says that the policy has changed and they do not send out return labels (EVEN IF YOU GET TWO BROKEN RINGS) This is all a sham. Do not purchase a ring from them. Poorly made, sucky service. We are VERY happy with our Kays ring. They are a complete rip off and do not care about what happens after you order the ring

"This site is a gem. Three years ago I bought an engagement ring and wedding ands. Last year I bought a blue topaz ring and just recently purchased a pair of diamond studs for. Christmas. The studs just arrived and I couldn't be happier they are incredible for the money. I ordered the 1ct pair for $499. Can't say enough Pompeii thanks for making me look good with my better half!"
